Those huge upload complaints are so typical, usually the user is using a VPN or proxy that inflates the numbers reported by the torrent client, most of the times the amount of data that was actually sent to other users is nowhere near that number.

RE: Seed Requests
@jonmasters once the reseed button is pressed, everyone who has downloaded the torrent at any point will be messaged, even if they are already seeding that torrent. the problem could be simply that neither you or the person trying to download are able to connect to one another. this is a very common occurrence in torrenting, sadly.
the vast majority of users depend that their client can initiate a connection, because they're unable to receive incoming connections. for this to occur, the other party needs to be reachable. when all peers are behind this limitation, that is, when all peers can only initiate a request but not receive, they are unreachable.
torrents with very few seeders are susceptible to being in this limbo where the person who has the files can never reach the person trying to download.
making torrents freeleech usually helps overcome this because, with lots of people trying to download, the more likely it is that the seeder will be able to reach someone. and in this case, this someone becomes a "hub" that is simultaneously downloading and uploading to the other users who cannot connect to the original seeder.
i'll stop here cause its too long already, but if you're curious about what causes peers to be unreachable or solutions to circumvent this, feel free to ask.

RE: HELP SEARCHING PLEASE?!?
@Jbky111-0 said in HELP SEARCHING PLEASE?!?:
May you point me to where this info comes from Ian?
I don't think it's ever been documented, how the search works in this site... All I am passing to you is what I have learned by experimenting. So far, from everything I have tried, we have operators like AND, OR, NOT, LITERAL and ROOT:
ABC DEF
equals toABC AND DEF
All results containing both keywords.(ABC)(DEF)
equals toABC OR DEF
All results containing at least one keyword.ABC -DEF
equals toABC !DEF
All results containing ABC, omitting all ABC results that also contains DEF."ABC DEF"
equals to="ABC DEF"
All results containing the exact phrase.ABC*
equals to~ABC
All results containing the root ABC.There don't seem to be a way to perform wildcard search.
Every site has their own search algorithm, we must learn and adapt to extract the best of each. Have in mind that here search is boolean, it checks a database and outputs what meets the search criteria. It doesn't understand the meaning of the word or the intent of the query.
And lastly, the old in "search (old)" refers to the page layout. The search algorithm is the same in both pages.

RE: Seeding doens't count towards "uploaded"
@niko94 I get the idea with downloading torrents that just became freelech, it's clever indeed.
Regarding the inaccurate reported stats, the VPN (or proxy) is likely contributing to the issue. Whether you're using a VPN app or a SOCKS5 proxy, it can indeed affect how the tracker and peers connect to you. Two key factors that could be causing the discrepancy are:
Loopback and Internal Routing
Sometimes, local traffic is mistakenly handled as external traffic. For example, the connection between your torrent client and the proxy/VPN server might occur locally within your device or VPN network but be treated as if itโs happening over the internet. This can lead to your client reporting inaccurate upload/download values, potentially inflating the stats. If your VPN has a built-in traffic monitor, itโs worth checking to see if it reports similar values for incoming/outgoing connections compared to your torrent client.Overloaded VPN Server
If the VPN server is overloaded, it can lead to higher rates of packet loss and peer disconnections. You might send data to the VPN server, but it could fail to reach the peers due to network congestion or server overload. This could result in your torrent client believing it has successfully uploaded data, but in reality, that data never reaches the intended peers, or it might need to be retransmitted. As a result, your upload stats might be inflated due to the retransmissions or because of the data being counted even if itโs eventually discarded. -
RE: Name studios you absolutely despise
@DreamDick I could have wrote this post lol
I find it really interesting how most of us feel the same way about those studios, this feeling that it lacks anything particularly innovative or even interesting. And despite all that, they are the most popular ones. I reckon that the people who subscribe to those sites don't consume any other type of porn, those were simply their first contact with it and they have stuck to it and don't know anything else.
I agree that disruptive has some good scenes but has since them fallen from grace. MEN scripts indeed seem to have come straight out of a lame Chat GPT prompt.

RE: Tracker/Client Issues - Need Help
@2econdspark I have one last question, what status is reported in your Trackers tab while the torrents are stalled? Not contacted, or some sort of error?
Check if you can open this page in your browser: https://tracker.gaytor.rent/stmdd/
If it shows the tracker backend stats, you are connecting to the tracker normally, if it fails to open you could be being blocked by the tracker itself or by your internet provider.
And last but not least, you could try downgrading your qbittorrent to the previous version, 5.0.2. I suggest this because I have seen people having similar issues after updating to 5.0.3.

