I've done a lot of testing at the beginning of the year and always my upload was counted correctly, except when I used BT Guard or GT Guard proxy services … in that case the download isn't count correctly either.

Yes, that tracker should run. Actually it is the same tracker, both URL should point to the same IP.

Check your hosts file, reboot the PC and modem/router. Until yesterday the DNS of gtru.net was wrong for 2 days.

Your absolute numbers of Upload and download are very high. this means to increase the share ratio a lot of upload is needed.

13.6 GB divided by 864 GB gives an share ratio increase of 0.0157 under the condition of no download while you uploaded the 13.6 GB.

@martini20 : for those with the red arrow, what are the "Status" and what is the tracker status message behind the tracker announce URL under the "Tracker" tab in the lower µTorrent window part.

The tracker message can be long and you might need to expand the column to get the full message. Usually the message gives a good hint to the issue.

Both torrent id and URL reporting are working. smithdn's post is made, because we promote torrents to the top of the list, which changes the date. Therefore the promoted earlier torrent can have the later date, but should have edited to the beginning of the description it's original upload date.

Comparing the torrent id's allows to be sure, the earlier id is the original.

Your download privilege is back only for a limited time (, unless you improve your share ratio). This will enable you to get the "right" torrents and keep them, at least 1, to earn seed bonus points. You could as well concentrate on freeleech torrent on which only the upload counts, but not the download. Attention to the time left to a torrent being freeleech, though. Complete it before or download starts to count.

Our tracker relies on the update messages from the peers (your) torrent client programmes. This means your aDownloader needs to send how much it has uploaded and downloaded on a torrent to our tracker and the tracker adds it up to the statistics. Your torrent client does it each 30 minutes for a torrent. Each  torrent runs on it's own schedule.

If a torrent is stopped (not paused), the torrent client should send the upload/download stats immediately, together with a stopped message to the tracker. If he doesn't, the last period UL/DL will be lost and the tracker will need 2 cycles to recognize a torrent isn't seed anymore.

For example in my µTorrent, I had to configure "proper shudown" (which is not the default) in the advanced options so he send the stop and UL/DL stats before shuting down. That keeps µTorrent running in the background a good moment after closing. Shuting down my PC just after closing µTorrent would interupt that proper shutdown of µTorrent.

If statistics on GayTorrent.ru are not taking into account all upload/download, it means the reports from the peer's torrent client programme haven't reached the tracker.

Your account is in low share ratio warning and therefore allowed to download only on torrent's file's at a time. If you try more, you'll see the "bad ratio" message from the tracker.

Our tracker got scrape switched off and all stopped or queued torrents for which your torrent client programme tries to scrape will show the "scrape error 404 error" . That is normal, it just mean you have to be part of a swarm to get the peer's information and can't get it if you are not part of a torrent's swarm. Our tracker uses this setting for improved privacy.

A known possible reason for that is using a proxy server like GT Guard or BT Guard. It will effect download, too, so the global effect on ratio is even.

This has actually nothing directly to do with your seeding/leeching activity and absolutely nothing with the share ratio.

It is a measure against bots to crawl through all pages. if you open in a short time too many torrent description pages, the code will be asked to be entered.  Each additional page opened or page refreshed changes the security code.

Here what to try:

Refresh the page on which you see the code request, open no other page and enter the code you see.

Then on the other pages, just refresh or close them, the code you see isn't valid anymore.

If that doesn't help, change to private browsing in your browser settings and back to normal browsing;

if that doesn't help, use another browser. Then after entering the code, the original browser navigation shall work again;

What is the tracker announce URL in its properties, does it look like:

http://tracker.gaytorrent.ru/HereYour SecretePasskey/announce

or does they start with http://tracker.gtru.net/ … ?

Please don't post your secrete passkey here. It is enough if you confirm the URL to be the right format and using gaytorrent.ru i/o gtru.net.

Moderators here are from all around the world, mostly the USA.  It seems you expect that if you accuse people wrongly, they will apologize?

