NOPE, I'm just tired of you being a Chinese/DNC mouthpiece whore.

That the DNC and I agree that Trump lost the 2020 election is coincidental... millions of non-Democrat citizens agree... OVER 100 million

You are still your usual DNC douche bag self. Clearly, it's pathological.

Nice to see you eventually get around to actually talking about the topic.

Only an idiot would do buy something because someone on TV, YouTube or whatever told them to.

Dude... what do you want from me? Your Russian news story is factual - and I said so! Let's see, what did I say?

It's a corporate sleazeball move, and one that is actually illegal ...

What, you're butt-hurt because I pointed out that the guy REPORTING the news is Russian?

Or, maybe you're ass-ininely butt-hurt because I pointed out "You're With Bernie" on this one?

@raphjd said in Lie in Court or Be Fired! - Crazy Qualified Immunity Case:

      @bi4smooth

State and local level employees only have Qualified Immunity, while federal employees have Absolute Immunity.

Judges, at any level, also have Absolute Immunity.

In the UK, every government employee, regardless of the level of gov they work for, has Absolute Immunity. I forget the legal term they actually use, but due to the influence of the US, everyone commonly calls it Absolute Immunity.

The idea of some level of immunity for police & Government officials - in so far as, they shouldn't be held liable for an act they didn't KNOW was illegal - is fine. What's been lost is the common sense ... the litmus test should not be "is there case law," as that means it has to be an exact repeat of the earlier event.

Think: "No, this ISN'T the same as the George Floyd case, your honor - because I didn't use my KNEE to choke him to death, I used my ELBOW! No one has ever killed killed a suspect in custody with their elbow before, so I get IMMUNITY! I didn't know you couldn't kill them - WITH YOUR ELBOW! I thought it was just with your knee! My bad! Can I go back to work now? I want to see if killing suspects in custody with an ARTIFICIAL knee is illegal, too..."

      Youtube Video

      So I watched this video...

First, I'm not at all surprised you watch this guy: Roman Balmakov... hmmm... anyone else spot the Russian influence in there... if not, listen to him... there is a very subtle accent in his voice... I cannot pinpoint it to Russian, but... if it looks like shit, smells like shit, and tastes like shit, it's probably shit - so be careful not to step in it! (Thanks, Cheech & Chong!)

Now that doesn't mean the info is wrong - just that I question the "spin"

In the case of J&J pulling the "Texas 2-step" routine (that is: when a company has a liability lawsuit it thinks it'll lose, it creates a spin-off company and puts all the potential liability into that company, but DON'T provide that new company any (or enough) sources of income... so, in short order, that new company has to file for bankruptcy!)

It's a corporate sleazeball move, and one that is actually illegal - but it depends on what state the company is "registered" in (that is: where they are incorporated)... Regardless, it creates a new set of cases where the cancer victims now have to sue both J&J and the new company to get the spin-off voided by the courts. If nothing else, it's a time-waster on J&J's part! And it's a sleazeball move!

However, the tie-in at the end of the story to the FDA approval of the booster shots is just bullshit. The FDA isn't standing behind J&J in the talc/asbestos cases, but they DO want and need the vaccines... these aspects of J&J are unrelated.

I would like to add, though, that railing against "Big Pharma" sounds more like Bernie Sanders than Donald Trump!

(Aside: don't fall for the bullshit ad for buying Gold and Silver as a hedge against the "inevitable collapse of the US Dollar" - it's a scam, and you can TELL it's a scam because they're offering you "free cash"... bullshit!)

      @nietzsche58 said in Combine Categories:

@bi4smooth That doesn't address the question, it's about categories rather than search terms. Category searches seem to perform an OR match rather than an AND match (the latter makes more sense to the OP and myself). It would be nice if the term search gave a way to search for the categories using AND, OR, and NOT.

I see - you're referring to the "check boxes" in the Search page -- BEFORE you put in the search criteria...

I'm not sure how you would make that user-friendly... most of our users are not Computer Scientists familiar with the differences in the LOGICAL (not the English) AND, OR, NOT, and XOR...

I DO agree with you that it would be nice if the search bar itself had more advanced search features... like the ability to use a - to indicate that you should exclude a string...

