Just to add my 2-cents worth - I had this happen to me once, and it turned out that the older torrent, by the time it was looked at, was essentially dead: no seeders and no leechers. So they deleted the ORIGINAL, which made my duplicate report "invalid" (according to the explanation I was given).

I don't follow the DNC at all! I'm a proud Republican voter - even if I wasn't willing to vote for DJT's re-election! (NOTE: I wasn't alone in that - look at precinct after precinct around the country... in most cases, lower-level Republican candidates OUTPOLLED the (thankfully former) President in 2020! Want to know why he lost the popular vote? Because he couldn't convince any but the most fanatic REPUBLICANS to vote for him!

I mostly report FACTS - more importantly, I point out when you report FAKE and FALSE claims (albeit, usually there is a nugget of truth [or, almost truth] in your post, but it's usually couched in misinformation or cast in an untruthful light)... For example: say a postman is bitten by a dog. You'll report that the postman was attacked by a rabid dog, that the owners were fascists, that the dog was beaten by the postman, and that Biden or AOC were to blame. While it's true the dog bit the postman, none of the rest of what you said was true, but you'll keep coming back to the point that the dog bit the postman as a way of "validating" your absurd post...

That's just you - and I call you out on it... regularly!

I should be careful here too, though... Trump tried to politicize the DOJ. He succeeded in some small ways, but the 2020 election shows just how LITTLE success he had in that effort.

He made inroads (damaging the credibility of the DOJ in the process), but he was NOT fully successful in re-making the DOJ as his own political hit-squad as he had hoped...

No, the DOJ was NOT politicized under Obama - you just thought they were because they didn't do your partisan bidding, and his term in office was the nascent beginnings of the "make up your own facts" era of politics (an era we're firmly entrenched in today!)

I like Mitch McConnell - I think he's been an exceptionally successful leader of the Senate.... but I cringed when he said, at Obama's inauguration in 2009, that his sole political agenda was to prevent Obama from gaining a 2nd term.

1. that's not why he was elected to office (to gain more power)
2. he failed - miserably - and Obama won his 2nd term - AND Dems gained seats in both the House AND Senate!
3. unwillingness to compromise is a weakness, not a strength... compromise is the whole BASIS of our form of government! Refusing to do so is un-American... even if he IS a great Senate leader...
4. putting party politics ABOVE the good of the country is just bad - I'm afraid he's going to be remembered poorly by history in the future.

In 233 years, no group of citizens has ever - NOT EVEN IN THE CIVIL WAR - attacked the US Congress!

43 former Presidents ceded their offices - without complaint or effort to overcome it - to their successors... until Donald Trump. Some of them ceded to new Presidents who DEFINITELY achieved the office by nefarious means (see election of 1876 for a REAL story of corruption and vote-buying!)...

Until sore-loser (but DEFINITELY a loser) Donald Trump came along... he'll go down in history as the President who put 3 conservative SCOTUS Justices in place - tilting the power in the court for decades to come, but little else GOOD will be remembered about the man.

Some VPNs to not permit the use of their networks for torrenting. You may be being blocked there...

It is also possible that Kaspersky is blocking you... I've had a lot of "false positives" from that suite over the years.

FWIW: I've found (personally) that Windows software in my home network isn't the greatest way to do torrenting.

Instead I do the following (NOTE: I'm a computer consultant who knows Linux inside and out, so there's that to consider!)

• I get a small virtual Linux host at linode.com. Cost: $5/mo
• I install the GUI front end, and tiger-vnc.
• I install firefox & qBitTorrent from RHEL and/or EPEL repos
• I keep almost all ports closed, save for the torrent port I choose (firewalld)... except to my home network, which I add to the firewall's trusted zone
• I browse my torrent sites from the virtual Linux & do all my file I/O there - with the ultra-fast internet connection it is afforded... When a download completes, I then use a remote tool (I use WinSCP) to copy the files to my home Windows system... I generally seed for about 2-weeks, and ever since I started using this method to d/l and seed my torrents, my share ratios have been exponentially better!

Problems? The only REAL problem I have is the limited storage... but I manage... and if I wanted MORE storage, I'd just have to pay for it!

OH! One more thing - once a month or so I use the linode console to change the IP address of my system...

I know it's hard for you to fathom, what with your authoritarian-biased views, but the structure of the American Government is - at its foundation - a separation of powers. No one branch of the Government - not the Exec (Presidency), not the Legislative (Congress), and not the Judicial - can do anything that anther branch cannot undo! There is NO absolute power in our Government - every potential action of any one branch can be overturned... and sometimes requires the approval of... another branch.

In this case, finding someone in contempt of congress is major shit - so the Legislature has to approve of it AND the Justice Department (part of the Executive branch)... and it's not at all uncommon for Congress (a purely political entity) to make a referral and for Justice (a legal, non-partisan entity... well, until Trump got ahold of it) to nix it...

YOU say that the Dept of Justice is politically motivated in failing to bring charges in certain cases... but they are cases against both conservative & liberal sides... I say the referrals themselves are politically motivated, and the Justice Dept is quashing their unsupported (legally) charges. Again, against both sides...

It's the same DOJ that called angry parents "terrorists".
