I have a Windows 10/64 machine that I use for torrenting. I had an OS crash, now fixed, but somehow my uTorrent 3.5.5 got spontaneously deleted--likely along with the folder of active torrents that I had running.

I'd like to install uTorrent 3.5.5 from scratch: There's no uTorrent 3.6 on my machine that it will replace. There have been several posts on here in the last year describing the evils of 3.6 and wisely urging people to install 3.5.5 over it, and uncheck the auto-new-version option. But, the link that is often given for getting 3.5.5 is https://utorrent.en.uptodown.com/windows/download/106960498 . That downloads a file called utorrent-3-5-5-build-46348.exe, which sounds good...but when I run that executable, I get the following screen:

I've added that arrow. It looks like this will install 3.6, which is a mess.

Does anyone have a link that will really download 3.5.5 or earlier? Please don't suggest that I use the link above that doesn't work.

@raphjd There's something odd about his left thigh and his right arm. (Do we call this "differently appendaged.") If one crops the photo about half way down, it looks a lot better.

If I were paranoid, I might think that my enjoyment of their performances led them to behaviour that was ultimately destructive....but they made their own choices. I'll also add that every scene I've watched with Kristian Brooks was with a condom.

@canadiandude-0 Canada here too, although also spend lots of time south of the border and in the UK.

Torrents have to be at least a week old before they can be freeleeched. The best way to use a freeleeched torrent to help your ratio is to grab one that has been recently freeleeched, so that it has many leechers on it, and thus you'll be able to upload data to them. There's no way to index or search this, but if you look at the search results for freeleeched torrents, you'll see several that have lots of leechers.

Right now, https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=7d8de732adfc29543f627acd8bc2072fc4f53fea3c1a9601 has 62 leechers, and https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=c97e0d229d6333e43f627acd8bc2072f90816d64284b6ed3 has 132. If you selectively download even 5% of those torrents' files, you'll get a huge upload of material from them.

but my upload volume to those other two sites is always much higher.

How does this come about? Because of the high volume I get on those other sites, I have yooge ratios on those sites.and I usually download the entire torrent (i.e., all files). Here, with a slower upload, I tend to be selective and download only a few files from a give torrent. When someone does that, they're a magnet for other leechers and end end up sending that subset of the total material to the many other leechers. Note that the one at the bottom of the list, with an amazing ratio of 255, is one where I only downloaded 1.2% of the total content.

I'm pretty sure that my settings are OK: A week ago or so I raised this question and a moderator freeleeched several large torrents that I had uploaded. It created an online feeding frenzy that maxed out my upload bandwidth for three days. I think the small upload volume I get on this site is because of my choice of material to share and its perhaps limited appeal to other members. To each their own, of course, but they don't know what they're missing

Very astute observation! I would love to know the back story here, which is likely edited out from the final. It's not unusual for a condom to break, but that's at the tip. It would seem that in the bareback scene the condom would have to have been consciously removed (or the guy went soft and it slipped off), which would have been noticed by the director and/or camera people.

I wonder if AAB--and perhaps other studios--that only release "safe" scenes would allow their models to fuck bare before and/or during the scene, and just not have that on the released video. I have a couple of friends who used to be in "the industry," but with bare-only studios. I'll still ask.

@john32123666 : Thanks for the response. I gather the graphics you posted are from your own client. The only difference I see is that you have two boxes enabling DHT ticked, whereas I don't. I thought I saw some posts on here that DHT was a "bad thing," but I can easily change this.

@MrMazda : I see that several of my older "nobody's leeching" torrents have been freeleeched (I wonder who did that? ) and my client & modem are now maxed out seeding them. (Several are now fully seeded with a dozen or more other seeders, so I've paused those in order to put maximum bandwidth on a few of the very large torrents.)

So it seems that my settings and such are OK, and it was simply a matter of having no leechers on many of my torrents. There's some older stuff that I've kept live because I think it's of value and I wanted it to be available to people. I'm not concerned about ratio (I'm doing OK with that); I just wanted to be a good sharer.

My nephew visited recently, and offered to "tune up" my uTorrent client by tweaking some of the preferences. Everything still works, but it seems that I'm not uploading as much as I used to, and I wonder if maybe something went wrong. Here's are a couple of preference screens that he fiddled with:

Do these settings look right? I consider myself computer-literate, but the subtleties of torrent software often escape me. If it matters, the internet connection at this house seems pretty good, 500 Mb/sec down, 25 Mb/sec up.

I think there are two topics going on here: (1) I think the OP was asking about thumbnail files that would be part of of the torrent itself, and (2) others were addressing thumbnail files that would be part of the description on the torrent page.

Both approaches are useful, depending on the circumstances: If the torrent has only a few videos (four or less, maybe), then having thumbnail files posted as part of the torrent page is a good idea, along with some large single photos.

For torrents with a lot of video files, I like to see a separate folder of thumbnails in the torrent itself; then I can download only the thumbs and then decide which video files to download.

Whether a thumbnail file is part of the torrent page or downloadable from the torrent, advice from members above should be heeded:

• Set the thumbnail generator to make each thumb a good size--150 pixels high at a minimum.

• Don't have the video sampled too often--once every two minutes will give a sense of what's going on.

I agree that performing this operation on infants (which is inherently without their consent) is wrong. While the term "mutilation" is technically applicable, I think we need to be affirming of circumcised men even if we disagree with the circumcision itself. Both of my partners were circumcised, and that did not make them lesser as people. They--and whoever they were with--still had very satisfying sexual experiences.

I support efforts to end infant circumcision, but I don't want circumcised guys to have a "foresken dysmorphia" and feel that they are lesser as a result. What's done is done, and they can still have a great sex life.

I know this topic comes up frequently, but the technology horizon moves quickly and there might be things out there now that didn't exist a few months ago. The purpose of this post is to get input/comments from other users on VPN's they use/used to use, and what they like/didn't like.

Here are the things I think I'd like in a VPN:

• Anonymity on torrent sites

• Anonymity in searching the dark web. (Note: I do not currently access the dark web, but I'm curious.)

• Not too much of a hit on upload/download speed. Both of my homes have fast (5700Mb down, 30 Mb up) so losing a bit of that won't hurt.

• Reasonable price--doesn't have to be dirt cheap, but shouldn't be exorbitant.

• Ability to toggle off. I might not fully understand this, but if I'm using a VPN in Germany, shopping for cars on Ford.com will recognise my location and redirect me to the Ford.de site. If I can easily shut off the VPN, I'll be back to the Canadian or US site, depending on where I am.

FYI, I'll be using this primarily from Canada (Alberta) and the US (California), although I travel all over the world.

I've had a few torrents taken down for DMCA reasons, but I always get a polite note from the mods saying what's happened and that my identify is safe. After a while, I realised what studios were on this warpath, and I've avoided uploading from them since. I do grab their material if someone else posts it

@mwesb1978-0 There's another application called "Auto Movie Thumbnailer" ( https://funk.eu/amt/ ) that lets you put a whole folder of many videos and then in makes a folder with .jpg thumbnails for each video. This can be really handy if you have a lot of videos in the torrent and want to give a thumbnail image for each one. (I wish more users did this.)

Thanks for your desire to have these thumbnails, regardless of what software you end up using. I know other users will appreciate your efforts.

I've used this process myself for a hundred or more uploads.

Note that the "Trackers" window will show http://gaytor.rent:------- to reflect the new site domain.

Be sure to follow all of @john32123666's other recommendations, like unchecking "start seeding" which seems to be a default. Leaving that one checked can cause issues.

@tnar I think we have to distinguish two cases:

• Somebody uploads a new torrent, and somebody else "jumps on" this torrent, depriving the uploader of some upload credit. This is impolite. I think the is the situation that the OP is referring to.

• The torrent is old, and bears the "recycle" logo. If there's only one person seeding it, they're probably not the original seeder. In that case, "jumping on" helps the user community by getting the material out faster.
