Some issues with the site updates by the tracker, due to some improvements made tonight. This should be solved now.

Most likely will have to adjust the calculation of points needed to make a torrent freeleech in a way that fewer are needed for old torrents and more for new.

I'd suggest to remove the original characters in place of the ? ? ? ?  ? ? ? in the file names and re-upload a torrent.

We are moving servers to improve the page loading. The connection to the tracker might be disturbed during 24 hours.

The forum got a matching SSL certificate, no more security warning in browsers.

That is not your computer set-up, but the file not being a valid video file.

It is strange that not a single of the more than 80 downloaders has reported the torrent. It is important to report torrents with files not working (after verifications that the download is complete and the computer setup can play the type of file), so that the staff can inspect it and if confirmed remove the torrent to void further useless downloads.

Our tracker had some issues from about 08:30 to 10:30 CET (UTC +2).

No, it isn't that. The data base contains all completed torrents of a member still listed on the site. Only the value of how many will be displayed in that list has been increased from 50 to 250. Mine was showing immediately more.

However, I've noticed some years back (2010?), when working to get the "lost torrents" from the spring 2009 server crash back, that from one day to another many torrent's completions lists (not visible any more to non-staff) became empty or very short. It looked for me as if some data base purging was done, but never got any confirmation from the Administrators.

No not at all. There is an equal treatment of all torrents. Taste of team (members) is not a criteria to promote a torrent.

The criteria include (not exhaustive):

• long time "dead" (no activity counter, no completed downloads for months)
• requested "dead"
• help of low ratio members being the only seed (re-seed)
• etc …

Flat 0.5 points per hour you are seeding at least one torrent.

The more torrents you've "seeding" the higher the chance to have real upload on one of them. That is better than any bonus points.

We use it to identify torrents which have been promoted to the top of the list. Promoting is done by changing the "Added" date and time to the current time. You'll find then the original upload date indicated at the beginning of the description, for example "Original upload: 2012-01-13 |"

Remark: It might be worthwhile to check if it hasn't been downloaded upon, to avoid double downloads.

We have internal procedures to decide which torrents to promoted. It is not as random as it might look. Most of the time, since we got the freeleech, it promotion is combined with a freeleech period.

Some will have noticed the ~dead? tag assorted with promoted torrents. These are torrents which had for long time no activity and/or no completed download for months. We send reseed requests and promote them to see if a seeder pops -up. If no it will be deleted a week later.
