This is just DUMB spin - The FBI didn't remove anything from the report about the guy's political beliefs, nor the role that played in choosing his target - what the report's finding states is simply that it was his intention to die at the hands of the police by doing this... it was (by their finding) a suicide, and he wanted to take some Republicans out with him!
That finding doesn't change (or cover up) the political nature of the crime - which, counter to the implication in the reporting, has never been removed or redacted from the report... but it does make it less of a "terrorist" threat (from an organization that needs to be followed up on) and more the actions of one deranged, suicidal individual (which doesn't require ongoing investigation).

As I understand things, there are different staff members for different operational areas of the site.... with site operations being separate from torrent "moderation" being separate from forum "moderation" (this is what I have gathered from being on this site since the stone ages - like 2008 I think!)... I would be surprised if there weren't OTHER areas of the site I'm missing.
But if past experience is any measure, moderators (staff) DO NOT read every post in the forum! What's more, if a forum moderator read your complaint, who's to say s/he would know anything about what you're talking about?
Also, and I'll get off my high horse after this comment: what's to say YOU are due an explanation? Are your subscription fees ($0.00) any higher than anyone else's?

My ex-fiance had a tad over 9.5 (took that baby at least once a week for over 4-years!) - but he wasn't the biggest... That was a guy I met while I was in Richmond back in 2000... I met him at church LOL! I didn't measure it, but I'd guess it was close to 11 - but it was nice and thin (for its length) - so it wasn't TOO uncomfortable...

They could, theoretically, sure in US courts for DAMAGES, but they would have to prove such. But there is no US Court (not even the US Supreme Court) that has jurisdiction over internet domain names.
I had a client who was sent a similar "demand" letter because their domain started with "it4" and the "demander" owned the domain it4.com... we told them "tough titties... US courts have no jurisdiction, and unless you can show actual harm, you got nothing... but we also offered to SELL them the domain name for $250,000 - which was declined.

It discouraging to try to keep a good ratio if the tracker only logs a small percentage of the data. The only way to keep a good ratio nowadays is to upload which promotes reposts and lazy collection torrents.
My own tracker (qBittorrent) reports how much data is uploaded - and I am on a VPN (NordVPN, to be exact)... and I've noted as well that my ratios are way off as reported on the site vs. my tracker.
Specifically - over time, my own client reports that I've uploaded about 2.5x the amount I've downloaded.... but I've been stuck - FOR YEARS - on this tracker at about a 0.83 ratio.
Mind you, after being here for years, I've downloaded 23TB of data, and uploaded only about 19.5TB... (I almost rounded that to 20TB, but then i thought about it: that's 500GB of data I'm rounding! That's a LOT of data!)
My point is this: At 20TB of data (plus or minus), I've been making this work - even over a VPN and even using Linux (vs. Windows) clients - for a long time... be patient, and work within the rules.

First of all, I'm not demanding anything. I'm not complaining about "the volume of content being uploaded by users". I'm very aware that this is illegal sharing and so are you and guess what, we are both still here. Actually, we are both still here since 2008. I've been contributing with a lot of content here and helping users with their requests since then without expectations.
As I said, if users were choosing to upload fewer files I wouldn't be complaining at all. This is not what this is about and we both know it, so don't try to make it sound like I'm complaining because there aren't 'enough' torrents being posted.
I'm just saying that me, as well as other users, would LIKE TO KNOW why every single file is being deleted, that's all. I was very polite both times I messaged the admins. The only one being agressive and with an attitude for no reason here is you. There's just no need for that.
Anyway, I won't message you anymore. This is not why I created this thread. I'm only going to say that in MY opinion I think it would be fair for the admins to let us know why this is happening. Specially to avoid waste of time to download and upload files that are ALL gonna be removed in a few hours. This is MY opinion. My apologies if I "went off" on you - but it annoys me when people complain about things they're getting for free. If you honestly want the content that isn't here, pay for it! It's the "sense of entitlement" that riles me - and that comes from my job... sorry if it rubbed off here.
What I was trying to make clear is that the STAFF here aren't taking down videos because they don't like them, or the uploaders, or anything else - with the exception of uploaded content that is barred (like duplicates, and illegal stuff [pedo, snuff, etc. - read the rules yourself])... in fact, you likely can't see it, but there are categories for straight porn here, as well as (nasty to me) scat!
@raphjd - a site administrator - confirmed above that the suspicions aired here from the start were correct... the removals are because of DMCA takedown requests.
An argument could be made that, "hey, we know we're "stealing" content here, why not ignore the DMCA requests?" - But the site advertises that copyright holders can request, and they will comply, with valid DMCA takedown requests! They own the site, they make the rules!
Also, as has been pointed out already as well: while the current "fad" seems to be targeting the OF content, they are far from the only content pulled. I have uploaded probablty 2-3 TB of Helix and NextDoor content (my collections there are nearly complete), and another 4-5TB of Sean Cody and Corbin Fisher content (my collections there ARE complete) - and because I post in "collections", they usually get DMCA'd after a month or 2...
But, I get a notice in my mailbox that the content was removed for a DMCA complaint. Also, there's no penalty on here for losing an upload due to a DMCA complaint.
If you are an uploader of OF content and your posts are disappearing -- WITHOUT a note from the staff as to WHY it's gone, -- open a helpdesk ticket! 100% of my uploads that have been taken down in the past have been explained to me why they were removed.
IMHO, the ONLY people due an explanation for removed content are the uploaders themselves. (And in my experience, the staff has always done that for me.)

Thus, this was still conjecture - albeit a "wishful thinking" one - and therefore, not a lie
On Nov 15, 2020 Donald Trump said (Tweeted) that Biden "only won in the eyes of the FAKE NEWS MEDIA". This is a little harder to evaluate for a "lie". Clearly, Trump would have known the entirety of media - including Fox News - had reported his loss. Still, the choice of language like "the only" qualifies this as more hyperbole combined with continued wishful thinking. Again, at least in my opinion, not a lie (maybe self-delusional, but not (yet) a lie!)
On Dec 15, 2020 Donald Trump said (again, via Twitter) that he won the election. However, by this time all 50 states and DC had certified their election results. Even though the final Electoral College vote would not occur for 3 weeks hence, this statement - in the face of the certified results clearly falls into the lie category. It would be different (again, choice of words matters!) had he tweeted that he should have won, or that he would overturn the results - but the statement - after the certification of all of the results that he had, in fact, won was not hyperbole or even wishful thinking. It was a lie
Every explicit claim of victory thereafter... has been a lie.
The question of the election being "stolen" is another matter. Trump can believe (regardless of his inability to convince anyone else in authority) that nefarious forces colluded against him and that he was the "rightful" (if not "legal") winner... that is not the same as saying he WAS the winner... delusional or not, that's just saying he should have been the winner, and I think some 70M supporters agree that they wish he had won, but that's not the same as saying that he DID win - which is a lie.
