    • RE: Rachel Dolezal is Broke and on Food Stamps

      @aadam101:

      I assume she is coming forward with this information in the hopes that someone offers her a job.  I hope she gets one.  I don't think she did anything that bad.  It's not like she was trying to hurt black people.  She was helping them.

      http://www.foxnews.com/us/2017/02/26/rachel-dolezal-white-woman-who-identifies-as-black-now-jobless-may-soon-be-homeless.html

      I agree, her intent wasn't to harm anyone in the black community. It's sad how a lot of black people put her through all that mess over her wanting to be a part of black culture. I understand why some were upset initially but it wasn't like she was saying every black person is the exact same therefore she wanted to be like every black person; that wasn't what she was saying at all. She is her own self, an individual who strongly identified with the black experience. Some experiences in the black community are actually very universal. We're not very different beyond skin color. The strong backlash from the black community directly cost her very real opportunities, and it's wrong. She could change her name and return to her look before she made the changes and live life as a white woman who doesn't identify with black culture but then she would be uncomfortable because that's not who she is. It's just so wrong how people treated her in my opinion.

      Some of you need to be honest, it doesn't matter how much evidence of how true a situation is, you'd still doubt it. It's really sad how far we have fallen. You didn't doubt the circumstances around the Matthew Shepard case when it happened, did you? He really was the innocent victim of a hate crime in this country. Millions of people here dismissed what happened to him or didn't see the inhumanity of it, and then-President George W. Bush wouldn't even sign legislation to strengthen the hate crime laws here after it happened. We cannot start falling backwards as the result of #45 and his disgusting behavior. We have to move forward as a people or #45 will destroy what humanity we have left. It's highly disturbing to me that the first reaction to a possible hate crime is, "Liberals always make up stuff," instead of, "we need to try working together to make sure REAL incidents like this do not happen." I really hope nothing serious like what happened to Matthew Shepard happens again because with Jeff Sessions as AG, I don't even want to think of how damaging he'd be.

    • RE: Girls have a higher chance of getting pregnant than boys says Grace Mugabe

      @raphjd:

      If you have paid attention, the poster I responded to is an anti-white racist.

      And Mugabe's husband is a dictator.

      Racism as defined by Merriam-Webster: (1) - a belief that race is the primary determinant of human traits and capacities and that racial differences produce an inherent superiority of a particular race; (2) - a doctrine or political program based on the assumption of racism and designed to execute its principles, a political or social system founded on racism; and (3) - racial prejudice or discrimination.

      When have I stated that black people are superior to white people on this forum? Where have I advocated for a system that will demonize white people just for being white? When have I said on here that ALL white people are racists? If you cannot point to any of my statements on here that falls into any of those categories, then your personal attack on me is FALSE.

      I have noticed you on thread after thread demonizing black people no matter what the situation is. I DO NOT DO THAT. I demonize actual people like #45 or Steve Bannon or Jeff Sessions, NOT THE ENTIRE WHITE POPULATION OF THIS COUNTRY. I have noticed you attribute isolated incidents committed by one black person or a handful of black people to an entire race of people; whereas I have based my arguments on the EFFECTS of historical factual incidents that have occurred within this country because I truly believe some incidents are directly or slightly indirectly tied to the very real system of oppression that was, and in some instances still is, in place.

      I have stated many, many times that I do not hold the belief that black people are superior to white people or that there should be a system set up to discriminate against white people. I have stated that I believe it is indeed a fact that a black person can be racially prejudice against white people and that it can indeed cause harm even if it is not backed by a power system in America. I am not the one that is racist on here. You put words in my mouth by saying I claimed or your racism led you to believe I claimed, "Trump is evil because he's white, Mugabe is great because she's black." I NEVER SAID THAT. I NEVER EVEN SAID SHE WAS GREAT. I actually said, "I would rather her be our president in America than Mr. Agent Orange to be honest. She's still more competent than he'd ever be." THAT IS AN INSULT TO #45, NOT TO WHITE PEOPLE. It is an INSULT, not a form of PRAISE to say Grace Mugabe is somehow great because she is black; just that she has a higher competency level than #45. All of your arguments against me are now invalid because you have proven yourself incapable of even having a real discussion with FACTS, historical or current.

