RE: Re-download Torrent I already Downloaded?
If you still have the contents of the torrent, you can always download the .torrent file for the torrent, without it affecting your ratio. Just make sure that the contents of the torrent are in the folder where your torrent client downloads into by default before adding it to your torrent client, and it should start seeding it instead of downloading it again.

RE: 404 Error logging in -
It seems our server needs some precussionary maintenance.
For those of you who don't know, precussionary maintenance is the technical term for smacking something until it works.

RE: Importance of VPN?
@my5butt I would be very careful with a free VPN. Not all VPN providers are the same, and if it's a free VPN, the chances of actually being protected in all instances in case of copyright trolls is not guaranteed.

RE: Am I allowed to use two clients at the same time for difference torrents?
@saymyname109 Yes... Two torrent clients on the same computer, or two computers with the same or different torrent clients on the same IP address is not a problem. The system will give you no issues with this.
The only time the system will give you an issue is if you use two accounts on the same device/IP.

RE: Account suspended
Thanks for admitting that you have several different accounts, and that your sole purpose is to cause trouble. Are there any other accounts that you would like banned for violating the rules and continually insulting staff?

RE: Account suspended
Allow me to give you a quick reminder that insulting or flaming of staff is not something we tolerate. If you disagree with a decision that has been made, that's fine, but you MUST express your disagreement in a civilized manner.
Second, the torrent that you are referring to @Surmelin is not the torrent that was in question. It was a torrent older than 7 days old, which cannot be modified by anyone other than staff.
On that note, if you see a torrent that you feel goes against the site rules for some reason, the appropriate response to have it handled is to open the torrent information page, then click the "Report" button and state your reason for why you feel that the torrent does not follow the rules. Doing this will NOT result in any punitive action being taken against you, as you have not done anything wrong. Going ahead and posting racist hate speech filled crap on a torrent on the other hand is a surefire way to land you in hot water.
Remember…. Your first amendment rights only protect you from GOVERNMENT action being taken against you. They do not however protect you from spewing racist hate speech in a PRIVATE forum such as this.
So as I said... If you disagree with something that has been said or done, that's fine.... Just make sure that when you respond to staff with your disagreement and your point of view, that you do so in a civilized and respectful manner. Telling staff to "go buy a brain" is not exactly a civilized manner of handling things. Furthermore, responding to staff by being downright rude and resorting to name calling isn't going to get you very far. I am more than willing to engage in a civilized conversation about a topic, where it may even be possible to change my mind on something... But the bottom line is that insulting staff and/or flaming them is not going to get you anywhere other than the banned user's list.

RE: Account suspended
How about you tell the whole story? I translated the German text and it did NOT say what you claim it said.
Instead of being polite and asking questions, you chose to flame me, so I extended your warning from 1 day to 3 days….
When you continued to flame me again, your account was banned for flaming staff.
Nice try though... I just love when the psychos of our site try to play the victim.
Perhaps next time, you should try not to flame the staff.

RE: Excessive Post per minute ?
This is a bit of a grey area. While we normally advise to only upload one torrent at a time in order to get things out as quickly as possible, there are exceptions for some users who sport a really fast internet connection. The key is that as longa s you can get each torrent out in a reasonable amount of time, we allow for higher numbers of uploads. This, of course, is supposing that the user has a fast enough upload speed to support it.
From what I can see, it seems that this user was able to get these torrents out in a rather short amount of time, so in this case, I would not say it's against the rules, as all the torrents are seeded to completion quickly.

RE: Error 404 Message
Something is wrong on the server end. I have alerted our system admin to the issue, but we do not know how long it will take to get a resolution.

RE: Error Code 521
HTTP 512 is an error specific to Cloudflare.
Translated from technical terms to plain English, it means that when the Cloudflare Proxy tried to connect to the web site, the web server has rejected the connection for some reason.
I would suggest a VPN if this is the case, as you may need to route around this issue.

RE: Disabled account
FWIW: It also depends on why the user's account was disabled, but that's something I cannot get into as I cannot divulge user information.
For example, if the user deleted their account themselves, it is sometimes possible to request to re-activate the account. If the user was banned for violating the rules on the other hand, then re-opening simply isn't possible.

RE: Uploader Stops Seeding Before Anyone Can Download.
I have sent a PM to the uploader asking them to resume the upload. Normally, this is something you can bring to our attention with the report button, for future reference.

RE: Are no-fee VPNs any good?
When it comes to VPN service, you get what you pay for. I strongly recommend using a paid VPN for a few reasons. Just make sure that you do your homework on your VPN before signing up, as not all VPN's are created equal.

RE: What is a Padding File?
Padding files are created by BitComet. They are used as fillers to ensure that no two files will fall under the same piece of the torrent. They are added "padding" to separate the files in such a way that you don't have the end of one file and the beginning of another file taking up the same piece of the torrent. As a general rule, we frown upon these files as they only serve to add space to the torrent, which isn't necessary to the downloading of the torrent.

RE: Wishlist doesn't work
FWIW: I have heard reports that trying the wishlist in the new torrent search mode doesn't yield all the results. To access it, follow the same steps, but go to the "Search (old)" option and it should show all the results, unless the torrents have been removed from the tracker.

RE: I can't upload my torrent. Gives error because of suspended download rights
This commonly happens when you are attempting to download the contents of the torrent, rather than SEED the contents of the torrent. To get around this, we recommend that you do the following:
-
Remove the torrent from your torrent client
-
Copy or move the contents of the torrent to the folder that your torrent client downloads into by default
-
Download the .torrent file from the site
-
Open the .torrent file in your torrent client.
If you have done the above correctly, your torrent client should hash check the content, then start seeding it. If you miss step 2, you will end up with the very problem you are having.
You can find additional information in the Upload Guide.

RE: Trouble uploading a torrent
It may be possible that the torrent is already uploaded, however is sitting in the hidden mods category for some reason. Either way, this error message means that the EXACT torrent you are trying to upload already exits in the system somewhere, and there's not much you can do.
