So I have to post about this - because, contrary to your proposition that if the races were reversed, that the media would have covered it more, I can tell you that this happens far too often - regardless of the races involved, and the media coverage is poor regardless.
... and it NEVER gets the attention that it deserves! And I am sometimes literally brought to tears to hear the stories of some of these poor children... 
You see.... I am an adoptive parent (I adopted 7 - yes, you read that right, SEVEN) children from foster care... and as a result, I served for nearly 20 years on the board of our local foster parents association. I actually have known "offenders" - and their victims - before this kind of tragic event occurred. It never ceases to break my heart to hear just how badly these adults have failed the little children ... these adults weren't coerced or forced to adopt - they volunteered! and then to fail these kids so badly!
There is a new circle of hell for these people... end even that isn't bad enough!
But to the point of your note: these stories are always buried. As a society, we don't like to be reminded of how poorly we treat our "indigent" children.
I used to run/host a 6-line BBS system for LGBTQ (just "gays and lesbians" back then!) on the Space Coast of Florida.
The best part of it was that I didn't have to download the images - they were right there on my system!
I had some problems with it when I had a BF though - he would login and do things (read other people's messages, approve memberships, etc) without my knowledge. He let a couple of kids join (I always required ID - he was more interested that they were cute!), and that nearly got me shutdown!
The BBS (I named it Space Coast MOTSS after the UseNet group MOTSS - for Members Of The Same Sex) long outlived my relationship with my ex (he was actually my first ever boyfriend!)... but I closed it down when I moved to the west coast of Florida ca. 1992.
Six modems back in the day (14.4kbps - v.32bis!)!
We were one of only 2 in the area that had multiple lines, so you might - might - actually be able to chat live with someone!

The term "bi-polar" is not only used in mental disorders. It refers to any instance where there is little-to-no middle ground between two opposites.
In a mental disease, it means you're UP or you're DOWN but you're nearly never in-between.... It's a terrible condition. I know people who suffer from it.
But in this case, I'm using the term to say that you don't have to look at people (or their records) as either all-good, or all-bad. Donald Trump demeaned and lessened the office of the Presidency in the US - but that doesn't mean he didn't also do good things, too! Betsy DeVos wasn't all bad - and even after doing a brief search, I have no idea what you mean by "restoring due process"...
But back to the point: If you're going to pre-judge Dr. Levine and her appointment because she's trans-gender, well, get in fuckin' line! If you think you'll be the first to make that mistake, you're the latest winner of the "Miss Taken" idiocy pageant! And you won't be the last, either! (Your sash is in the mail... the US mail, so be patient! LOL)
Your attitude amplifies the importance that her appointment has: she will suffer the "slings and arrows" of narrow-minded bigots - and I suspect begrudgingly so - so that future trans people do not.

There appears to be an increasing number of members seeking trades. In rare cases, they both upload to our site.
More often, they seek to message privately and trade off-site, which leaves two people with the porn they want, and the rest of the community here with,,, nothing.
I would simply encourage everyone to follow the best path -- share and seed.
