      @andergarcia:

      Just hope that the defeated President accepts the results and there not riots along your country because they don't accept what the American people have voted.

      I hope not either. He's been trying to stoke racial violence but so far it hasn't worked. We'll see what happens over the next couple of months.

      @raphjd:

      Biden will have defeated C-19 by 21 Jan 2021.

      The economy will explode and everyone will be rich especially illegals.

      No more dirty travel modes, everyone will teleport.

      We will tear down and rebuild every building and make them 100% green.

      COVID-19 will be with us for a long time thanks to this failure of a president; thankfully he's not getting another 4 years to kill more of us. Sadly, the damage he's caused will keep things bad for a while. And "illegals?" Really? Still with the rhetoric even though it's dog whistles like that that caused him to lose.

      I cannot agree more with what you said, @royalcrown89.
      Thanks for explaining it as clear as you did.

      It's been a while since I've posted in this forum but I had to say something because the conspiracy theories are ridiculous. No one committed fraud. People have died and he didn't even care. He still doesn't. He will go down in history as the worst president we've had, much worse than Nixon or Hoover could have ever been. The only thing that could help his image at this point is to concede and take responsibility for his many, many failures.

      I'm looking forward to the real press briefings we'll have where the press secretary will be someone who reports reality and not some made up information to spew to distract everyone. I'm looking forward to having actual experts, scientists and doctors, taking bigger roles in confronting this deadly virus which has been especially deadly to Black Americans. I have lost people in my family to COVID-19 so to hear the president call it a hoax in my state earlier this year before it began wiping people out really boils my blood. He called it a hoax and then months later I have dead family members and longtime friends to my family. My great aunt, a Trump supporter, let my cousin have a wedding in her backyard and now she's dead because she believed it was all a hoax. It's disgusting how this president decided to overlook how serious this virus is and lied to us knowing all along that it truly is worse than the flu. The flu didn't kill my great aunt, COVID-19 did.

      I am looking forward to moving on from this disaster of a presidency and hopefully he hasn't ruined things to the point of no return. We are in a recession, our reputation around the world has been hurt severely, and there are people like me who have lost people because of the ignorance spread by this administration all year. "I got Black unemployment down to it's lowest level in history," Trump said. Yep, and when this virus started wiping us out, Trump said nothing. When we lost more jobs than our white counterparts and didn't get them back at the rate of our white counterparts, Trump said nothing. We saw enough. We had enough. Hope he enjoys early retirement.

    • RE: Hundreds of Thousands of Ballots Miraculously Dumped 100% For Biden

      Maybe one candidate shouldn't have told his supporters not to vote by mail for most of the year. Maybe one candidate shouldn't have tried to sabotage our postal service to discourage people from using a convenient way to vote that a number of different states have used for years (i.e. Utah & Arizona). Ballots came in late because the president screwed with the postal service. He installed his lackey to make changes to our postal service that slowed down the mail. At every turn, this president caused trouble for himself and now he's screaming fraud when there is virtually no evidence of it. They even live streamed the ballot counting in multiple cities and counties all over the country.

      To sum this all up, are we really that surprised that an unpopular president who never rose above 50% in any reputable poll taken during his entire presidency lost his reelection bid? Is the sky not blue? Is water not wet? Does 2+2 not = 4? I understand the need to go down this rabbit hole but this is what happened to Jimmy Carter in 1980 and George H.W. Bush in 1992; if you cannot convince enough people that you can turn things around, you lose. A lot of us saw this writing on the wall in 2018 and some even before that. He literally never got above 50% in any reputable polls. I know everyone hates polling but Trump had a 46-47% ceiling and that means reaching out to those outside your base. He tried that this year but much too late. This was a very straightforward election.

      Sorry to be so wordy but the conspiracy theories are becoming a bit much at this point when it's simple mathematics and logic that explain all of this. No one committed any fraud. No one magically stuffed ballots somewhere. It is difficult to beat an incumbent, but only when they're popular or have a bigger base of support.

      @tt4079:

      Someone had to feed the board troll.

