Rationator not working as it should
-
Utorrent is always working in the background but my ratio never goes up as it should. I notice that since the site came back on but now its got to a point where it's not worthwhile and completely off chart.
Recent example: Now Utorrent is on for a few days, I am sharing 17 videos at this point, utorrent indicates that 13.6GB were upload but my ratio went up only from 1.757 to 1.759 when no other torrents are shared, also bonus is very slow
Since site came back up i feel like i'm uploading and uploading all the time and rationator hardly gives me something in return. something is wrong here please advise ???

Your absolute numbers of Upload and download are very high. this means to increase the share ratio a lot of upload is needed.
13.6 GB divided by 864 GB gives an share ratio increase of 0.0157 under the condition of no download while you uploaded the 13.6 GB.

No download made in the last past days.
I don't quite understand your explanation, Are you saying that it's fine and everything is working ok? (that 13.6GB is the actual difference between 1.757-1.759 ratio?)I only know that when i download, numbers gets down very fast (as they should because i use all my download bandwidth), So OK upload always takes more time, never the less since i upload almost all the time i use to seeing my ratio in an uptrend motion, but in the last months since site came back on it just goes downhill without me changing my habits and still uploading more then downloading.

What Uwe is saying that with your figures it takes a lot of uploaded data to change your ratio by a small amount. The higher your previous figures the smaller the change in ratio
If you want to check you are getting the right credit for your uploading check the change in the actual amounts in GB (or TB) of uploaded data, rather than the ratio figure.

Yes, note the Upload value and then compare the difference, with your µTorrent difference value. Make sure you don't seed to other sites while comparing.
Actually with the information you gave,
Now: Ratio: 1.759, Downloaded: 864.31 GB > 864.1 GB * 1.759 = 1519.95 GB (1.4843 TB)
Before: Ratio: 1.757, Downloaded: 864.31 GB > 864.1 GB * 1.757 = 1518.22 GB (1.4826 TB)Gives indeed only a delta of 1.73 GB only and not the 13.6 GB you say µTorrent shows you.
I've done a lot of testing at the beginning of the year and always my upload was counted correctly, except when I used BT Guard or GT Guard proxy services … in that case the download isn't count correctly either.

Thank you both
I will test it/try again soon: I'll delete all torrents, download a bunch of new ones, keep them seeding so i can do the math as you explained.

h00ter, i was beginning to go a little gaga myself with all the figures.
Perhaps I can try and explain with some simple examples. First, to maintain your ratio you have to upload at least your ratio times your download. This is because your ratio is your upload divided by your download.
Let's say you had uploaded 4 GB and downloaded just 1 GB
So your ratio is 4. If you then upload and download another 1GB on each side your ratio becomes 5/2 or 2.5. To maintain your ratio of 4 you would need to upload 4GB for each 1GB downloaded thus 8/2 or 4 again.
Every time you upload less than the ratio x your download, your ratio will go down. (I have to upload 36 times my download to maintain my ratio right now )
With your upload total you need to upload many GBs of data (even if you download nothing) to make any small increase in your ratio , not your totals.
The best way to check that your uploads are being counted is to check the actual amounts of data being credited to you.
And I don't think you need to worry that you will be put on a watch list any time soon

Thanks, that was very helpful Cannonmc
I'm not worried, actually i like contribute to this site even though i don't consume an insane amount of porn, just a lot

I will not ask how much 'a lot' is…I suspect I tend toward the insane amount
