RE: Redownloading my own torrents. Will it affect my ratio?
If I may suggest an alternative solution....
I was careless and rushed when cleaning up my system recently, and deleted the entire partition on one of my drives. Panic ensued as I obviously thought that was it since deleting a partition is usually more permanent than simply deleting the files. FEAR NOT! I looked around and found a little program called "Disk Drill" from Cleverfiles. Ran it and managed to recover virtually everything form the deleted partition.
Forget the free version as you can't really do anything with it, but I managed to find the full version on another torrent site and it worked like a charm. Have a hunt around and see if you can find a copy.

@lololulu19 Well, I'm fairly sure there was one with Dennis Reed topping in it, but you don't like him so don't know if its worth looking for...

Based on previous offerings I'd say this is unlikely, but I'll play along. Statistically it's got to happen eventually...

...but not today, it seems.
Congratulations on citing an article in the belief that it 100% supports your argument, but not bothering to even read the whole paragraph your provided. You waste your time looking for a law firm website to back you up, and then don't even read it properly. "...it remains an open question whether copyright protection extends to pornographic movies deemed obscene by the trier of fact."
Of course, as usual you've done exactly what the damn Freedom Fairies always do and forget that there is a whole wide world out there beyond the county line. Please check this link to see why everyone rolls their eyes every time you come within a mile of this subject.

@john32123666 in some countries, they execute homosexuals.
Once again, this isn't just a simple red herring, nor is it even a school of herring. It's akin to Jesus and the feeding of the 5 thousand with the number of herring you bring to the table.

In some countries, they have a senile, bribe taking, influence peddling, document stealing, ice cream licking, hair sniffing pedophile with dementia as president.
The site already has a P&D cesspool where your type of humour seems appreciated. I know you try and throw these lines in ever so often to try and appeal to your like-minded countrymen, but do you really think it does anything to make you seem more credible to anyone else? Try and keep it there and stay on the <<<FUCKING TOPIC>>> for once in your bloody life.
@lololulu19 said in My position on torrenting gay porn.:
I suggest that anybody who believes that DMCA applies to gay porn, should LEAVE this site, because that is what this site is!
Not going anywhere, sorry. Feel free to leave yourself if you like though. Just write to these guys and I'm sure they'll help. Do you want a hand with packing?
@lololulu19 said in My position on torrenting gay porn.:
There should be a CHECKBOX when joining this site that says:
"DO YOU BELIEVE THAT SHARING TORRENTS OF GAY PORN IS ILLEGAL?" and if the person checks YES, then their membership should be denied and they should redirected to the Disney Channel - where they will sue your ass in a second if you ever share any of THEIR content. Are you ever going to accept that whatever law you think supports not just this but any argument is not universal? You keep doing this, finding one lawyer who weakly backs up your assertions, forgetting that the law they might refer to doesn't apply anywhere else. It cannot be applied globally. Quoting something from a law firm in Detroit does not mean that anyone in the UK, Egypt, China, India or anywhere else gives a damn about it because it doesn't matter to any of them. That firm could probably come out with truckloads of laws that don't even apply outside of Michigan, let alone the rest of the US, but you still 100% believe that you've won your case.
The issue of obscenity is the other problem. You haven't defined it. If you've tried in the past then it almost certainly didn't pass the same test I just brought up. I think you have a basic misunderstanding of the difference between "the law" and beliefs and values.
I have a question. Have you ever downloaded pirated films, music, books, software or anything else? Please don't try to be clever and lie because nobody will believe you. Do you not think your statement above should apply to those sources too? After all, you're not going try and argue that those things aren't covered by DMCA, are you?
I would like to finish by saying that in the case of this post I'm strangely proud of you. Unlike many of your more controversial posts you have at least returned to try to engage with responses rather than simply stride into the room and leave a steaming turd on the floor before walking out and watching from the window while everyone loudly complains about how much it stinks. So yeah, points for that.

RE: Genuine question for the mods: WTF is up with this video????
@MrMazda Thank you so much! I get that in theory all uploads are to be appreciated, but it's wonderful to hear you confirm that this is one person simply spamming the same crap over and over again as he seems to be doing on multiple[le sites. I do find myself wondering about his motivation though, as his uploads are so small that they carry little to no benefit in terms of upload credit.

RE: Three cocks.. in one ass
@john32123666 Sorry to be so ignorant, but can I ask what "w/c" means? You use it a lot on the forums and I can't work it out. Every time I see it I automatically insert "week commencing" which is what it normally means in the UK. LOL

RE: My position on torrenting gay porn.
@lololulu19 I'm not about to waste my time humoring your need for attention by scouring the web until I find something that will satisfy you. Not my job.
The simple fact is that you can't get your head around the issue. According to you copyright isn't an issue at all, yet you can't stop banging on about it. I'm pretty sure you said in the past that you've had content removed for DMCA, so this all sounds like bitterness. Just get the fuck over it and move on with your damn life.
What exactly are you hoping to achieve with all the posts on this topic? Do you expect the site owners to say "Oh, well Lollicopters said we're ok, so I guess we can ignore everything else." I've got a better idea. They should just respond to all DMCA takedown notices by providing your contact details and let you deal with it. Job done, and it might give the rest of us a bit of peace and quiet!

RE: would you be in favor of this layout for the torrent page?
Not really, mainly because I'm not a fan of needing to scroll within a page, especially with pics. For example, www.gay-torrents.net requires you to scroll to see all the pic thumbnails on the left of the torrent page, right where I leave my mouse ready to hit the download button. It's not awful, but it's an annoyance for me.

