@eobox91103 You shouldn't need software to do port forwarding. It varies widely from one router to another. Simply put, you login to your router's admin console webpage and go through your NAT settings. As a general rule, I also recommend binding your computer's MAC address to a dedicated IP address in your router's DHCP settings as well so that you don't have to adjust your port forwarding every so often as the IP address changes.

The most comprehensive method I know of is portforward.com

@frostycab Actually, because of how our tracker differs from most, port forwarding is essential as we do not support passive nodes. This means that without the port your torrent client uses being forwarded through your home network or VPN to your computer (both in TCP and UDP), getting proper upload traffic can be rather difficult.

@123dasilva Just like any other torrent, they improve the ratio, even if not fully downloaded, as any time you transfer part of the torrent to another user, you get the credit for the data transferred.

@jbearx-0 This sounds like it may be a port forwarding issue. You need to make sure when using a VPN that it supports port forwarding. More specifically, the port your torrent client is using needs to be forwarded through the VPN to your computer. Looking at your profile, it seems that SOME traffic is still making it through to you.

@grecodesk I can assure you that those are false positives. Some virus checkers don't seem to like QTM for some reason.
