@zoji3k red the topic again and maybe you'll get what op means, the term collection is being used as a synonym for "dump", with dozens of files that are totally unrelated or simply share a category, like twinks, or bears.

One thing that all those torrents share in common is that the files are massive, it might not be a "nefarious" reason but it is pretty much clear that they're doing it for the traffic.

IMO it only clutters the site and, if anything, makes it harder to find legitimate collections. But no one's forced to download, and it's not against any rule so...

@cp2000 Thanks very much for the historical perspective, which I didn't address. "Baiting" wasn't a thing 10+ years ago, and while the system is slow to adapt to the rapid pace of technology, it is indeed getting there.

There is also the ethical side to all this: I think it's rude and inconsiderate to violate the privacy of complete strangers for one's own gratification. If this is something that appeals to people, there's enough fantasy porn out there that simulates this--I'm thinking of sites like sleepingmen.com, czechhunter.com, sneakypeek.com, and others in the past.

Symlinks seem to be more popular - people use them e.g. when moving installed games from one disk to another. I've been using them for years. Tried them with uTorrent a few years ago - and it didn't work, apparently because it's adding ".!ut" to incomplete files, and it breaks the link. Only now I tried hard links - and it works. And with DupeGuru you can even remove duplicates from overlapping packs, but still keep seeding them all, thanks to hard links.

@frostygrin i guess they changed it again recently, a mod had told me the max concurrent downloads was 8 for everyone even though the tracker reported a max of 15. I remember very well that I'd see that message in the tracker status and in the site it would show i was downloading 8 torrents... I added a bunch now just to test and it capped at 15 like you said.

DMCA laws have no effect in Russia, this is why russian trackers have basically everything. And if the domain and server are all operated by Russian companies, copyright holders are completely toothless, no one will be reading their emails 😂

@cp2000 honestly this soundds more like just intimidation tactic almost to make people afraid todo it.... i didnt know companies still did this. Except that Male Physical 2.0 creep assfag would probably do it.

Not really, mainly because I'm not a fan of needing to scroll within a page, especially with pics. For example, www.gay-torrents.net requires you to scroll to see all the pic thumbnails on the left of the torrent page, right where I leave my mouse ready to hit the download button. It's not awful, but it's an annoyance for me.
