RE: fucking guys... why?
@lololulu19 Thinking you can get off without a rape charge for anal sex or sex with another man is just absurd. You most definitely CAN catch a rape charge for it, even if there is no risk of pregnancy.

RE: YouTube says Pride isn't fit for kids
@blablarg18 Oh please.... This is just a convenient out to try to get it censored. I don't buy it.

RE: What is up with this video???
I did some digging and found out that the torrent was deleted by the uploader, only to be uploaded again a few hours later. I have taken corrective measures in this matter.

RE: A connection attempt failed in download
I have been keeping an eye on the situation and have noticed that at times, many torrents will time out, but after some time, come back to life. I have notified the sysop of this.

RE: HELP MY TORRENT WAS REMOVED FROM THE SITE
@blablarg18 I mean... He can demand anything that he wants, but that doesn't mean we have to comply.
Usually, my response to such demands is to tell them to file a complaint by calling 1-800-EAT-SHIT lol

RE: Identifying the uploader
@raphjd said in Identifying the uploader:
There is no such thing as 100% security when doing things online.
Make sure you use a trusted VPN.
Not only do you want to use a trusted VPN so that your real IP address is not visible but you will also want to make sure that you never leave a comment on any of the torrents, as your username will appear in the comments as the uploader.
As for the torrent itself, only staff are able to see the username of the person who uploaded the torrent. Anyone who is not staff would only see uploaded by Anonymous.

RE: Who can give me ken ott this video
@sakimichan This appears to be a torrent that the uplaoder has never seeded. It is not likely that it will come to life unfortunately.

RE: Vanishing torrents ...
@jokuihmemies Generally this is done when mods remove a torrent. If it is a dupe, they'll get a message saying that it's been confirmed to be a dupe. If it's a DMCA take down, they'll also get a message as such.
There are a handful of other reasons why a torrent may get deleted. Generally, mods do message the uploader to let them know WHY the torrent is being removed.

RE: Add This Studio to the Banned Content list
@rtim Also, it should be noted that if you see that kind of thing in the torrent comments, we encourage you to click the report button. We have rules surrounding user conduct, which apply to EVERYONE on the site. We do not tolerate threats, harassment, flaming, or any other such disruptive behaviour from ALL of our users.

RE: GTRU button
@jokuihmemies This is because the forum is still hosted on the old domain. It will take much work to get it changed over.

Auto-upload privilege seems to be separate, probably at moderator discretion.
Auto upload is something we used to have. If you established a decent enough good upload history without mod assistance, you could apply to have your uploads automatically approved without a mod review. Eventually, we got so big that we couldn't keep up with the rate at which people were uploading torrents, so we had to auto approve everyone.
This option is still available to mods in a user's profile, however since there is no more torrent approval app, it more or less means that once disabled, your uploads sort of go nowhere and do not become visible to anyone other than you, so they get stuck in limbo. You can apply to have your upload rights reinstated, but whether or not this happens is determined on a per case basis.

I haven't seen anyone in pink as a VIP. The page above says,
I have, but those profiles are hard to find. In most cases that I know of, you can only get VIP status if you have had a major contribution to the site, particularly if this contribution was for an extended period of time. Many people on the VIP list are former long term staff who have stepped down for some reason.

RE: Flava Works still doing this
Just to chime in with some relevant Canadian case law... In the case of Voltage Pictures VS TekSavvy Solutions Inc (an independent Canadian ISP), it was argued and ruled that an IP address alone is insufficient information with which to make a legal claim for three main reasons.
-
An IP address alone may identify the subscriber of the service used, however it does not prove who the physical end-user of the device used actually was.
-
An IP address alone does not prove that the contents were downloaded in their entirety, or that they were shared with anyone else.
-
An IP address alone does not verify the device that was being used to commit the act.
Given that these have been accepted as being reasonable objections, it is likely that in any common law country, that the courts would take the same stand.

RE: Big White Boy torrents
@jokuihmemies Thank you for pointing that out. That sent me down a rabbit trail that uncovered the fact that the uploader in question had been banned a long time ago because he was warned about those uploads some time ago and in response, he got hostile with the staff. We shouldn't be seeing more of that crap any time soon now.