You did download quite a number of torrents, and seeded back with an average of 26.5 KBytes/second, which is not a bad rate. However only about 10 hours, which is not a lot.

Now those torrents got all but 2 no leecher and those which got a few leecher, got over 70 seeder. So even if you would have kept the files, you can't expect any substantial upload from them. As you say you know about torrents, you will know that.

As this is your second account, you shall as well know that the start is difficult and stick to freeleech torrents to start. As you know torrents, you should know that to seed and to earn bonus points, you'll need to keep the files, but you say you didn't.

Don't you thing that all this let think you didn't understand about torrents that well as you think to do.

BTW: If you kept the movie files, you can get the torrent files back and should be able to restart seeding and earn the bonus points. Once you got 100, you can exchange them against upload credit.

I don't see where there is "speculation" with personal information and "hate". There was given no information of how many or which torrents you seed to public. It was just said that those you seed are not good to improve the share ratio. That is meant as help, so that you better select your torrents to seed. Few seeds and many leecher are good (but attention, multiple file torrents may show seeder as leecher).

Unfortunately we can't help you much with your Andoid device, simply because we don't have the experience. The same is valid for Windows 8, as of now, we got no staff team member using Windows 8, all run either XP, Vista, Windows 7, Mac OSX or Kubuntu …

Gay-Torrent.net's GT guard allows use with other trackers. I was beta tester before it got a regular service and had some subscriptions this year.

However, when using their service or the BT Guard service, only a part of my uploads and downloads got registered by the tracker.

Now I changed for a VPN service and I think my upload/downloads are counted correctly. At least both upload and download numbers climb much faster now.

Yesterday between about 03:00 CET (UTC+2) and 18:00 CET, the tracker could not update the site correctly. The tracker continued to count Upload and Download correctly so there no user lost anything. however the site not having the Seeder/Leecher correct could not attribute SBP correctly. Some members will not have got SBP while seeding, others will have got them while having stopped seeding all already.

That issue was side effect of page loading time optimizations ongoing and has been corrected. There are other related topics specific to that issue in the Forum, for example there > https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=19181.0

Regarding the ability to download freeleech torrents with taken download rights, something we did to give those user an easier way out of the low ratio warning, we had to remove it. That loophole did unfortunately lead people to what you said, continue downloading without care to share back. As for the difficulties to upload data here compared to other sites, there are reasons for it, which I can only repeat:

• Ratio controlled tracker > more seeders
• Small membership > less leecher
• Scrape support switched off > torrent clients might prefer torrents from other sites and/or careful priority option settings

What you encountered will effect users who never shut down their computer, but send it to sleep only. Mac users might be most concerned.

We had an IP change 2 days ago. This should have been propagated through the DNS around the world by now.

possibility is that you've modified your "hosts"  entries from times were we had DNS issues and it was a quick fix. It was the case on one of my PCs.

To correct that with Windows Vista and 7:
1/ In the Start menu select Accessories > right click on Notepad and select to start as administrator
2/ In the Notepad select File > Open > navigate to C:/ > Windows > System32 > drivers > etc
3/ Select in Notepad to show all files bottom right instead .txt files only, open the hosts file you'll see

If you see entries for gaytorrent.ru and gtru.net, just put an # sign in front of them or delete those line.

Save the file, which will only possible if you opened notepad with right mouse click as administrator as said upstairs.

ATTENTION: Do NOT touch any other entries, wrong manipulation may result in loosing internet navigation.

Dear Tracker konnte die Seeder/Leecher Anzeige der Seite nicht mehr updaten, hat aber Upload/Download richtig gezählt. Ein ungewollter Nebeneffekt von Optimierungen um die Seite schneller zu machen.  :blink:

Neben der fehlerhaften S/L Anzeige hat das auch zum teiweise nicht vergeben von Seed bonus Punkten (so von 3 Uhr morgens bis 18 Uhr heute abend) geführt.

Das ist nun behoben  :cheers:
