I'm a Brit, so I don't have a side when it comes to US politics. All I can see is someone who, admittedly I have no love for, is being held to account for their actions just like every free citizen should be. What gets to me is this constant drivel being spouted by his fans who think that every other suspected criminal should be dealt with before anyone even glances sideways at Trump. It's like having the "Leave Britney alone!!!" video on repeat.

If you believe that Biden should be investigated then fine. I freely admit that I don't know know all the ins and outs of it. Just don't try to convince me that just because Biden isn't in cuffs in a witness box Trump deserves a free pass, because that's insane. Yes, politics are obviously going to play a role in how things progress, just like they always have done and probably always will.

Now then, genuine question coming up. No baiting. No agenda. Just want an honest answer and discussion...

If it is proven in a court of law that the Trump family misrepresented their financial position and did in fact commit fraud, what would you like to see happen?

Congratulations on citing an article in the belief that it 100% supports your argument, but not bothering to even read the whole paragraph your provided. Are you ever going to accept that whatever law you think supports not just this but any argument is not universal? You keep doing this, finding one lawyer who weakly backs up your assertions, forgetting that the law they might refer to doesn't apply anywhere else. It cannot be applied globally. Quoting something from a law firm in Detroit does not mean that anyone in the UK, Egypt, China, India or anywhere else gives a damn about it because it doesn't matter to any of them. The issue of obscenity is the other problem. You haven't defined it. If you've tried in the past then it almost certainly didn't pass the same test I just brought up. I think you have a basic misunderstanding of the difference between "the law" and beliefs and values.

I have a question. Have you ever downloaded pirated films, music, books, software or anything else? Please don't try to be clever and lie because nobody will believe you. Do you not think your statement above should apply to those sources too? After all, you're not going try and argue that those things aren't covered by DMCA, are you?

I would like to finish by saying that in the case of this post I'm strangely proud of you. Unlike many of your more controversial posts you have at least returned to try to engage with responses rather than simply stride into the room and leave a steaming turd on the floor before walking out and watching from the window while everyone loudly complains about how much it stinks. So yeah, points for that.

The simple fact is that you can't get your head around the issue. According to you copyright isn't an issue at all, yet you can't stop banging on about it. I'm pretty sure you said in the past that you've had content removed for DMCA, so this all sounds like bitterness. Just get the fuck over it and move on with your damn life.

What exactly are you hoping to achieve with all the posts on this topic? Do you expect the site owners to say "Oh, well Lollicopters said we're ok, so I guess we can ignore everything else." I've got a better idea. They should just respond to all DMCA takedown notices by providing your contact details and let you deal with it. Job done, and it might give the rest of us a bit of peace and quiet!

@raphjd I am not a liberal or conservative. I am an individual asking a valid question, but your response is loaded to the gunnels with accusatory language. I have always tried to see things from every side, and often play devil's advocate, but it's impossible to do that with someone who has put you in a box and refuses to open the lid. However, if wanting to hear about relevant, connected evidence before blindly accepting your version of things makes me a liberal then I guess I must be one.

All you've done in your original post is taken a tragedy, added your own bias and turned it into an attack by comparing it to as yet unrelated events.

I don't know how you think this comment helps your case. You've always made a big thing of "gay" porn specifically not being able to be copyrighted to to being definitively "obscene." Now you're saying that even though a straight studio has brought cases against people those too have never made it to court. Interestingly, here is a quote form the law site you linked to, though in the interest of full disclosure for all the members like me who are NOT IN AMERICA AND NOT SUBJECT TO US LAW this article only consider the US legal system. I've highlighted the most relevant portions:

As a result, copyright law protects pornography because content-based restrictions on copyright eligibility could abridge the freedom of speech of the First Amendment. California, 413 U.S. 15, 93 S.Ct. 2607, 37 L.Ed.2d 419 (1973), the United States Supreme Court found that the First Amendment’s freedom of speech does not apply to obscenity. Specifically, under Miller, obscenity is found when the average person, using contemporary community standards, would find that a work appeals to the prurient interests, depicts or describes, in a patently offensive way, sexual conduct specifically defined by the applicable state law, and lacks serious literary, artistic, political, or scientific value. This brings us back to the question of what is obscenity. Applying the above test, does the average person find depictions of gay sex offensive? Blah blah blah... There are a lot of conditions in that definition of obscenity, and they'd all need to be shown to apply for any specific piece of gay porn to be considered obscene. Now consider that all of this only applies in the US, and every other country has it's own laws and definitions.

Honestly, do you ever actually take a minute to read anything you write before you press the submit button? The site isn't breaking the law because it complies with DMCA. If it was to ignore DMCA entirely then you might just get your wish and have the whole thing put to the test in a court of law somewhere, but thankfully the powers that be aren't dimwitted buffoons who are going put the whole site at risk to satisfy your need to feel validated.

Here's an idea, why don't you go and take this up with Joker and see if you can convince him. After all, you could be preaching to the choir on the forums but that isn't going to change anything. I'm sure he will welcome the opportunity to partake of your informed and inarguable wisdom. He's not an easy person to reach though. What you need to do is contact helpdesk with this code-phrase: "Please delete my account." and they'll put you in touch. It's not a trick, I swear!

I use the report button when I see some of these. Yes, it's a pic, but it's an utterly worthless pic, so doesn't comply with the site rules.

@raphjd Thanks for the input. I think what I'm really asking here is whether or not the specific type of thing I described is worth reporting en-masse. Like I said, I don't want to deprive users of content, but it does seem to have become a free-for-all where people can upload any number of random videos in a blatant attempt to get upload credit. Similarly, I don't want to become the guy who fills the report inbox to the point where the mods all think "Oh no, another petty report from that tit!" It's just that whenever I've taken a punt on downloads like these there is absolutely nothing to tie any of them together.