His latest video seems to be "Bareback Salesman" from 2023
Don't believe everything you read. That film is probably a compilation of ancient scenes cobbled together. I suspect in reality he's long retired from professional porn.
To make the point, I looked up Dennis Reed's filmography as his name cropped up the other day. He's still being credited in around 80 films since his death in 2016, with 10 of them being released this year.

@lololulu19 said in My position on torrenting gay porn.:
@frostycab You have never "wasted your time scouring the internet" for the nonsense that does not exist.. Yet you never fail to state that the internet is flooded with examples of gay porn copyright violations which have gone to trial and there was a conviction.
Maybe because people have had enough common sense to settle before their case ever sees the inside of a courtroom? Of course, if you are so convinced that your position is right then go forth and enjoy yourself safe in the knowledge that if you believe it then it must be true.
@lololulu19 said in My position on torrenting gay porn.:
There have been a mountain of COMPLAINTS of STRAGHT porn videos that are alledged to have violated copyrights. Almost all these complaints were made by the obscure straight porn studio "Strike 3 Holdings". Not one of their complaints ever made it to trial.
I don't know how you think this comment helps your case. You've always made a big thing of "gay" porn specifically not being able to be copyrighted to to being definitively "obscene." Now you're saying that even though a straight studio has brought cases against people those too have never made it to court. Once again, do you not think that they probably just settled rather than go through the whole waste of time and money involved in a court battle?
Interestingly, here is a quote form the law site you linked to, though in the interest of full disclosure for all the members like me who are NOT IN AMERICA AND NOT SUBJECT TO US LAW this article only consider the US legal system. I've highlighted the most relevant portions:
"Congress did not make clear if it intended to extend protection to every kind of work. Copyright law does not identify specific content that is ineligible for copyright protection. As a result, copyright law protects pornography because content-based restrictions on copyright eligibility could abridge the freedom of speech of the First Amendment. That said, obscene works do not receive First Amendment protection. In Miller v. California, 413 U.S. 15, 93 S.Ct. 2607, 37 L.Ed.2d 419 (1973), the United States Supreme Court found that the First Amendment’s freedom of speech does not apply to obscenity. Specifically, under Miller, obscenity is found when the average person, using contemporary community standards, would find that a work appeals to the prurient interests, depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct specifically defined by the applicable state law, and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value. Thus, the First Amendment protects pornography – if it is not obscene.
This brings us back to the question of what is obscenity. Applying the above test, does the average person find depictions of gay sex offensive? Blah blah blah... There are a lot of conditions in that definition of obscenity, and they'd all need to be shown to apply for any specific piece of gay porn to be considered obscene. Now consider that all of this only applies in the US, and every other country has it's own laws and definitions.
@lololulu19 said in My position on torrenting gay porn.:
And again.. if someone thinks that this site is breaking the law (it is not), then that person needs to disable their account and leave.
Honestly, do you ever actually take a minute to read anything you write before you press the submit button? The site isn't breaking the law because it complies with DMCA. If it was to ignore DMCA entirely then you might just get your wish and have the whole thing put to the test in a court of law somewhere, but thankfully the powers that be aren't dimwitted buffoons who are going put the whole site at risk to satisfy your need to feel validated.
Here's an idea, why don't you go and take this up with Joker and see if you can convince him. After all, you could be preaching to the choir on the forums but that isn't going to change anything. I'm sure he will welcome the opportunity to partake of your informed and inarguable wisdom. He's not an easy person to reach though. What you need to do is contact helpdesk with this code-phrase: "Please delete my account." and they'll put you in touch. It's not a trick, I swear!

@john32123666
Seems to me that there is a rule on this site about impersonating a moderator.. which you have repeatedly violated... just saying. To put the record straight, not once has he ever claimed to be a mod. If you think someone has to be a mod to tell you to stop waffling on constantly then you're wrong. Just saying.

RE: Looking for full video
@phoenixwing-0 I see from your forum profile that you're new here. Might I respectfully suggest that you go and take a few minutes to read the site rules and ask about any parts that you may not fully understand? Requests for uploads are banned across the entire site (forum, torrent comments, DMs...) and can lead to temporary or permanent bans when the mods spot them.
Just trying to save you any hassle.

RE: Circumventing duplicates aka Fansite collections
@ianfontinell-0 Fucking too right!
It drives me up the wall, and I've pretty much stopped downloading any of that stuff because it's all just a big con imo. People are taking random OF and JFF rips of individuals and then then bundling them into even larger "collections" where most would struggle to find any commonality between them all.
Some of the worst examples are the SketchySex and FraternityX series. It feels like every few days a new collection is uploaded that is just a bunch of vids cobbled together in such a way that it doesn't quite match the dozens of already uploaded collections.
It's not just duplicating content either. One of the last ones I grabbed was part of a themed series, all of them fairly large downloads. The last one contained a "Bonus Folder" which was filled with utterly random shite that didn't match the them of the collection, and didn't even form what anyone would call a collection in and of itself.
People are constantly padding their uploads or just blatantly gaming the system to dupe people into downloading content they already grabbed many times before. It's shitty behaviour, but often manages to sit just on the right side of the fence when it comes to the rules. I have no idea how to combat it without inundating the mods with reports of dubious uploads.