      I am sorry but it had to be pointed out. I'm tired of people making statements that contradict what is actually in the Constitution. I take the Constitution very seriously since it is the document that holds the amendment (13th) that keeps white people from enslaving people like me in this country again. With that amendment in place, the government itself cannot try to bring it back. Some supporters of Trump can try to bring back slavery but because of another amendment (2nd), people like me have the right to own guns and put an end to that the moment it starts (gun ownership among black Americans has increased dramatically since 2017 btw). Back to my point, Trump was impeached constitutionally and anyone arguing against that is participating in the spreading of misinformation and conspiracy theories.

      This president refused to defend himself under oath and provide evidence contradicting what was being said by those who did testify under oath. There is no other way to look at this factually.

    • Donald J. Trump is an Impeached President

      This is one of the reasons for low participation in this part of the forum. Under a different topic recently, a member stated that Trump was impeached unconstitutionally. That is completely inaccurate and is misinformation. Had a group of congressmen and congresswomen come together and took a vote of fifteen and deemed the president impeached, that would be unconstitutional. Had Speaker Pelosi simply deemed the president impeached without taking a single vote, that would be unconstitutional.

      Spending months investigating whether or not the president abused his power, hearing sworn testimony by those involved directly or indirectly with the situation, and then deciding to draft articles of impeachment is NOT unconstitutional. The Constitution gives the House of Representatives the sole power of impeaching a president and gives the Senate the sole power of convicting or acquitting the president of his impeachment.

      It's absolutely hilarious that people of the far-right in this country argue for limited interpretation of the Constitution but decided to change that view when it comes to this. It is not unconstitutional for the House to impeach a president after an inquiry, it is their constitutional duty.

      Lastly, let's remember what exactly happened during the inquiry. We had multiple people sworn under oath testifying that the president abused his power and the president refused to defend himself under oath. So, we ended up in a situation where people under oath with the threat of perjury over their heads gave testimonies and a proven liar president refused to defend himself against their testimonies under oath. Using deductive logic, he's guilty of abusing his powers. If he was truly innocent, he would have proven it with records and sworn testimony that those who testified were lying. The Senate–-especially senators from North Carolina, Georgia, Arizona, Colorado, and Maine---will have to answer for their actions in November.

      But our post is still bullshit because no one said anything in 7 weeks, so you are ust being a twat.

      BTW, despite the unconstitutional actions of your party, Trump is still the President an will be for another 4 years.

      How is that relevant to the point that he wasn't president in 2014? I know conspiracy theorists love to distort history but we all know this current president* wasn't the president in 2014.

    • RE: Looking back on this forum.

      I called attention to the downfall of this forum LONG ago and I was ridiculed for it, even by you, mhorndisk1. That was the point I was trying to make long ago. It was really simple: make your argument, defend your argument with validity, and respect others. Somehow, that was too hard of a thing to do and now this thread is…dead. No one really wants to participate in it and it's sad because we---a diverse group of gay/bi/etc. men---all have opinions just like anyone else and should be able to debate like adults.

      You can believe in whatever you want and defend your right to believe in whatever you want, but acting in bad faith when trying to debate always leads to nothing but incivility and low participation. This thread just isn't welcoming to those who want to express their views and have healthy debates. This thread has become a microcosm of American politics today; no one wants to actually debate. They want to either (a) complain and ban people from exercising free speech because they don't want to hear different opinions or (b) use disgusting behavior so that everyone will get fed up and not want to discuss anything anymore.

      @frazermuscle:

      Male can burn fat faster training fasted, women on the other day do not.

      If your not getting your macros/kcals correct in the first place, thinking about timing of meals is completely pointless. Gut health and sleep optimisization with a good diet is far far more important.

      Post-workout meal example: fast acting carbs, LOW fibre & protein.

      I.E Bowl of almond milk, cocopop cereal & a protein shake. You don't want HIGH fibre (so if you use rice, use white as its less fibre and fast absorbing), otherwise it slows down the process of absorption - insulin levels are higher after working out hard so you're soak up nutrients better.

      Thanks for this info and I love almond milk. It truly is the best replacement for dairy milk, which I stopped drinking entirely a year ago.

    • North Carolina GOP Continues Record of Fraud/Deception

      One day after having to redo an election because North Carolina Republicans committed election fraud in the 9th District in 2018, North Carolina Republicans have hit a new low.

      Instead of attending memorial events for 9/11, they broke their word to Democratic legislators and scheduled a vote to override Democratic Governor Roy Cooper's budget veto. Most of the state's Democratic legislators were attending memorial events and services to commemorate 9/11 and were given assurances that no votes would be taken; however, Republicans scheduled a vote and passed the override by a 55-9 margin.

      https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2019/09/11/north-carolina-gop-lawmakers-voted-override-governors-budget-veto/2292281001/
      https://slate.com/news-and-politics/2019/09/north-carolina-republicans-chaz-beasley-interview.html

      Republicans in North Carolina, as well as in many other states, have proven that they are willing to break every single democratic norm, tradition, and establishment to get what they want. We are in a dangerous place as a country when lawmakers cannot take out time to commemorate a horrific tragedy in this country without being backstabbed and left out of an important vote in their state legislature. I personally believe our unethical and divisive president has led us to this dark moment. Sadly, I know things will only get worse from here. They broke the law already in North Carolina by committing election fraud that triggered a new election, so it will only get worse. And of course, our crooked president supports all of this illegal and deceptive activity. Sad.

      I used to think North Carolina was slightly better than my state (South Carolina) but I'm not so sure now. Their GOP is just as disgusting as ours and we have Joe "You Lie" Wilson here.

    • RE: Ms Monopoly - more proof feminism is a lie

      Ms. Monopoly was created to put a spin on the gender pay gap debate, not to tell little girls that they deserve more money than men when they grow up. This thread is not only disingenuous in tone, it's wholly inaccurate to the meaning of the actual game. In the real world, there are "binders full of women" who earn less than their male coworkers despite often working the same exact jobs that require the same exact skills, experience, and education. In the game–-a spin on the reality of the gender pay gap---the women earn more money than the men because it's supposed to highlight inequality within the game and make you question inequality in real life.

      I notice a lot of people on the right claim they believe in equality yet they support blocking any attempt at pushing towards equality.  :hmmm:

    • RE: NRA declared a domestic terrorist group

      The NRA has done some pretty shitty things and I'll never be a member for obvious reasons, but why in the hell are they being labeled a terrorist group? What acts of terror have they committed? How could a Second Amendment Rights group be a terror group? Is San Francisco making the argument that the Constitution is, therefore, a terrorist document? The NRA is not and has never been a domestic terrorist group. We have a pretty clear amendment that gives legal citizens the natural-born right to bear arms. If a group wants to lobby congressmen to support that right, then they should be able to do so without being labeled a domestic terrorist group. I don't recall seeing reports about the NRA throwing urine or feces on protestors or attacking them with sticks and rocks and bike locks, which is disgusting illegal behavior.

      Just like how the most conservative parts of Mississippi show how going too far to the right causes mass poverty, poor health, horrible education, and death; liberal cities in California show how going too far to the left causes mass ignorance, misplaced priorities, faux outrage, and dumb cancel culture. Don't even get me started on the left's dumbass reactions to Dave Chappelle's recent Netflix special which was pure comedy gold  :crazy2:

      Like I said, the NRA can be very shitty but I will defend their right to be shitty because they're defending a right that we all have and should not have to give up if we're legal law-abiding citizens.

      Thank you for giving me an opportunity to vent about what I actually do hate about my fellow liberals.

      @raphjd:

      And yet, idiots like you still voted for them.

      Kemp obeyed the law, and won the lawsuit in 2015 over the law, that Dems passed in 1995.

      No one I know voted for Sonny Perdue when he was a conservative Democrat and one of the state legislators who passed that law in 1995. Conservative Democrats made up the majority of the Democratic Party prior to the early-2000s; therefore, your argument is invalid. While the entire legislature passed the law, it was conservative Democrats who later became Republicans who most likely wrote the law. Is Jimmy Carter on record supporting it? How about Kasim Reed? Or was it just conservative Democrats like Sonny Perdue who later became Republicans? You brought up the fact that Democrats passed the law. Can you show me proof that says current Democrats like Stacey Abrams, Kasim Reed, Michelle Nunn, Sally Yates, Hank Johnson, John Lewis, or any other Georgia Democrat either voted for the law passed in 1995 or advocated for its passage? If you cannot show me the proof, then your whole argument is invalid. You're linking the current Republican Secretary of Agriculture under Trump with liberal Democrats and that sir makes you the idiot.

