Are you experiencing the same problem on Firefox or other browsers? You've probably already checked this as well, to see if the issue is exclusive to Chrome.

I only have ideas, because I'm not experiencing that issue on Recurbate, and I often use Chrome too. The download link appears for me, and IDM (Internet Download Manager) runs flawlessly for me, allowing me to download any of the videos.

This is to say: I don't think the problem is with the site.

I suspect your culprit may be security software that is installed on your machine, or perhaps you have a browser extension installed on Chrome that's screwing things up for you. Maybe start by clearing your cache, disabling your extensions, and ensuring that Chrome is up to date, to see if that helps.

But I think you can safely take problems with the website itself off the table. At least, that has been my personal experience. I am no technician.

If you're on a Windows computer, you should try Internet Download Manager (IDM). I've been a registered user for nearly 20 years, and never have trouble downloading any video I want from any website, whether there's a "DOWNLOAD" button on the page or not.

Regarding Recurbate specifically, I just downloaded a video from there about 20 minutes ago - using IDM. I don't work for the company, but I can tell you IDM is well worth the purchase price for registration if you like downloading videos from various sites, like me. They even have a 30-day free trial.

I don't know what the Apple equivalent would be for IDM, but I'm sure they must have some sort of comparable download manager available out there somewhere.

Me too, that site was awesome!

And the video quality couldn't be beat compared to conventional screen grab applications I was using before I discovered Recurbate (...like Camtasia). Not to mention how on Chaturbate, you might be sitting there for 3 hours and the model barely moves - even when you're tipping. On Recurbate, you could tell by the screenshots whether or not the model was actually doing anything interesting before downloading it. I even purchased a one month subscription to Recurbate back in the spring which worked for about 3 months before it eventually expired (...at no additional charge - though, I'm sure that was a fluke). I downloaded so much content from that site that I ran out of hard drive space and had to start deleting files, lol.

I was addicted!

The thing I loved most about Recurbate was that you could review the thumbnails of all the performers and get a sense of which models made an effort to put on a good show and which models were just a waste of tokens.

I'll definitely miss Recurbate. It had become one of my "go-to" websites on a regular basis.

I can often be hyper-sensetive to micro-aggressions, but I never got that impression from the owner/cameraman of TheGuySite.

It always seemed to me like he was just being very clear and concise with his directions to the models, to get the shots he was looking for, and I assumed that the parts we heard him speak on camera came after what I presumed would have been friendlier banter between the men off camera.

Then aside from that, anything I've read from some of the people who actually knew him all said he was really low-key, mellow, and soft-spoken. But, who knows? I suspect jealousy probably played a major part in his murder. And of course, money often seems to be involved somehow.

For some reason, this dropped from the news once this clearer pic of the homophobic stabber came out.

I wonder why that could be.

If it's not a coincidence, perhaps law enforcement are following up on leads since the picture was posted and they don't want to put out any further information that could tip-off any potential suspects or otherwise compromise their investigation. Or perhaps the news simply has nothing more to report until the suspect has been apprehended.

While the encouragement is appreciated, my dreams of operating a gay porn website were mostly the aspirations of a much younger man. I assume the models would want to be paid for their work, and with how the consumption of porn has evolved over the years, I don't see how there's any money to be made by a producer through traditional websites as we have known them.

It was a hot idea though, for a time.

This reminds me of what happened to the owner of the RudeJam website in 2009 that featured Jamaican men and their large cocks, presumedly murdered by one of his models, but the killer was never caught.

At one time, I considered starting a website of my own featuring handsome muscular men of all varieties. I decided against it when I noticed how often media from most gay sites winds up on torrent sites before owners can even see much of a return on their productions. That, and the whole getting murdered by your models thing.