May I take a moment of your time to talk about this?
Apparently, AI made "influencers" are now a thing, they are spreading across fansites such as OF and JFF and making tons of money. First time I came across @dr__enzo I had such a good laugh because of how janky and obvious it was, didn't give much attention... Today I came across his profile once again by accident, only to find out he has a "boyfriend" as real as himself called Nico, take a look:
Nico:
Dr Enzo:
What really worries me is the amount of big creators that follow them on X, I'll name a few:
beefypeaches 177K
Baysexcali 119K
Emiliano Terra 736K
DiscoDick 318K
VICTXR 330K
XXL Top London 457K
Jordan 575K
Luc & Alex 735KThe ones I mentioned are merely the ones I follow, there are many more huge names, who are constantly interacting with these accounts, no one addresses the fact that all their posts is computer generated.
I don't usually make posts like this but I just can't feel like I'm living the Truman Show alone, you're coming with me!

RE: Freeleech request, please
@eobox91103 said in Freeleech request, please:
I don't fully understand this, although given that this is the case, more leechers (encouraged by a free-leech) would increase the likelihood that one could connect. I shall have to study "NAT issues" in my copious spare time
Every machine connected to the internet has a public IP address, but sometimes that IP is shared between multiple machines. To cut costs, Internet Providers often assign a single IP to multiple customers using NAT (Network Address Translation). But this comes with a big drawback:
If you're behind a NAT , every time a connection is established between you and another machine, it was initiated by you. Anyone trying to initiate a connection with you will be blocked by the NAT.
A good analogy would be: Imagine you and your neighbor are throwing separate parties, and NAT is the gatekeeper. When you invite guests, NAT keeps track of who belongs to which party and lets them in accordingly. But if a random stranger shows up uninvited, NAT turns them away at the gate.
So imagine you're the only seeder in a torrent. If you're behind a NAT, leechers will never be able to contact your client. Your client might proactively initiate a connection to the leecher, so even behind a NAT it is possible to seed. But if both the seeder and the leecher are behind a NAT, they will never be able to contact each other.

RE: Classic porn from the 2000s and 2010s... what happened with porn??
Tbh i don't think the acting was any better, neither was the directing. I know there used to be much more plot-driven films back in the day, even feature films with characters that were somewhat well developed. And today every body is just either dad/son/sibling which says a lot about the viewer base...
I'd like to have those plot-driven porn making a comeback, but not in a pathetic attempt of making an art essay like some recent attempts from known directors, such as Noel Alejandro. I'd prefer something that is still more porn than film, just with a backbone to pave the way and enhance the action.
One thing that I don't miss for sure are the condoms, and one thing that I miss like hell are the pubes and body hair, today it seems like everybody is a hairy hunk with just a few whispies down there...
And if we are to get a half-assed plot with a cringy performance, there's nothing wrong with skipping it altogether and going straight to the action. It works well, specially for big stars. I mean, it's impossible for me to see Teddy Torres and don't immediatelly see Teddy Torres, which is character already, not a real person, and it's a character I'm familiar with, I know he's a porn performer.

RE: upload ratio help
welp i hope i don't sound that much of an asshole when it's me giving the condescending bit
@thor9023 when you are seeding, your max speed is only a tiny bit of the equation, the person downloading from you are often splitting their traffic throughout multiple connections with several other peers, for you to seed/download at very high speeds you need to be lucky to connect to someone with a matching bandwidth.
Having hundreds or thousands of active torrents sure increases your odds of eventually seeding a small portion of them to others, but realistically it depends a lot on another simple concept: demand.
I'll take myself as an example. My ratio have been very consistent, sitting around 1. Because I don't really care for increasing my ratio, I don't want to use my own storage as a CDN for other people, storing a huge amount of porn that I don't like and will never wank to. I only download what has use to me.
What that means: most of what I download is what I search for, more often than not it is old stuff that have been on the site for years. There rarely is demand for those torrents. If you download an old torrent, you can expect to never help seed it at all, the odds of someone downloading are very low, and if it happens it could be in a moment when you're not even online to help.
In simple terms, whenever I download something that is not freeleech, I am aware that I will most likely never recover the downloaded bytes through seeding those torrents. Instead, most of the upload credit I get is from:
1 freeleeched torrents
2 self-uploaded torrentsSo if you are on a run to increase your ratio, you must start to download only torrents with high activity. Those are torrents uploaded recently or that went on freeleech mode.
This is some sort of gambling, because there will never be any guarantee that you will seed anything you download. Often times people hurt their ratio attempting to download massive torrents only because they have high activity. Not wise... Instead, focus on downloading only a small portion of those massive torrents, you'll still be able to help seed while having a lower chance of ending in ratio debt.