    • RE: "MOONLIGHT" WINS BEST PICTURE

      IMDB rating doesn't factor into Academy Award win lol. Moonlight was the most critically-acclaimed movie of 2016 by over 100 professional movie critics. It deserved Best Picture for many, many other reasons than that though. Political correctness had absolutely nothing to do with it. If that were the case, Fences or Hidden Figures would have won since those movies dealt with historical racism. Moonlight was mostly set in more recent years and had ZERO mentions of racism in it. Try again with that raggedy argument lol.

      That "states' rights" argument is about to go right out the window because the Corrupt Racist Elf (Sessions) is going to go after the states who have legalized recreational marijuana. And since the Corrupt Racist Elf is reversing the federal government's stance on for-profit prisons, I think it's fair to say a lot of weed smokers of all ages are going to be entered into the criminal justice system to boost for-profit prison stocks. Obviously, this is what those 77,000 voters spread across Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan wanted; more prisoners in for-profit prisons instead of jobs plans to get them back to work. MAGA, right?  :blind:

      @ocpete:

      Nobody arrived here, in the United States in 1492.  People should be judged in the context of their own times.  Most native Americans were unfortunately killed by disease, diseases from the new world were also spread to Europe at the same time.  Christopher Columbus himself succumbed to syphilis.  The lack of any scientific understanding of the diseases on both sides of the Atlantic unfortunately enable this suffering.  Don't forget, the Europeans built their presence resistance to many of these diseases during the black plagues, when their population was decimated multiple times. The settlers who originally arrived in the United States were in territory claimed by the British crown and seeking greater freedoms and opportunities than they did at home.  They did so with charters from the crown and legally (internationally during the time period) emigrated to the what became the colonies and later the United States.

      "People should be judged in the context of their own times" is the biggest cop out EVER! Seriously? There was no atonement for the downright genocide and brutality committed by those savages who immorally came to this land and claimed it as their own. No atonement whatsoever. The descendants of that trash have no right to do what they are currently doing. This land is your land, right? You just don't know what Pandora's box has been opened in this country by electing that orange piece of crap as president and letting him put a white nationalist in charge of things in the White House. It's about to get very, very real here in terms of protesting and resistance. This has been a long time coming.

      As for Grace Mugabe, her comments are no surprise to anyone who has been to Zim or SA.

      Zuma's HIV cleansing shower comments still tops it.  :funny2:

      How is she any different than a lunatic who lies almost everyday to the American people and has his counsel lie so much that she's being banned from news coverage? He and his white supremacist buddy Bannon are trying to change our country from a republic to a dictatorship, so exactly how is Bannon different than Grace Mugabe and #45 different than dictators in the world?

      Girls have a higher chance of getting pregnant than boys says Grace Mugabe

      Speaking at a rally in Buhera, a town which is 110 miles away from the border town of Mutare, in Zimbabwe, the PhD holder said that it was imperative for girls to be vigilant.

      “Girls have a higher chance of falling pregnant than boys. If you look at the statistics, girls have nearly 100% chance of getting pregnant, while boys have nearly zero chances of falling pregnant. This means girls have to be extra extra vigilant”, she said.

      She was speaking at the re-launch of her nationwide rallies, in which she seeks to be confirmed as the next President of Zimbabe after her iconic husband Robert Mugabe dies.

      At the same rally, she also said that it was possible that Mugabe’s Zanu PF party would field him as a candidate even if he was dead.

      Grace Mugabe also took the time to explain how bees have sex in the air to bemused 8 year olds who were watching the rally.

      She said the Queen Bee would literally ‘get done’ in the air.

      Grace Mugabe holds a PhD, which she was dubiously given two years ago, within 2 months of enrolling.

      In her response to the dubious degree, she said that she did it by Grace, since her name was Grace.

      Efforts to get a comment, on whether Grace Mugabe had even held a Grade Three science text book, which makes it clear that boys cannot get pregnant were fruitless.
      http://www.africametro.com/southern-africa/zimbabwe/girls-higher-chance-getting-pregnant-boys-says-grace-mugabe

      Yep, definitely presidential material.  I wonder how many times Grace tried to get President Mugabe pregnant.

