Say I posted a torrent here and it is posted as 'anonymous'. Any of my details that can be used, if any, are out there as soon as I post..

If it is posted as, say, cannonmc to pluck a name what more information is that providing. Apart from my probable GT username. How is anyone going to be able to use that to find me?

Knowing who posted gives an idea of what to expect and a chance to contact the uploader privately if you want.

My comment about contacting members was separate from torrent anonymity. Other sites have members' lists, this one doesn't.

uTorrent (or any other client) needs to check for the exact file or files (or copies) that the torrent was made from.

So for one file in a torrent you point uTorrent to that file.

If the torrent was made from a folder than you would need to have a folder for uTorrent to check.

In short, it doesn't matter where the files are as long as uTorrent can check them.

I am struggling here in the UK for TV. But then it is normally repeats in the summer anyway. We have a surfeit of sport just now with Wimbledon and Euro 2016.

I spotted that a new series Shades of Blue was heading our way until I realised I gave up on series 1 for being silly. I've tried a couple of US series which didn't cut it for me. The American West has been quite good.

I tried new UK murder series Agatha Raisin but felt empty at the end.

I have had to download some youtube stuff on really lean nights.

You can download freeleech torrents (one at a time) to gain upload credits. It won't alter your download amount.

Choose busy ones. That is, ones with lots of leechers who will want to download from you.

And once your seed bonus points reach 100 you can change that for 1GB upload credit.

Don't worry, you'll soon be back downloading. Just keep an eye on your ratio at first

I disagree with the torrent anonymity. It's frustrating there is no simple way to contact members. And I can't easily follow one member's posts across multiple forums.

But then I don't pay, so don't make the rules. Other sites do have a feeling of a community, this one does have a lot of porn.

Well hopefully everyone has their bonus PINTS and points.

And eastonkellan is quite correct, you can vote on your own uploads.

So make sure you have lest a vote by checking 'Show torrents not yet voted'.

Next tip. Check out your lists of torrents, uploaded, downloaded. See if any of them have leechers and if you still have the file, start seeding again. If you have got the torrent file, grab it again and start seeding as normal except you save it to the exact place where the file is.

I don't have access to your details but it does seem you are going the right way. How about stopping/pausing all downloads for a period and seeing what happens. Keep all or as many seeds going as you can. And dont worry most of the stuff will still be there

Number one is to leave any torrents you have downloaded seeding, even when you have completed.

See if there any freeleech torrents that you would like to download. Choose ones with plenty of leechers.

Add to your bonus points by voting on the torrents you have downloaded and join in the forums.

But the best way, find a file that no-one has uploaded and post it.

And be careful with your downloads until you have some upload credit

I have clicked on a few profiles recently and noticed a lot of them have no added points for Category vote. One member had downloaded (and uploaded) terabytes yet had not voted on anything.

After each complete download you will see on the original torrent page at the top an invitation to vote for a category.

You can choose between 1 and five categories for each torrent. Click OK and seconds later you get an extra 2 bonus points. It may not sound much but over time it can add useful points, especially if you are struggling with your ratio.
