    • RE: Oklahoma Dems Win at State Level – Tea Leaf Readers?

You know I pride myself in being the fact-checker of this board, So I have to make a few things clear after reading the article you cited.
First if you notice the headline "Democrats Are a Little Too Excited About Those Oklahoma Special Election Wins
They won seats vacated by two Republicans accused of alleged sex crimes and impropriety, for starters.  Apparently they won against lackluster Republicans, not against the scandal-plagues two, who hd actually resigned their seats.
Second, although you hint at it, Shortey was charged with solicitation of a minor (his pup was 17).

I do agree with the general gist of the article. This probably does not mean Oklahoma is turning purple or the Democratic party i on the resurge nationally.  It also shows that sexual misconduct crosses party lines.

      @Frederick:

I only gave 2 examples that I found within 5 minutes.  There is a lot more.

Do any of those examples involve hacks of political opponents?  Do any of those examples involve infiltrating the voter rolls of a foreign country?  Do any of those examples involve social media bots strategically deployed in swing states?

If you can cite anything similar, educate me.  Otherwise, you are just trying to deflect, and not very artfully.

      @mhorndisk:

HAHAHAHA And yet another day goes on that what I said is True, and what you said is a falsehood. What the hell do you think you have going for you? You have lost. What I said will be a daily recognition for you. This is two days, same thing, I'm right, you're wrong. Get over it. It's gonna happen for eight years. I'm just telling you… Starting a few days ago, you have no idea how long this is going to go on for... So far I'm going on 72 hours and you are going on 0. Let's see how far it can go, bro...

We all lost when Donal Trump Jr, said "I love it!" Yesterday, it was revealed another person, a nRussian naturalized citizen of the US suspected of Russian counterintelligence, was at that meeting.  I don't know what you mean by zero.  Yes Trump is still in office. But I will bet he does not complete this term, much less be re-elected.  But by your own standard, you cannot claim victory until 2024.

    • RE: The Russian Lawyer

There was a similar statement by a spokesman for Loretta Lynch.  The lawyer's special are of interest was near and dear to Putin's heart, but no one has proven she actually worked for Putin.  She probably did not. Typical Russian intelligence strategy is to use a relatively "clean" cutout for the first meeting to ensure plausible deniability if things go awry. She is the least important part of this story.  She has been elevated by conservative media in an effort to distract and confuse a very harmful piece of news for the current administration

I just can't do this anymore. I think all moderates as well as conservatives should just retreat into your bunkers and wait with your weapons pointed at these "people." They are clearly just waiting to destroy humankind as robot-actors of the communista. They are trying to kill us all. All these guys. They don't seem to want a sovereign nation. They just want this zombie state run by nonsense.

GOD DAMN. SHUT THE FUCK UP. I SHOULD TOTALLY SUE YOU FOR YOUR FRAUDULENT STATEMENT HERE.

IF I HAD A GREEN DOT THAT SAID "WARNED" UNDER MY USERNAME I WOULD WATCH MY LANGUAGE.

Sue him for what? Criticizing the President?  We do not live in Russia.
Sue him for "lying"? If that were allowed, you and the President would never be out of court.
Recheck the connection between your brains and your fingers..  If you can only contribute by calling the posters liars, hen resist the temptation and move onto the next topic.

You're butt hurt because Trump thought they should be executed before they were exonerated, after they confessed?

There was no death penalty in New York when Trump argued for it.  That's enough for me to get "butt hurt."

Oh, so a private citizen can't call for a state to get/use death penalty?

I see another case of liberals hating free speech.

Trump is free to say anything he likes.  I am too. I m also entitled to my feelings.Liberals do not hate free speech.  Criticizing something is not equivalent to banning it.

LOL, Homeland Security getting chatty with Buzzfeed, of all people.   They are worse than CNN.

What about the rest of the her activities while she was here?

Why the about face of the State Department over her visa?

I'm gonna assume here, but as a white male (my assumption) Buzzfeed hates you.

When you can't attack the information, attack the messenger.  It was a quote from DHS.  I'm sure you can find it somewhere else.
Her other activities while here?  She attended a congressional hearing (did not testify at one) and went to a lunch attended by a congressman.  Even if she were a known spy, there is often little the State Department can do to dent a visa. That is why foreign embassies here are filled with spies. She essentially was a lobbyist seeking the repeal of the Magnetsky Act/ . Personally, I think too much is being made of her role.  The meeting was initiated by Anin.  I think this first approach was to see if Donnie would play ball.  Much to the Kremlin's delight, He jump up and down and shouted "Put me in the Game, Pleeeease!"

      @raphjd:

      You have no clue.

Liberals constantly screamed that anyone who didn't vote for Obama only did so because he's black; aka YOU'RE A FUCKING RACIST.

Didn't like Hillary meant you hate women.

