Yeah, it's cringe, and they did it to themselves. It's kind of an evolution of what has always happened to guys who think they're going to have an easy, no effort life when their first plan doesn't work out. They've learned how things really work, and they probably will get away mostly untarnished in the long run.

I have seen no evidence of this when it comes to porn and DMCA. There are ample examples of judgements for infringing porn copyrights. Googling Corbin Fisher is an easy way to find several of them. There are also other studios/producers who have sued and won.

If it says "please vote" (as this screenshot shows) that implies you downloaded it before but didn't vote on categories.

You can also "thank" people for posts. You'll stay in that list as long as the torrent is in the database, I think.

Sure.
Had it occurred to you that the site owners have heard all of the arguments over the years the site has been up, and maybe that's one of the reasons discussing those policies is not allowed?
I think this is a situation where there is no ideal answer. So we have rules the site owners think are best for the site.
