Easy ways to get your ratio up???

Don't download too much too soon. It'll still be there when you have a ratio buffer
Leave your torrent client running even when you have completed your download
Choose torrents with fewer seeders but lots of leechers
Check out the freeleech torrents where you can download for free but anything you upload gives you a credit

And for getting seed bonus points to swap for upload gigs:
use the Affiliate button at top to get your friends to sign up using your link (good one 250 points a time)
Add screenshots or cover photos to existing torrents (only a bonus point at a time but they can add up)
Vote in the category for torrents you have downloaded

And the ultimate way is to Post Your Own Torrent - this is an all round winner.

First you get upload credit for the fact of posting
Then you might get gift points from people who download
Then you can claim 600 points as a first time poster.

All you need to do is find something that hasn't already been posted.

Most (and maybe all) download will be ignored but people may be caught by the 30 minute interval between 'announces' and end of freeleech

Only slightly off-topic. If you start downloading a new freeleech and it says this will take years, hang on for a while. A couple I started like that had loads of people sharing within a few minutes and I completed well within the freeleech period

I am a little confused now.

Say, for instance, I start downloading a 200MB freeleech torrent. At the end of the freeleech period I have managed to download 190MB of the file but I carry on to complete the download.

Would my download show for that file as 200MB or 10MB? Those worried about their ratio (wish they didn't have to be) might not want to start a download if they were going to be whacked with the full download if they missed the freeleech time limit.

And is there any way to extend the freeleech periods. I made one torrent a freeleech but the download was so slow a lot of people were not able to complete within the 24 hours. I was happy to spend more points but couldn't find a way of doing it.

Hi sirshootalot, you don't give a lot of information but first place to start would be to hit the CTRL+0 keys - that's CTRL and zero key together. Just in case you have altered the size by mistake. Or you could try the opposite and, while holding down CTRL, use your mouse wheel to increase the size in search.

You don't say if it has changed on other sites.