      I would rather her be our president in America than Mr. Agent Orange to be honest. She's still more competent than he'd ever be.

      Thank you! The real Native Americans who were slaughtered like cattle by those murderous white immigrants that immorally came here can attest to that fact. @jbo1:

      Democrats were in power for 8 years, why did no one protest Obama's mass deportations? Why did no one demand that the US government give citizenship to all of these people who have been living in the US for a decade?

      This is pathological altruism. Liberal Americans pretend to care about Latin Americans because it makes them feel good about themselves, but they don't really care. They view us as cheap labour and political props.

      25,000 people are murdered in Mexico every year, the government is corrupt and authoritarian but no one stands in front of the Mexican embassy to protest the Mexican government.

      Liberals need to stop romanticizing other people's poverty and struggles for their own benefit. They care about this man's suicide because it makes Trump look bad, nothing else. They don't really care about the hundreds of Mexicans, Venezuelans, Colombians, Brazilians, Salvadorans who are murdered every day.

      During the election, no one stepped up and said "If Trump wins, I'm moving to Mexico to help struggling communities and invest in their economy". They wanted to go to Canada, a progressive first world country.

      Another one for the soulless column. Anymore??

      @obras62:

      The main problem with Trump, and there are many, is that he's okay at selling things (not great but okay) and he sells his ideas but can't follow through with them because he's listening to people whom he thinks are smart in the areas he wants taken care of.

      He is in trouble if he needs to start campaigning now, isn't he?

      He has no more momentum so he tries what worked in the past, campaigning.

      HOPEFULLY, we all will get ourselves, family, and friends to vote in the Mid-term elections in two more years and vote the Republicans out of office so we might have a bit more balance to the system.

      I was really hoping for Bernie, we need a person who understands the politics but yet wants something different.

      Exactly! This movement that's currently building needs to turn into voting action. Even in my state South Carolina, you have Democrats, Republicans and Independents coming together and that means one of two things can happen: (1) more Democrats may get elected or (2) the current Republicans (Tea Party mostly) will get primaried out and replaced with Republicans who will shut down this disgusting current administration. I actually wouldn't have a problem with moderate Republicans winning office and being held accountable to their actions, meaning they'd be sent into office to stop President Agent Orange. The ones who are currently supporting him have to go, and I'm so glad that people in my state of many different party affiliation and background agree. I've never seen this level of different people coming together here and I've been here all my life.

      @royalcrown89:

      This thread is about a man who killed himself after being treated inhumanely by #45 and the monsters who voted for #45, not about whatever it is some of you have tried to make this thread about. The fact that some of you can treat this like it's nothing, as if someone hasn't lost their life due to disgusting behavior on our country's part, is very disturbing to me. Who are you people? No, you're not people; you're monsters. Anyone who can see a gain or take victory in someone committing suicide is a monster. Simple as that. Whether it was a child killed by a drone strike ordered by President Obama or a disgusting action taken by #45 that caused someone to take his own life, death is never something to be ridiculed and talked about as if it is some kind of gain. We are better than that, and I would hope some of you would also call that kind of mess out on here. We may have a disgusting, filthy liar as our president right now but that does not mean we have to lose our humanity just like he has. He has no soul. Are you willing to give yours up just to prove a point or align yourself with a soulless, pathologically lying man who was barely elected as our president? I would hope not.

      WRONG… This thread is about a man that repeatedly broke the laws of this country and was returned to the country that he BELONGED in. There is NOTHING to suggest he was inhumanely treated by the President or the DHS. His death is the result of his actions, PERIOD! Has nothing to do with the USA at all.

      Okay, here's one for the soulless column. Who else?

      The alternatives would be either do nothing, or send ground troops in. Do you disagree with the decision that was made?

      Also, what does that even have to do with the thread? You do know that Obama isn't the president anymore right? You did catch that news I hope...

