Can you answer my question, posted earlier in this thread, about the show new replies to your posts and show unread posts from your last visit links?

It must be some sort of glitch.

Are you not getting NEW next to threads with new posts?

The new flag works reliably, but the link "read new replies to your posts" often omits threads with new content

I am sure we could find gorier photos for both sides if we looked. There is clearly violence on both sides in Germany.  But I am uninterested in discussing German politics.  I know very little about it and don't care to educate myself. Let's get back to American politics.

I am not here to defend word liberalism or leftism.  I know nothing about it.  It was the OP that brought the Hamburg riots as support for the whole liberal violence is on the rise.  I also never said the Berkely and Stanford incidents were the only examples of liberal violence, they are the ones that you harp on, even when OT.

I can think of no greater violation of the rules than to edit a quote from a moonbat, and have it attributed to ME.

      PPPUCCI has done this.
He edited a quote from Sutieday, and made it look as if it is a quote from ME.  Uh, no!

I already apologized and corrected the mistake in the original thread.  I posted that apology as soon as I became aware of the mistake, which was a total of 25 minutes after you started this unnecessary topic.  Any legitimate concern could have been discreetly reported to the moderator.

A forum board is not a telephone conversation or even a text conversation.  Though you may see me viewing the board, I obviously may be viewing other posts. You need to give the other person time to reply.

You may have thought that I  attacked you or your buddies publicly in my "Let's Get Back to Basics" thread, but I sought a public forum not to discuss rules violations, but to criticize the general direction and style of discussion on the board.  There is no "Report to moderator" button for that.
The only time I have used that button on you was to report your bastardization of my username from pppucci to pppussi.

Since you want to talk about Germany:
"There were 142 recorded criminal complaints filed after right-wing incidents targeting Germany's main political party offices or their politicians in 2016, more than ever before. That's according to figures collated by the German government"
      http://www.dw.com/en/more-right-wing-attacks-on-german-politicians-than-ever/a-37491252

"MUNICH ― An election night celebration in Munich for the anti-immigrant Alternative for Germany party turned violent last week as right-wing extremists attacked protesters and journalists outside the event." …. " here were 1,408 acts of far-right violence and 1,608 far-left attacks in Germany in 2015, up from around 990 and 995 respectively the previous year, according to a government report released in late June"
      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/afd-right-wing-popularity-germany_us_57d31694e4b06a74c9f4b4c7

Seems about even to me.  But I would much prefer to talk about American politics.  I don't think you can leftist violence in Germany to advance a thesis of increasing leftist violence in the USA.

so, in answer to your question…I am not convinced.

According to Snopes. CNN arranged the protesters behind their reporter to provide a backdrop for the piece, but the protesters were already in the area.  So I guess it was staged, but not fake.

I said I didn't agree with Lemon or Sanders on this point.  You want me to condemn the entire network because of it?
They were clearly discussing the news, not reporting it.  There were other panelists offering different views.  What more do you want?  Censorship?

I never said the media was faultless.  They are liberal-biased, mostly in the stories they choose to highlight.  But of what they cover, they are accurate.  When they are not, they issue a correction.

That is more I can say of the internet and internet sites.  How can you be so willing to accept something as true just because it does not originate in the mainstream media?

I am not going to explain it away. CNN made a mistake and corrected it.  If the edited video had appeared on youtube, would it ever have ben corrected?  See what I mean by reporting standards?  You love when the media makes mistakes, but never give them credit when they issue a retraction.  The mistake justifies your claim of biased "fake news."

    • RE: Rooting out voting fraud has its effect..

I can't speak for other liberals, but personally, my grandparents were immigrants.  They came legally, of course.  But a lot of the backlash against illegals in not based in the law, but in a form of nationalism that promotes WASPs as the only true Americans.  I also think we all resent Trump's unfounded claim that he lost the popular vite because of illegals.

