You may have a pot forwarding issue with your network. You need to be sure that the port that your torrent client uses is forwarded through your home network (router) or VPN to your computer, both in TCP and UDP. This is a critical step, necessary for getting proper upload traffic.
Any time you use torrents, whether it's to upload a new torrent, or to download and seed an existing torrent, your IP address can be seen in the peers pool. Depending on where in the world you are, this can sometimes result in a copyright notice being sent to your provider, which can be handled in a number of ways. In order to avoid this, I recommend the use of a VPN such as Private VPN, which supports port forwarding, in order to hide your IP address.
As well, if you're uploading content from a site, you must also be careful, as many sites use a watermark so that when it is shared, they can tell which user account from their system originally shared the content, regardless of the site it is shared to. You always need to be careful about things like this when uploading a torrent.
For me the page never shows an accurate number.
For instance now it says I am downloading 3 and uploading 1.
The reality is I have 5 uploading (which ok it might mean four of them have 0 leechers), and I havent downloaded 3 torrents simultaneously in like forever.
It sounds like you have torrents for which you have not downloaded 100% of ALL the files. When this happens, even though your torrent client says "Seeding", the tracker will still only register you as leeching the torrent, and thus, counts it towards your maximum simultaneous downloads.

First, unless you download 100% of ALL of the files in a torrent, the tracker will still only register you as leeching the torrent.
Second, the stats in your profile only show the amount of data that has transferred for the current session. When you stop a torrent then restart it for any reason, the stats in your profile will reset to zero once you start seeding the torrent again.
I see you seeding 66 torrents now, but when I look a those torrents, there do not appear to be any leechers actively downloading them. I will go on a freeleech/promote spree with your torrents to try to fix that for you, as many of them do not have many seeders.
In the meantime, it would be worth figuring out what port number your torrent client is using in order to make sure that it is forwarded through your router to your computer, both in TCP and UDP. This too will greatly help with your ability to seed torrents.

It could be that your internet connection is near its capacity. When this happens, other network overhead traffic needed to establish connections may seem lagged or slow, due to the lack of available room for the overhead. EDIT: On second thought, this is because you're in a low ratio state.