      Also, Trump tried a raid in Yemen, that went really well…

      This has absolutely nothing to do with President Obama, but you gotta remember, they used their hatred of him to unify their base so they still think bringing him up will help them win an argument when in reality it just shows how weak they are. They will align themselves with al Qaeda, ISIS, Russians, North Koreans, etc. if it means they get to be against the one and only black president they hate so much.

Who makes up terrorist attacks in an attempt to boost himself because he's at a 38% approval? Then again, he should keep doing it. He's actually caused a uniting force here in South Carolina. One of my senators, Senator Tim Scott, was booed by a room full of Republicans and self-proclaimed Independents when he said he supports president Agent Orange. There's organizing going on here for the first time in years and it's Democrats, Republicans, Independents, etc. organizing together against president Agent Orange. I've been to some of the meetings and these are not paid activists, one of the organizers is the chairman of a county's GOP and another organizer is a teacher who voted for #45 and now regrets it heavily and wants to do everything in her power to shut him and his incompetent administration down. The resistance is real here in South Carolina.

      I was just reminding you that there are blacks that people like you call "coons" and "white washed" who don't view everything through "crackers are evil" lenses.

      We hate racism just as much as you do, but we don't view everything as racist.   An argument between 2 people of different races over the best color for a car is just that, not some racist crap that people like you view it as.

      "We hate racism just as much as you do." You are such a joke. I have been in a lot of real racist situations, REAL ACCOUNTS OF RACISM, and someone like you would bend over backwards trying to explain it away. People like you discount our very real experience first and then wonder why we're so done with you. Listen, like I have said many times on here, I was born and raised in South Carolina. I still live here. I saw the many white people supporting and raising money for Dylann Roof. We almost had another situation here by a disgusting white racist anti-semite who thankfully was stopped before he could do something. Where are the people like you who condemn these things here? Because I live here and I can honestly tell you there aren't many. It took the FBI coming here to stop the recent racist white guy from committing mass murder, not our very own SLED department which is supposed to be on top of these things. Why is it taking the federal government to prevent hate crimes in South Carolina if so many of "you" hate racism? Your argument is crap and so is your fake sympathy, so do us all a favor and save it.

      AND YET AGAIN, you keep proving that everything is "racist" to you.    If you have no evidence of racism, you make it up.

      Oh no, proof I must be racist since I'm having lattes this morning instead of my usual coffee.

      In a few hours I'll be having lunch with 2 of my white washed coon friends while our dogs romp around on the beach.

      Only a racist views everything as racial.   That is you and your ilk.

      JUST BECAUSE I DON'T VIEW EVERYTHING AS RACIST, DOESN'T MEAN I DON'T BELIEVE THAT RACISM EXISTS.  FUCKING DUH!!!!

      You don't view ANYTHING as racist because you perpetuate racism. You're on the side of people who will deny accounts of racism on every front, unless it is some small instance of prejudice against a white person by a black person with no power or a police state behind them. I never said EVERYTHING was about racism. I know for a fact that there are hundreds of thousands if not millions of people of color who are in bad positions because of their very own decisions and actions. I am able to separate systemic and structural acts of racism from self-inflicted problems caused by people who believe they are victims of racism but actually are not. Your problem is that you are on the attack of EVERY claim, no matter how ridiculous or how completely factual that claim may be. As a result, people like you have become cynical of situations like the Charleston shooting and have aligned yourselves with the disgusting people who not only take up for scum like Dylann Roof, but have gone as far as to raise over $1 million for him. You are on the wrong side and it doesn't matter how much you claim you believe racism does exist, you have shown no indication that you yourself would ever speak out again real injustice. You're what Dr. King called the dangerous white moderate, only you're not moderate you're just simply white and dangerous.

      I refuse to further argue with someone who discounts historical facts such as the Jim Crow era, Black Codes, voter disenfranchisement, the fact that Dr. King and Medgar Evers were murdered by racist white men; as well as current facts such as the role race played in the Flint water crisis, the Charleston Nine Shooting of 2015, and the third-world treatment of black people in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina hit in 2005. You have done nothing but made excuse after excuse of racist behavior which leads me to the conclusion you sir are a racist. Goodbye.