So, for example: "OnlyFans -Reno" would search for OnlyFans, but exclude results that had Reno

Sadly, our search engine isn't that advanced - or if it is, I don't know how to use it properly... (The syntax above works in Google 🙂 )

Def Atty: Officer, you claim that my client shot the victim in your presence, is that your testimony?

      Officer: Yes

Def Atty: Officer, are you being coerced into offering this testimony falsely by a superior or political office-holder?

      Officer: No

Def Atty: Officer, if you WERE being coerced to provide this testimony, would you be allowed to admit to it in court?

      Officer: No

Def Atty: So, just to be clear: if I asked you whether you were being coerced into making this statement, and you were, you would have to answer no - just as if you were not, you would also have to answer no... is that a correct statement?

      Officer: Yes

Def Atty: Your honor, we move to strike the Officer's testimony on the grounds that it cannot be shown to be free of coercion or undue influence.

Prosecutor: Objection! Without the officer's sworn testimony, we have no case!

@hotmuscletwi said in Scared to come out to my conservative family:

What do you do when you have a very conservative family, who voted for Trump and thinks being gay is a sin???

Hey there. That's a tough position to be in... and there are no easy answers!

I would say this: start building a support system that is external to your "family of origin" - people who love you for who you are and will support that person - the authentic you - no matter what. People you can trust.

NOTE: You may already have that, or think you do, but before I jumped "all-in" on coming out to my family, I'd make sure my "support system" was ready if things turned out badly.

NEXT: one you are ready, you're going to have to make a call: it's either safe for you (physically and emotionally) to come out to your family, or it is not. NO ONE can answer the question: is it safe? for you, you're going to have to make that judgement yourself... but if you have siblings or extended family you trust, by all means reach out to them.

BUT, IGNORE "cookie cutter" advise from people who don't know you or your situation. For example: if your dad is an "Archie Bunker" the threshold of "being safe" is very different than if your dad is a "Tony Soprano."

I am 57 - I have had friends who have kept their secret from their families for their entire lifetime. Others have kept it from their parents while being out to siblings. One friend's family kept the secret from his mother until her death, but everyone else knew. There is no one answer for everyone. Every family is different.

What is universal is that it is hard keeping that part of your life (who you love) a secret. Hard, and sometimes painful. But sometimes the pain isn't all yours.

I went to a funeral for a friend who passed from a sudden heart attack. His family was FLOORED that so many "queers" showed up! We outnumbered the "traditional" family and friends by a 5-to-1 margin, maybe more! But the "family of origin" was crushed that there was so much of their son that he felt that he had to keep hidden. They accepted him - and his friends attending the funeral - with open arms. They were very gracious, but also very saddened to have "missed out" on so much of his life.

That said, I've also had friends pass where the "family of origin" specifically asked that "no fags attend please"...

It's truly a rainbow of fruity flavors of families out there... and no knows your family the way YOU know your family.

Be safe, and seek counseling if you think it might help. Most major metropolitan areas in the US have a "Crisis Center" that will have therapists trained in these kinds of things - usually for free, or an income-based fee scale.

      Be well...and good luck!

    • RE: Hi

      @latind4

Welcome to the forum... in my experience, you'll see the most message traffic in 2 areas:

      • People asking for porn - either "please upload this or that" or "who/what is this in this video, and where can I find more like it"
      • Politics

If you don't own fireproof undies, stay away from the politics - it gets heated (truth in advertising: I'm one of the flame-throwers in the politics section! LOL)

There ARE other messages from time to time - some guys even post pics of themselves! (YAY to those brave souls!)...

There's LOTS to explore... look around, and don't be afraid to start things up! For a while back a bit ago, there were a lot of "reply games" and "polls" ("what porn are you watching right now?" or "What are your favorite - top 3 - porn scenes, and why?"... but those have died down... (If you look around, you'll find them!)

It'd be great if you could start something NEW that overtook the politics and "please post more free porn" posts as the most popular! 🙂

Most of all: have fun, stay within the rules, and enjoy!

    • RE: Cable Co Threatens Past Customers to Get Them to Return

@raphjd said in Cable Co Threatens Past Customers to Get Them to Return:

      Youtube Video

Cable Company uses threats of destroying credit ratings unless former customers come back.

Sad - but the Cable & phone companies are bleeding cash these days: Their "cash cows" are the Cable-TV & wire-line phone services, and more and more people are signing up for "Internet Service" only. That's not nearly as profitable for either type of provider!