AFIK, you are wrong about not having to prove you are legally able to vote:  The motor-voter law in California works like this:
"When people go to the DMV to obtain or renew a driver's license, or to get a state identification card, they’ll be asked for the usual information in such transactions, such as their name, date of birth and address. They’ll also be asked to affirm their eligibility to vote and will be given the choice of opting out of registering at that time. Information about anyone who does not decline registration will be electronically transmitted from the DMV to the secretary of state’s office, where citizenship will be verified and names will be added to the voter rolls. "

      http://www.latimes.com/politics/la-me-pol-ca-motor-voter-law-20151016-html-htmlstory.html
The responsibility of verifying citizenship lies with the Secretary of State, not with the individual voter.  Secretaries of Sates from around the country have said that there is now widespread voting by non-citizens

We have a problem then. The internet does not have reporting or accuracy standards.  Video can be edited, and like with any other medium, stories can be selectively covered. You cannot reliably depend on a balancing or opposing view being presented by another party.  Of course, there is inherent "click selection.," where you preferably watch or read what appeals to you and your world view.
I actually think you are more prone to bias by relying on the internet than by seeking a range of outlets in MSM.

I know you say that snopes isn't as good as before, but is this the CNN Fake incident you were referring to:

I was referring to this in Manchester
      http://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/vigil-manchester-muslims-st-anns-13086343
As for the Chicago kidnapping, listen to the lemon-Symone Sanders clip agai.  Lemon says it wasn't evil, but the result of bas upbringing.  Symmone roundly comdemned the attack, but questioned wheter it was motivated by hate of Trump or Hate of Whites./ . I don't agree with either of them, but I don't see it as anidictment of CNN or the media.

As for the anti-Nazi chants, if they never punched anybody, it still is technically a peaceful protest.  Have they used anti-Nazi rhetoric on a website, or in fundraising or published it?

Liberals like to whine about posts, yet not a single liberal reported a post that clearly violated the rules by a person who jumped in to the thread solely to flame me.

Where are the 40 reported posts I'd get if the same thing was done to a liberal?

I don't know which post you are talking about but why would someone report a post about the moderator to the moderator?

Because your an idiot.. that keeps badgering the moderator, and trying to cause problems.  You also continue to flood the forum with your off-topic spam.

While this message of mine is also off-topic, I just got done posting a lengthy, illuminating, repudiation of the topic at hand  in this thread.

It appears someone is back to their ad hominem logic again.

Oh, and I believe the rule popping into a post just to flame was just broken, no? Oh moderator!

Yeah.. you just broke that rule.. again.. and in the same comment complained about it.  You are less than worthless.  Is that ad hominem enough for you?

      CORRECTION;
Sorry, I thought that was adam, not sutieday. I hate quoting within quotes multiple times, and got confused with all the deletions. Sorry.  I will include all the quotes here for clarity.

My original response holds true however, with one minor change

Sorry, Fred, No rules broken on either side.  Ad hominem attacks are lame, but not forbidden.  You, by definition, cannot "pop in" to a topic you have created are already participating in.  You just have proven your own childishness by returning an inappropriate ad hominem attack with one of your own.
You both have shown how responses get out of hand and away from the OP.

    • RE: Rooting out voting fraud has its effect..

      @Frederick:

In the 2016 primaries and election.. there were people afraid to vote because they were things like illegal aliens, etc.  They had no legal right to vote, but they could easily do it due to corrupt policies of local governments, especially in California.   Obama even made a video assuring illegal aliens that they could safely cast their illegal votes and get away with it.

      Youtube Video

Well, now many voters are withdrawing their voter registrations to avoid being tracked down.   It will be interesting to see how this affects voting in the future.  Imagine that.. commit a crime by casting a fraudulent vote and get in trouble for it?  HORRORS (if you are a democrat moonbat).
      http://www.msn.com/en-us/news/politics/hundreds-of-voters-un-register-after-trump-voter-fraud-panel-demands-info/ar-BBE0dZa?ocid=spartanntp

Here we go with the fact checking again.  Obama never said that illegals could vote, nor did he encourage them to do so.  He said, "when you vote, you are a citizen, and voting rolls are confidential and not shared with INS.  Therefore, if you have undocumented FAMILY, you don't have to worry about them being deported."  Fox news edited out everything after the first first sentence to score some political points..
As for your second point about de-registering . from the headline of the article you cite:

Hundreds of voters un-register after Trump voter fraud panel demands info
Hundreds.  Probably not scared that they registered illegally, but that Trump will send Grandma back to Mexico.

