@Rotron
No real comparison but a certain similarity made me chuckle. I was surprised that the person cuddling up to Nathan is Tyler Wu looking much much tinier than I ever thought.
I haven't watched any of My Day. I had noted that it is quite popular. Clearly I need to prioritise my viewing. An episode of Three-Body 6 nights a week is keeping me pretty busy. I am quite pleased we have reached episode 26 of 30!

Being wicked, but of course, it seems to me there is quite a resemblance between Aki Torres and Nathan Luna, ???

RE: What movie have you recently watched or recommend?
@Rotron
I still haven't fully recovered from the ending of Vicenzo when Song Joong Ki gives Ok Taec Yeon his just deserts - that was very extreme. We don't expect Mafia consigliere to hold back? All the deaths he orchestrated in Vicenzo were more than a little extreme. -

Remember (2022)
Nam Joo-hyuk idol pics are a real inducement to watch. The trailer for Remember is on imdb and suggests it should be fun from reckless driving a Porsche and no holding back on either the reckless or the violence.

Thai BL romances have not shied away from the two main leads having a sexual relationship from the start with love following later. Fahlanruk, Big Dragon and Between Us are examples. Producers are obviously not entirely comfortable with this as the NC scenes in these are very awkward. The usual theme before has been the slow awakening of desire for another person of the same sex (often expressed as being for that one person only). Irrepressible passion requires more emotion in the encounters so the scenes are better. -

Sorry not to reply before as to Reborn Rich. As much as I adore Song Joong Ki, with his ever so cute wry grin, as an actor this show doesn't really have any sort of gay element. Vicenzo had a minor subplot (sadly a little homophobic) but RR none at all.
RR is available on most well known torrent sites - and will probably download faster too! -

@blablarg18
Sudden Adult Death Syndrome has been an acknowledged but not properly understood syndrome for a long time. I can remember people dying like this since I was at school and that was an age ago. People just falling down and dying there and then, often drawing particular attention when it happened to young athletic prospects who seemed fit and healthy. -

Death and taxes is all we can be certain about. Though some of us can hope that those obliging men in white coats will take us away before we let our tiny minds worry ourselves to death about things of which we have no knowledge.. -

As I recall three important things have been widely reported. First, the scientists involved (in different laboratories) started working on the vaccine within days of the genome being sequenced by the Chinese authorities in Feb/March of 2020. Second, it was recognised early that if all parties worked closely together then the entire testing process (with widespread testing on volunteers encouraged) could be greatly shortened. Thirdly, it was recognised that many lives would be lost by waiting for the outcome of long term studies. it was just hoped that enough work would have been done in the early stages to avoid long term effects. This last seemingly has turned out to be fortunately true - although it is too early even now to be sure. -
RE: Who are they & What is the scene
@pupkinvasya
Yup, that's him. Tim Law is his Staxus name. Don't think he has made anything new for a while now. Could be NextDoor, It doesn't look like a typical Staxus scene. -
RE: Who are they & What is the scene
@thsdck
Looks somewhat like Tim Law on the left but not a very good image of the face. The tattoo looks familiar but can't place it. No idea who the guy on the right is (so probably guy on the left is not Tim Law as i think I would recognise most of his 'partners'). -

RE: Apart from taking HIV medications, what's your most important piece of advice?
@blablarg18
Its complicated - of course. HIV virus constantly mutates and for this reason in certain parts of the world particular strains have developed.
Also the virus constantly mutates in your body but does so less when there is less of it in your body and it is hiding away in those places in your body where your immune system and meds find it hard to reach. So it is important to take your meds to keep the virus at the lowest level.
If you don't take your meds the virus will quickly multiply and will do so exponentially. In the early stages when you aren't taking meds it will replicate slowly and at a certain will suddenly take off. If you were constantly checking your body for the amount of virus before taking meds again you would have to do so daily - impractical at any level. If you miss the take-off point the amount of the virus in your body will soar before your meds have time to get it back to safe levels again.
As you should be aware, your Clinic Dr will do a DNA test on the virus in your body when you are first detected and before changing your meds to ensure that the prescribed meds are effective against the evolved virus in your body.
There is little evidence that the virus as it has evolved has got any less dangerous. Remember also it is not the virus that kills you. What kills you is the opportunistic infections caused from a deficient immune system. Your immune system takes a long time to recover from the effects of HIV infection much much longer than it takes for meds to deplete the amount of HIV virus in your system. Once depleted your immune system may fully recover but it may never fully recover and in some hardly ever recovers. -
RE: Apart from taking HIV medications, what's your most important piece of advice?
@frostycab
YES - taking daily meds can be tougher than many think. You know you are going to have to take them for the rest of your life and, especially if you otherwise young and healthy, this can be a depressing reality that can just add to other realities in your life at the wrong point. You just have to hang in there and (if like me and most others) you stop taking your meds then, don't be afraid/ashamed to admit this to your Drs.
My consultant has told me that he and his staff have been trained not to be judgmental. It is recognised that taking meds long term can be harder than many like to think but that the most difficult thing can be that if you get off this particular wagon is getting back on. So they won't be judgmental rather they will be relieved/happy to help you get back on.
There are no magic cures. Sot the other thing you must do is surprisingly simple - and very hard to actually do - which is get on with your life. Being positive is truly the only way yo have of moving forward. Being honest to yourself and who you really are is difficult but also a crucial part of this.
PM - if you want to. -
RE: Apart from taking HIV medications, what's your most important piece of advice?
@dhougie
Important advice is to hang in there and not get obsessed.
There are times when taking your meds seems to be life limiting in itself so don't ignore that feeling. Discuss it with your Drs. Your mental health and stress levels are really important to your long term physical health.
Exercise to keep your body healthy is very important but you must keep it gentle, don't become a body builder or marathon runner (Sprint Triathlon at the max). Rowing is the best all round exercise - it gives a full body workout but doesn't overly stress any one part of your body.What do I know? 26 years (during most of which everyone regarded me as dying) of living with AIDS, a low CD4 count - c100 and never been above 120.

RE: My ratio is 0.801 but I do not seem to be able to download?
@john32123666
Apologies please read "the range you quoted" for "the range you". -
RE: My ratio is 0.801 but I do not seem to be able to download?
@john32123666
Ok Thank you. I have done a websearch as suggested and it seems the range you is for bitorrent - qbittorrent has no specific requirement but 'preferably 49160 to 65534'. No information as to why 'preferably'.
My router is recognising the ports I am using t with PnP enabled. However, a week or so ago I manually set the ports up and there does seem to be some (marginal but may be imaginary) improvement. -
RE: My ratio is 0.801 but I do not seem to be able to download?
@john32123666
In your recent post you say that one should use a port in "range from 6881 to 6889 ... [10000-] should be remove 65535 is OK ...". I don't get how you get how port 65535 to be in range 6881 - 6889 by adding or removing 10,000. Maybe it is not so important that I understand this.However. what is important for me is whether GTRU needs the port to be in the range 6881-6889? I am not aware of why else these needs to be so. I am not pretending to be any sort of expert, just asking. I noted a previous post where it was said that the GTRU tracker is very sensitive as to ports.

Hoping the photography is as good in the next season, that was what made a dull story magical.
