Hotel Transylvania 3
This one is easy to grade. C+
There are virtually no surprises but no real flaws. It's an enjoyable enough excuse to get out of the heat. Adam Sandler isn't bad and Adam Samberg isn't grating - which is tremendous improvements over much of their material.
What gives it the plus is the Gremlin Air sequence. (Though when I travelled with them in 1986 they were still using their old name of Aeroflot). It's a burst of inspired lunacy that makes sense.
Guys who have average builds and expressive/quirky faces. Not into any of the extreme body types: body builder, twink, or very fat.
Favourite companies: Men.com or Titan. Performers like Matt Matters, Dean Flynn, Ayden Anderman, Gus Maddox, Will Braun, Paul Canon….
Someone else I really liked was Matthew Matters. He doesn't seem to have made a movie since 2009.

There's a lot of Transguys I find attractive. Transwomen not so much.
I live in a big city (Toronto) where there are a lot of social groups from things like sports to movies to religious groups.
If you like movies see whether there's a Facebook group for people to see movies together. Is there a gay/welcoming Church? I know people who met a lot of their friends through MCCT. I'm heavily into Science Fiction/Fantasy and most of my friends are also people involved in that.
Ocean's 8:
Cotton-candy movie. Sweet and fluffy without any depth. Enjoyable but forgettable.
The cast was very good as were the visuals. But it's not funny enough to be a comedy and it's not tense enough to be a thriller.

The Incredibles 2:
Emotionally messier therefore better. I want to know more about these characters after the movie ended.
Like Black Panther, the antagonist wasn't precisely in the wrong. There was a good argument on what to do about unjust laws.
Entertaining with some depth.
A
I knew of a Great Aunt and one cousin.
Even for children?????
Yes, I agree with it. The queer children can see themselves which is good. The non-queer children can seethe members of their communities.
Who says that one of ten friends is gay?
It sounds like an even more misunderstood version of a finding from Kinsey. He found that in a particular period of time 10% of the male subjects had had exclusively male to male sexual activity over a period of 3 years. Kinsey wanted to repeat this survey each decade to find if the ratios of same-sex vs opposite sex encounters changed over time.
Kinsey point blank refused to talk about something as undefined as Sexual Orientation. He strictly looked at sexual behavior.
There has never been a time when 10% of the male population have identified as "gay".
A group of friends is not a random selection of the population. Gay men socialize with other gay men.
"Legal" and "Moral" should be kept separate.
There are a lot of things I consider immoral from getting plastic surgery to idolatry to smoking to eating pork that I would defend people having an absolute right to do.
There is no 'perfect' time.
There's always going to be uncertainty and people reacting badly. But there are better times. I can't recommend children too young to live on their own who are dependent on homophobic parents to come out and risk violence and homelessness. There are countries that have death sentences for homosexuality.
But other than that, people should come out as soon as they can. It's better to have a real life than a make-believe pretend life.
