      @andergarcia:

      Just hope that the defeated President accepts the results and there not riots along your country because they don't accept what the American people have voted.

      I hope not either. He's been trying to stoke racial violence but so far it hasn't worked. We'll see what happens over the next couple of months.

      @raphjd:

      Biden will have defeated C-19 by 21 Jan 2021.

      The economy will explode and everyone will be rich especially illegals.

      No more dirty travel modes, everyone will teleport.

      We will tear down and rebuild every building and make them 100% green.

      COVID-19 will be with us for a long time thanks to this failure of a president; thankfully he's not getting another 4 years to kill more of us. Sadly, the damage he's caused will keep things bad for a while. And "illegals?" Really? Still with the rhetoric even though it's dog whistles like that that caused him to lose.

      I cannot agree more with what you said, @royalcrown89.
      Thanks for explaining it as clear as you did.

      It's been a while since I've posted in this forum but I had to say something because the conspiracy theories are ridiculous. No one committed fraud. People have died and he didn't even care. He still doesn't. He will go down in history as the worst president we've had, much worse than Nixon or Hoover could have ever been. The only thing that could help his image at this point is to concede and take responsibility for his many, many failures.

    • RE: Biden wins presidency, Trump denied second term in White House, Fox News project

      I'm looking forward to the real press briefings we'll have where the press secretary will be someone who reports reality and not some made up information to spew to distract everyone. I'm looking forward to having actual experts, scientists and doctors, taking bigger roles in confronting this deadly virus which has been especially deadly to Black Americans. I have lost people in my family to COVID-19 so to hear the president call it a hoax in my state earlier this year before it began wiping people out really boils my blood. He called it a hoax and then months later I have dead family members and longtime friends to my family. My great aunt, a Trump supporter, let my cousin have a wedding in her backyard and now she's dead because she believed it was all a hoax. It's disgusting how this president decided to overlook how serious this virus is and lied to us knowing all along that it truly is worse than the flu. The flu didn't kill my great aunt, COVID-19 did.

      I am looking forward to moving on from this disaster of a presidency and hopefully he hasn't ruined things to the point of no return. We are in a recession, our reputation around the world has been hurt severely, and there are people like me who have lost people because of the ignorance spread by this administration all year. "I got Black unemployment down to it's lowest level in history," Trump said. Yep, and when this virus started wiping us out, Trump said nothing. When we lost more jobs than our white counterparts and didn't get them back at the rate of our white counterparts, Trump said nothing. We saw enough. We had enough. Hope he enjoys early retirement.

    • RE: Hundreds of Thousands of Ballots Miraculously Dumped 100% For Biden

      Maybe one candidate shouldn't have told his supporters not to vote by mail for most of the year. Maybe one candidate shouldn't have tried to sabotage our postal service to discourage people from using a convenient way to vote that a number of different states have used for years (i.e. Utah & Arizona). Ballots came in late because the president screwed with the postal service. He installed his lackey to make changes to our postal service that slowed down the mail. At every turn, this president caused trouble for himself and now he's screaming fraud when there is virtually no evidence of it. They even live streamed the ballot counting in multiple cities and counties all over the country.

      To sum this all up, are we really that surprised that an unpopular president who never rose above 50% in any reputable poll taken during his entire presidency lost his reelection bid? Is the sky not blue? Is water not wet? Does 2+2 not = 4? I understand the need to go down this rabbit hole but this is what happened to Jimmy Carter in 1980 and George H.W. Bush in 1992; if you cannot convince enough people that you can turn things around, you lose. A lot of us saw this writing on the wall in 2018 and some even before that. He literally never got above 50% in any reputable polls. I know everyone hates polling but Trump had a 46-47% ceiling and that means reaching out to those outside your base. He tried that this year but much too late. This was a very straightforward election.

      Sorry to be so wordy but the conspiracy theories are becoming a bit much at this point when it's simple mathematics and logic that explain all of this. No one committed any fraud. No one magically stuffed ballots somewhere. It is difficult to beat an incumbent, but only when they're popular or have a bigger base of support.

    • RE: Donald J. Trump is an Impeached President

      @tt4079:

      Someone had to feed the board troll.

      I am sorry but it had to be pointed out. I'm tired of people making statements that contradict what is actually in the Constitution. I take the Constitution very seriously since it is the document that holds the amendment (13th) that keeps white people from enslaving people like me in this country again. With that amendment in place, the government itself cannot try to bring it back. Some supporters of Trump can try to bring back slavery but because of another amendment (2nd), people like me have the right to own guns and put an end to that the moment it starts (gun ownership among black Americans has increased dramatically since 2017 btw). Back to my point, Trump was impeached constitutionally and anyone arguing against that is participating in the spreading of misinformation and conspiracy theories.

      This president refused to defend himself under oath and provide evidence contradicting what was being said by those who did testify under oath. There is no other way to look at this factually.

    • Donald J. Trump is an Impeached President

      This is one of the reasons for low participation in this part of the forum. Under a different topic recently, a member stated that Trump was impeached unconstitutionally. That is completely inaccurate and is misinformation. Had a group of congressmen and congresswomen come together and took a vote of fifteen and deemed the president impeached, that would be unconstitutional. Had Speaker Pelosi simply deemed the president impeached without taking a single vote, that would be unconstitutional.

      Spending months investigating whether or not the president abused his power, hearing sworn testimony by those involved directly or indirectly with the situation, and then deciding to draft articles of impeachment is NOT unconstitutional. The Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power of impeaching a president and gives the Senate the sole power of convicting or acquitting the president of his impeachment.

      It's absolutely hilarious that people of the far-right in this country argue for limited interpretation of the Constitution but decided to change that view when it comes to this. It is not unconstitutional for the House to impeach a president after an inquiry, it is their constitutional duty.

      Lastly, let's remember what exactly happened during the inquiry. We had multiple people sworn under oath testifying that the president abused his power and the president refused to defend himself under oath. So, we ended up in a situation where people under oath with the threat of perjury over their heads gave testimonies and a proven liar president refused to defend himself against their testimonies under oath. Using deductive logic, he's guilty of abusing his powers. If he was truly innocent, he would have proven it with records and sworn testimony that those who testified were lying. The Senate–-especially senators from North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, and Maine---will have to answer for their actions in November.

      @raphjd:

      But our post is still bullshit because no one said anything in 7 weeks, so you are ust being a twat.

      BTW, despite the unconstitutional actions of your party, Trump is still the President an will be for another 4 years.

      How is that relevant to the point that he wasn't president in 2014? I know conspiracy theorists love to distort history but we all know this current president* wasn't the president in 2014.

      *impeached forever by power given to the House of Representatives via the Constitution

      It's been airing like this on CBC for years. The edit was made in 2014, Trump wasn't even president…

      Uh-oh, you brought a fact into the debate. Derailment coming in 5,4,3,2,1…

      Clearly you are referring to how you derailed the conversation by posting that garbage.

      I'm derailing by pointing out what you and the others always used to do on here when you couldn't win an argument? The edit was made in 2014, rendering your argument invalid. Unless you want to make the false argument that our current president* began his term prior to 2014.