Remember all people born in the US are citizens and are eligible to vote, even if their parents are here illegally.  But I bet that they re not happy that their names and addresses are being shared with the Feds, especially if they live with their parents.

How about this fact guys?  The Women's march on Jan 2017 attracted over 2 million protesters nationwide.  On that day, there no arrests.  With all of those violent liberals in one place in various cities, don't you think there would be at least one?
Strangeloop, when you watched a million videos on the internet, call me and we'll talk.

STW, the Florida man was protesting Trump's inauguration in Washington.  I saw nothing to associate him with antifa except his black garb.  There is a video of him, however. carrying a kid to safety and roadside medics after the kid was pepper-sprayed by police. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aZMcq9_uFLk

    • RE: Moonbat madness.. they forget who is part of the administration

      @Frederick:

In their latest desperate attempt to find someway to attack Trump, they are now focusing on his family again.  In this case - Donald Trump Jr.

There is a huge problem with that…  Donald Trump, his daughter Ivanka - and her husband Jared Kushner all have roles in the government.
However, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. have NO role in the government in any capacity.  They are busy running Trump's financial empire.

So, when the moonbats keep speculating about Donald Trump Jr. talking to some Russian.. so what?  By the way, Russia is not an enemy of the USA.  The USSR and Communism officially dissolved in 1991.. 26 years ago!   It's not a crime to talk to Russians.
Guess who is a member of the G20?  RUSSIA!

Now go dream up some other conspiracy you moonbats.

Only one problem, Fred, The meeting in question with the Kremlin Lawyer occured in June of 2016 when Don Jr. was part of his father's campaign.  Oopsie!  You really should try clicking on those links before you go shooting off your mouth.  They are provided for a reason.

    • RE: Donald Trump Jr caught in a lie

      @Verrax:

Agreed, it may be years before the investigation uncovers (potentially) anything.  If Trump is so confident that there was no meddling on behalf of the Russians then why does he not just sit back and let the investigation vindicate him? The fact that he keeps either trying to discredit claims or halt the investigation through various means lends itself to suggest that he or his campaign members may have done something that they shouldn't, even if they thought it was fine at the time.

An even better strategy would be to instruct his the members of his campaign and White House to fully cooperate with the investigation, saying that he wants this matter resolved and move on with his agenda. He would look innocent and presidential.  Sometimes I think that he wants the issue to fester, since he can claim to be the victim and distract everyone from exactly how little he has been able to accomplish.

I can only speak to the video I saw.  The crowd pulled the angry man off the reporter,  helped him to his feet and offered to help him find his camera.  The initial troublemaker tried to get into it again, and was again restrained by the crowd.  Were your feelings hurt because the reporter was called a Nazi, therefore justifying this (or any similar incident) as evidence for a massive problem with liberal violence?

This is from ABC news, so correct me if I'm wrong:
"More than 100,000 protesters are expected in Hamburg for the summit, which include about 8,000 people considered part of Europe's violent left-wing scene, AP reported."  That's less than 8% of the protesters.  You still want to maintain its a massive problem with leftist violence when they represent even such a small faction in a large group of protesters?

There is certainly more evidence backing that up than 3 million illegal votes.

Which is why liberals are terrified to allow the investigation.   :crazy2:

We've litigated this before.  I will make a prediction . the commission will find no evidence of massive voter fraud, but will impose onerous new regulations, designed to suppress the vote, "to ensure the integrity of our elections in the future."  It will mention nothing about attempted cyber intrusion and recommend nothing to prevent it.

Any prejudgement based solely on race is racist.  Your refusal to acknowledge the peaceful actions of some Muslims is racist.  Any time you take the actions of a minority and project it onto the majority and therefore prejudge them all–is that is based on color, creed or sexual orientation, that is wrong, no matter who does it.

Was the Muslim prayer vigil in Manchester attended by 20,000 manufactured by the media?

Your indictment of the "liberal media" coverage of the Chicago kidnapping is based on the commentary of a single person, Symone Sanders on CNN.

Have you heard any prominent liberals defending the Bike-lock professor, baseball shooter, or encourage other acts of violence?