I may not have a clue, but you only hear what you want.  Maybe Google was not indexing articles well in 2008, but I can't even find a conservative rag that makes your accusation. In fact, a lot more was written about Blacks voting for him simply because he was black. If there were people who refused to vote for him because he was black, liberals would be the last people on earth they would listen to.  The Same goes for Hillary and women.  Much was made about the women who supported Trump, even after the Access Hollywood tape.

      RoyalCrown89

Well, at least my point was proven; the president is indefensible and no one has defended him for wanting five innocent men executed before and after they were exonerated.

      Read the bit I bolded.

Now go back and read my previous comment again.

Wanting self confessed criminals to be punished is normal, for normal people.

Although criminals who confess are rarely executed unless they have very bad lawyers.  Case in point is the Bucks County man who confessed to four murders this week as long as the death penalty was taken off the table.  Only blatant disregard for the criminal justice system can explain advocating for the death penalty for those whose convictions have been vacated by the court.

    • RE: The Russian Lawyer

Ok.  Now I can debunk it:
      http://www.thedailybeast.com/dhs-debunks-trump-claim-that-loretta-lynch-let-russian-lawyer-into-us

Between September of 2015 and February of 2016, "DHS paroled Natalia Veselnitskaya into the U.S. in concurrence with the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Southern District of New York, allowing her to participate in a client’s legal proceedings."

In June 2016, "In June 2016, she was issued a B1/B2 nonimmigrant visa by the U.S. Department of State.”

No one has accused her of espionage.  At worst, they suggest when was representing the Kremlin's interests at the meeting. Are you suggesting she was part of a Democratic plot to discredit Don. Jr?  If that were true, why go through ll of that trouble and never publicize it?  By all accounts, even the FBI did not know about the meeting until very recently.

    • RE: A Very Important Announcement

Trump's calling card was his lack of qualifications.  He was supposed to drain the swamp and bring a refreshing air of honesty and openness to the presidency.  Look where that has gotten us in just six months.
You imply that rave and gender were the only qualifications help by Obama and Hillary. Even if the argument was made, I doubt anyone on the left successfully bullied anyone into voting for Obama under the treat of being called a racist. Similarly,  Similarly, I highly doubt anyone voted for Hillary for fear of being called out by the feminists.

I think you posted the wrong link.  Tucker never mentioned the lawyer–or was that the point. He argued we should work with Russia no matter what they did in the 2016 elections.  The title of the video is
"TUCKER TAKES ON SMARMY RHODE ISLAND BOTTOM FEEDER . 7 / 13 / 2017" . who is actually a Rhode Island congressman.

Yes, a lot of people got it wrong. Feeling threatened again, Fred.  What makes you feel the need to relive election night?
While you chew on that, consider this:  Richard Nixon won the 1972 election in the biggest landslide in American History. He won the electoral college votes of 49 out of 50 states.  Less than 2 years later, he resigned.

    • RE: Proven election meddling!!!

Interesting how you start this thread instead of replying to you previous one asking how Russia meddled in 2016.
Hillary Clinton making a public statement about free and open elections in Russia as Secretary of State is hardly meddling,  Bill Clinton's political advice to Yeltsin is perhaps more questionable, but unless you can allege or better yet prove, a massive CIA covert operation in either case, you are comparing apples to oranges.

    • RE: This Explains Trump's "Loyalty" to Michael Flynn

You can try to dismiss it, but at the very, very least it exposes the Trumps and their circle as a bunch of liars. Their defense in 6 weeks has gone from "no obstruction, no collusion, Comey is a leaker" to "Any one would have taken that meeting, and anyway, collusion is not illegal." They can no longer claim it was a hoax to make excuses for an "election that they should have won."  While Trump still insists on calling it the "biggest witch hunt in history,"  it clearly is not.
You can try to tell yourself that this meeting is the sum-total of what may have gone on, but remember it was in June.  There are 5 months of possible misdeeds to investigate.  It is a very big deal.
Your Monty Python analogy is off. Trump's critics have not been incapacitated. In fact, with each passing day he or someone close to him puts another weapon in our hands.  Like Richard Nixon said, "I gave them the sword and they rammed it through me."
If you close your eyes and click your heels three time, saying "It can't be true, It cant be true, It can't be true."  when you open them you will realize you have been duped by the biggest con-man in America today.

    • This Explains Trump's "Loyalty" to Michael Flynn

Many people wondered in January and February why Trump was so uncharacteristically loyal to Micael Flynn.  They did not have a long-tern relationship and Trump is always quick to jettison people who are no longer useful to him.  Now we know Trump was not trying to let Flynn off easy, but trying to protect his son and perhaps himself.  Who knows what Flynn could reveal to harm either of them?
It is incredible how just one little fact (Donnie's meeting) can throw so many other fuzzy facts into clear focus.

We are fighting a loosing battle. People who talk like this in an online forum are venting in a way that would be socially unacceptable in real life. They get ot off their chest by doing it here. I think we need to pick our battles in this regard.