In most areas of the US, these are "regulated monopolies" that were created to provide a single service (phones or Cable TV), but the addition of the Internet - and the fact that both "infrastructures" can provide Internet service - has created a competition where there was none before.

Worse, telephone companies can now offer CATV over their high-speed lines (here, that technology is called FiOS - other areas have their own vendors with their own names for similar technologies), and cable companies can offer VoIP telephony over their high-speed cable services. So the competition is no longer just in the Internet space, they're both crashing head-long into each others' areas where they've had a "protected" status in the past. What's more: the phone service the cable companies offer doesn't have to meet the regulations written by the States (only the FCC), and the CATV services offered by the phone companies don't have to meet the regulations suffered by the CATV companies!

OUCH! Not only is there competition from another HUGE corporation, but they're given a competitive advantage over you because they're not the regulated monopoly in that space!

Back to this case though: Spectrum has clearly goofed. My guess is that their Corporate law/litigation arm is going to swoop in to "fix" this soon.

In the meantime, I agree with the Atty in the video: this is a nice offer if you happen to have a credit problem with Spectrum. But if you DON'T? Then this is very much a threatening letter!

In so far as theirs is a regulated monopoly, I'd complain to the state entity that regulates them! (In my case, that would be the State Treasurer.) Its been my experience that when you complain to the regulatory agency that oversees them, you get a reasonably high-level corporate response pretty quickly!

I liked the Atty in the YouTube video - I'm going to watch more of his videos... 🙂

      @bi4smooth

      LOL.

      You believe in jackbooted "freedoms".

You have repeatedly said you support mandates that force people to get medical treatments that you deem they must have.

That's bullshit, and you know it. I believe that companies and governments have a right to require people that work for them meet certain requirements - being vaccinated is a perfectly reasonable one.

But people have the right to say no! What they do NOT have is the right to say NO without consequences!

Look, what's happening in Chicago right now is a confirmation of how this works:

      • The mayor says all City Employees - including Police - must submit proof of vaccination by a certain date, or they'll be put on "leave without pay" status until they comply or are fired.
      • The Police Union says "we won't comply" - and as a result, about 1/3 of all Chicago Police may be off the job in the coming weeks (without paychecks - that's the price they'll have to pay for their "freedom" to say no)
      • The City, on the other hand is now looking at a critical shortage of Police Officers - not easy jobs to fill these days! And that's the price THEY have to pay for their "freedom" to require vaccinations of all employees.

One side or the other MAY decide the cost is too high, and relent... but both sides are within their rights and freedoms to act this way.

In your Russian homeland, this would never fly - this is utter chaos to someone as new to Democracy and Freedom as you (or at least your handlers) are... but this "chaos" is common in the Free World... But it'll work itself out...

      • The City could carve out a loophole for the recalcitrant cops
      • The City could start replacing the newest of the recalcitrant cops with new, vaccinated cops - and work their way up the ranks!
      • The Cops could relent and take the shots - but under protest.
      • The 2 sides may meet and come up with a more elegant solution.

What is NOT NEEDED is for someone - someone outside - to come in and attempt to force one side or the other to move... they each have their freedoms and their rights, and they're seeing the cost/price of exercising those right now - and it's up to them to make their own cost/benefit analysis and decide for themselves accordingly!

NOTE: Let's take this opportunity to make a distinction:

      • The City demanding that their employees get vaccinated is a RIGHT - they have the RIGHT to make reasonable demands - like that all Police Officers attend and pass the Police Academy curriculum.
      • The Police Officers who object also have a RIGHT to determine what goes into their bodies!
      • These RIGHTS can COEXIST! Where the City would be BEYOND their RIGHTS would be if they tried to JAIL the police officers who did not comply! That would deprive them of their FREEDOM, and that would therefore be a violation of the police officer's RIGHTS!
      • Neither side has the authority to say their rights supersede the others' - they are equally entitled to their positions.
      • This is NOT UNCOMMON in Free Societies...

Counter this, you are absolutely against mandates and laws that do silly things like creating gender-neutral toy aisles and the like.

Absolutely - but this is NOT an apples-to-apples comparison. There is no health crisis around gender-neutral toy aisles!

