      My boyfriend and I have been together since the middle of 2014. I don't exactly remember when, since… it may sound weird, but we have never actually proposed to each other. We are comfortable around, taking good care around each other and being lovey dovey, so... yeah

      @wedge:

      I didn't know ratio comparison was a fetish too 😄 Anyway, for real comparison the downloaded amount should be at least 100 GB. Thus the one with 45+ ratio and only 250 MB downloaded doesn't count. Meanwhile, us lowly ones are trying hard to keep our ratio at 1.  :cheers:

      A fetish and necessity. Once you've get the hang of it, it's very easy to upped your ratio  🙂

      i have an entire collection of fragrances and i pride myself on making sure that they are exclusive (i.e Creed, Clive Christian, Hermessences, Marly). Fragrances and fragrance houses that i don't have to be concerned about - i don't have to worry about smelling like 5 other people i meet in a day.

      Well if I spot it right away I will always give it back. Had that few times actually. But I don't know if I would after going home and then realizing it. Cause I'm lazy.
      The thing is you just have to think like "it's somebody loss and my win". It's like using luck and coincidence. You shouldn't do that. You should earn money by just working hard and not by using someone's misfortune. That makes you a shitty person. In Poland hm. Well when we go abroad we are very hard working. I'd say we're one of the best workers. But here, within the country, a lot of people are lazy and want to get everything for free. So that could happen often. But luckily or hopefully there is the same amount of people that don't walk by idle and actually react.

      I had one situation though. I have to say I was more greed than moral. I bought a phone online and it came the next day. Then the next day the same phone came by a postman and I was like wtf?! I of course gave it back because my dad wanted the invoice and they didn't send it so he contacted them and told them about the second mobile. But this was the one time I would actually stay quiet and just hmm 😄 I know it's totally bad, but I'm being honest at least. I never stole anything in my life. I never cheated on anyone for my benefit. But I guess it was a different story when something comes to your house like "GO AHEAD JUST TAKE IT". Or I would not give it back because of the fact that I'm too lazy to make a parcel and send it back -.-

      @blackwing:

      If the newborn is suddenly stopped from suckling on the tit, it DOESN'T die. Not at all the same thing.

      I'm not quite sure what you're trying to prove. I've already admitted that the dependence of a foetus on its mother is in some ways unique - mostly in the sense that the foetus is dependent on one person whereas a newborn baby can in theory substitute another person for the source of its nutrients, warmth, shelter, etc.

      Still, I'm really not sure where this gets you. I'm still not persuaded by the suggestion that a foetus isn't a person just because it is wholly dependent upon another person quite simply because I think everyone is dependent on other people. The fact that a foetus is dependent (at least immediately) on one person whereas I am dependent on hundreds of them doesn't seem to me to create a qualitative difference between the foetus and me. It places additional weighty responsibilities on the mother, to be sure, but it does not - to me - mean that the foetus is simply part of her any more than I am part of my employer just because I rely on him for my wages, or my milkman because I rely on him for something to put on my cornflakes.

      I'd like to have a daughter so she could take care of me when I'm old.

      Good luck with that one.

      I'm pretty sure having a daughter doesn't come with either the requirement or guarantee that the daughter has to or will "take care" of you.

      Timely Delivery - Closing Words & Such

      Before anything…

      A thank you to all of you and the interest to have you read this–with a special thank you to those responding! 😄

      In addition to whatever else, without doubt, there is a bit of irony here.

      A brief explanation came with the card I received from him yesterday. Apologizing, saying he had to "move on"–it also mentioned the return of some things and a package was on its way to me.

      The photo shown in the image below was one of the items in the package. The package came about an hour ago--ironically, yet somehow fitting with it all--the gift arriving today…today being my birthday.

      Oh well. ???

      Years ago...I had fewer gray hairs--he had fewer pounds!.jpg

I earned my MS in medical physics in University of Santo Thomas and I'm currently working at a hospital near the campus where I earned my MS. I'm planning to take my PhD in biomedical physics but nah :laugh:

      As someone older in a relationship with someone (22 yrs) younger, I worry about this day arriving for us as well. I know that I'll be gone long before he is, and that has inspired me to start making sure now that he will be financially and emotionally prepared. Thank you for sharing this with us, and congratulations on your long, loving relationship. It's an inspiration to us all.

      I have always been early, to parties, work, life.
      Now so more than ever as I teach in a Latin country, which means time runs differently down here.
      I, however, start my classes, both work and private ones on the hour that is programmed, it actually means many times that I 'teach' less time as they are almost always running late.

      That's terrible, Eridanos. I'm sorry you had to go through that. The pressure to conform and the fear of labels is much much stronger at that stage. Many guys at that age wouldn't have the strength or courage to break the peer pressure yet. I did keep one good friend who was experimenting with me, but we kept things quiet and were very careful with how we acted.

      But it does get better, at least in my experience- once I entered college. I went to a big university and made some great friends and finally managed to come out to the ones closest to me. They stood by me and there wasn't as much pressure or judgement as there was in high school.