      Also, you're calling hundreds of thousands if not millions of past and present conservative Georgia voters idiots because the Democratic Party controlled the Georgia state legislature prior to conservative Democrats becoming Republicans between the 1960s and 2000s. You can pretend like it didn't happen but that would easily classify as irrational behavior since it's a well-documented fact that many conservative Democrats became Republicans.

      I am not a victim. I simply don't have the luxury to overlook the fact that one misperceived move in this country could get me killed because I am black. You can use your one example all you want but you cannot tell me what my experience has been in this country nor can you tell any black person what their experiences have been in this country because you'll never know what it is like to be black. I wish I could be in a position where I could just sit back and make a mockery out of the fact this country has a bloody and disgusting past and present. Unlike you, I do have to live in it every day and I will continue to be here calling it out until it changes. As angry as you are at the mere presence of black people, you can never erase or break us. Slavery and Jim Crow couldn't erase us so you damn sure can't do it. As angry as you are at us for calling out this country and its flaws, you can't shut us up and you never will. It'll all become clearer once the bigot abandons you and goes back to his private life.

      MAGA is a cult with diverse people who have one thing in common: hate. MAGA is about white supremacy, anti-black/brown immigration, anti-woman, anti-LGBTQ, insert white male cause, insert incel male cause, etc. and without Hillary running, that fact is going to be that much clearer in the upcoming election. There is going to be some serious, serious payback for what this country did by electing a blatant bigot to the presidency for the first time in a long time. You're going to be wishing President Obama was still in office when we get a far-left president who erases white supremacy for good and moves us the forward. Do you honestly still think Trump can round up those same exact 77,000 votes across 3 states again? He couldn't even help keep midwest gubernatorial seats Republican in 2018 with Ohio being the only exception. Good luck.

    • RE: Judge: Georgia must scrap old voting machines after 2019

      I never said all Southern Democrats were KKK members or even racists; rather, I said a number of them were conservative and became Republicans, including future-Governor Sonny Perdue. It is a well-documented fact that many Southern Democrats who favored segregation and hated Civil Rights became Republicans between the late-1960s to the early-2000s. Most if not all of the segregationist Democrats and Dixiecrats like Strom Thurmond became Republicans by the 2000s.

      Brian Kemp nearly lost and would have lost had thousands of voters not been unfairly purged and had he not directed police to harass black voters who were trying get to the polls during the early voting period across the state. For that reason, he'll continue to be an unpopular governor and will most likely lose reelection now that he can no longer use his suppressive tactics.

    • RE: FLA Gay Killer to be Executed

      @JohnAllenson:

      The three problems with using the Death penalty to stop sociopaths.
      1/  Part of the definition of "sociopath" is a person who isn't deterred by the threat of punishment.
      2/  There is systemic bias in who gets the death penalty and who doesn't.  Which is why Canada no longer has a death penalty.  (One of the cases in recent Canadian law was Carla Homolka who recieved a significantly lighter sentence than her partner Paul Bernardo.)
      3/  There is a correlation between large numbers of state executions and levels of violence in the general society.  (Note, correlation is not causation.  High levels of social violence could lead to higher acceptance of executions.  High levels of executions could lead to higher levels of violence in the society.  Or there could be outside factors raising both of them by coincidence.)

      I've been trying to evolve on the death penalty for a while because there definitely is a bias in who gets the death penalty and who doesn't; however, not everyone who commits murder is a sociopath. Murderers like Timothy McVeigh (Oklahoma City bombing), Lawrence Brewer, and John King (both showed no remorse for the brutal killing of James Byrd, Jr. in Texas) deserved to be put to death. They were clearly trying to stoke serious divisions and encourage violence with their actions and had they not been executed, they could've led cults from prison via communication with like-minded individuals outside of prison. While their state-sponsored deaths have not prevented all hate crimes, I'm sure it made those who wanted to kill someone because of their race, gender, sexuality, etc. rethink whether or not it was worth dying over. James Byrd, Jr.'s son was actually against the death penalty and didn't want his father's murderers to be executed and I respect him for that. However, if it were my father, I would want them dead. I would want to see them being executed.