      Nazi: noun
historical: a member of the National Socialist German Workers' Party.
derogatory: a person with extreme racist or authoritarian views.
derogatory: a person who seeks to impose their views on others in a very autocratic or inflexible way.

The last 2 definitions clearly relate to you, based on your stance on the vaccine, masks, and whatnot.

Not surprisingly, Dear Uncle is clearly described under the last 2 definitions. Hell, even by his own words, he's a dictator.

You are a Troll Doll - a puppet of the Russian Troll Farms - anyone who disagrees with you - anyone who is against your position that the Government should enforce YOUR views, and no one else's - is a NAZI...

You're a pathetic excuse for a Republican... Even Trump doesn't go that far!

You only believe in the rights and freedoms of humans that you deem they should have while believing that businesses should have unlimited rights and freedoms.

The hyperbole here is in your use of the words only and unlimited... take that away and you get the statement that:

You believe in the rights and freedoms of humans that you deem they should have while believing that businesses should have rights and freedoms.

Add the word "too" to the end, and drop the unnecessary "that you deem they should have" and you have a statement I'll gladly sign on to:

I believe in the rights and freedoms of humans, while believing that businesses should have rights and freedoms, too!

As for your butt-sore-ness because I pointed our your Russian-based "outsider-looking-in" status, well, complain to Putin... he should re-station you in the US if your credibility is of a concern to him... OK, let's go with your site.

UAE is the country with the highest vaccination rate.

Your claim is that the 5% unvaccinated in that country, make up the extreme vast majority of the covid infections and deaths.

Now it's up to you to prove that.

ROFL - I prove your claims are false, so your retort is that I need to prove the opposite? You are rich - and delusional!

That said, the statistics are NOT HARD to find on the 'Net - if you'd used even a MODICUM of sense in looking at the data on the spoon being shoved into your face, you'd have looked it up yourself!

Critical Thinking should have told you that it would make no sense that the country with the highest vaccination rates would have a higher-than-average death rate... that doesn't mean it's not true, but it does mean that the fact that it didn't make sense should have triggered you to check the facts.

Of course, since you're just the finger puppet of the Russian Troll Farms, you didn't do that...

So here's the hard data - source: OurWorldInData

Bi-weekly death rates (per million people) - Oct 19, 2021:

      • USA 67.61
      • UK 25.23
      • UAE: 1.80
      • Israel: 18.89
      • Singapore: 19.67

      • Russia & former Soviet-block nations (Ukraine, Moldova, Romania, Serbia, Georgia, etc.)
      • Lithuania
      • Belize
      • Suriname

Lowest: (NOTE: 23 countries had NO COVID-19 related deaths reported in the past 2-weeks)... some of those may have simply not reported. So these are the lowest - of those actually reporting deaths:

      • Tanzania (near Australia): 0.02
      • Niger: 0.04
      • Democratic Republic of Congo: 0.05
      • Madagascar: 0.07
      • Taiwan: 0.08
      • Guinea: 0.15
      • Benin: 0.16
      • New Zealand: 0.21

Now, dipstick... call me names, if you will, but at least go back to your "trusted sources" and give them a message:
You gotta do better than this! Some Reagan-Republican guy in Florida is trashing your data within hours of my posting it! And he's not THAT smart!

NOTE: You lying cunt. Your comments about my citizenship were your pathetic attempt to discredit me based on nothing but bullshit.

You've proven that you know nothing about me - or my motives... so your whining that I commented on your dual citizenship to put you in your place (an outsider, looking in - even it you DO have a key to the place) is just more pathetic whining... You are discredited by your use / repetition of obviously false information!

Before you post this shite you should stop and read it yourself. Then ask yourself this simple question: does this actually may sense? When the answer is no, you shouldn't post it... period.

      @bi4smooth

So, do tell what Joy "I was hacked" Reid told you while the pair of you scissored.

ROFL - Cite why your crack-head conspiracy theory falls apart with just the slightest look for credibility, and you fall to pieces.

Its no surprise! You and your fellow Russians are such pussies... No wonder Hitler nearly got you! No wonder your precious USSR dissolved! No wonder you have the largest country in all of Asia, but your world influence is DWARFED by that of China & India! Even Japan - a country you defeated in WW-II now has more world influence than you do! Pathetic - the lot of you!
