It is a very, very small step forward… he talks about "civil marriage", but not "religious marriage" (I don't think we will ever see that happening)... I have very close friends who are catholic and would love to also be able to celebrate a "religious marriage". For them, the fact that the Pope is for "civil" marriages is not important news: in Spain we have been able to celebrate civil marriages since 2005.

Rather than start a new thread, I thought I would add this fun article about a woman who is quite instrumental in getting drag queens to become voting ambassadors.  While I'm sure they win over a segment of open-minded straights, the impact on increasing LGBTQ voter turnout is particularly notable.

nah, boycott! there are plenty of other companies that have a clean track record. lol when it comes to lgbtq+ issues.
remember they did something about it AFTER there was negative press.  Meaning if no press then they wouldn't have changed.

I can remember watching him on TV as a kid.  I saw his show in Las Vegas back in the late 80s.

I was sorry to read this the other day. He never recovered from the accident he had in his apartment. A very talented man. RIP.
