@OKCancel You might be stuck: It seems that only five* people downloaded this when it was posted 12-14 years ago...and either none of them are still site members, or the system doesn't still have a record of who they are. Bottom line is that no reseed requests were sent out.

*But...it seems odd that the page shows that only five people downloaded this, and yet 18 site members gave a "thank you" to the torrent. You could try sending a PM to the members hyperlinked on the page:

It's not about layout. It's about accurate information.

The "rules" you posted were not accurate. If you want to use the old layout for yourself, that's your own business. But if you post things for other members to see, please make sure they match what is on the current, live website.

That would explain it. I'm glad the rules changed--there's a lot of good gay-related content in mainstream media, and I think it's important for us to see how that is portrayed to the larger public. A while back I downloaded a recent BBC documentary featuring diver Tom Daley about institutionalised homophobia in other Commonwealth countries. I have yet to watch it, but based on a few small snippets, it looks very good.

To come back to the OP's issue, Teen Wolf wouldn't qualify under current site rules as it's neither gay-themed nor "male physique," even if the actors are easy on the eye.

Perhaps it's a "deep fake." Someone could manipulate the page's HTML code and come up with something that looks sort of real, but isn't. For example, a few minutes of mischief could produce the following:

But note that this doesn't show an address bar. Doing that would reveal that the browser isn't displaying a gaytor.rent web page--it's showing a file on my computer.

(For the record, I have nothing against purple penises. In the spirit of Monty Python, let us remember that Every schlong is sacred; every schlong is great. If a schlong is wasted, God gets quite irate.)

An outdated page could explain this problem...although it looks like @john32123666 is grabbing an image from his browser. I don't know how this would show up: I tried going to archive.org to see if I could get old pages from gaytorrent.ru, but the upload page/rules are behind a log-in, so they're not archived.

This will be one of life's mysteries.

I looked at the source code for that page, and I didn't see anything about "mainstream media" that would get garbled by a browser. And, there's lots of content from the BBC on the torrent site, which would be odd if it were banned.

I'm getting the uncomfortable feeling that the "rules" cited by @john32123666 don't really exist. I hope I'm wrong about that, as it would make for an awkward situation.

@john32123666 I think we can understand the problem now. When you go to that link, you get what you've pasted in. I don't get. What I get (pasted in below) is something different. That would seem to be a problem with the website, and needs to be referred to the help desk. Perhaps other members could say what they get when they go to the link.

There were some videos posted in the last few days with lots of guys running around in briefs, with no sex or gay content. That would qualify here under this "we like bulges" provision.

I'm not familiar with the Teen Wolf series. I know that many of the actors are attractive, but if they keep their clothes on, then it wouldn't count as "male physique" and thus not be appropriate for this site.

Having said all that, I appreciate @Ricksterkid's willingness to share material with other members, and I hope this experience doesn't stop sharing in the future.

It can take a while for somebody who has that video to see the reseed request and then choose to reseed it. In my experience, if a seeder doesn't show up within a week or so, it's not going to happen.

I checked a few other torrent sites, and this material isn't available on them either.

@duke4172 His name is Wyatt Cushman, he has Twitter and OnlyFans, but it doesn't look like he shows more. Then again, I haven't bought any subscriptions.

@scatslut The display you get depends on the client you're using. I use uTorrent, and let's say I get a display like this:

This shows green because the torrent on that line is still active; a dead torrent would show red. But the things to look at are the Seeds and Peers columns:

• This one shows 13 seeders present, although I'm not connected to any of them because I've finished downloading what I want. If you still want to download material from a torrent, this number will need to be something other than zero. If it shows zero, the tracker won't hook you up with a seeder, and you won't be getting any data from them.

• Similarly, it shows 10 peers (also called leechers) present, and I'm connected to three of them. This means that 10 users have not yet fully downloaded this torrent, and three of them are connected to me, able to get data from my files. If the torrent is deleted by the system, I might still be connected to some of them and be able to send them data, but I don't think the system gives me upload credit for that. You can also receive data from other leechers--if they have data that you don't have.

• If the client shows that you're not connected to any seeders or leechers (0 in both columns), then you won't get any new data. Depending on the torrent you might have some complete files, and maybe some semi-useful partial files...but that's it.

I hope this helps.

If you look under "trackers," it probably says "unregistered torrent." This means that it's no longer in the system. Most likely it's been removed by staff, perhaps in response to a DMCA request, or maybe some other reason. In any event, it's dead. If you're still connected to another user you'll be able to exchange data for a while, but the tracker won't connect you to (new) other users.

@drekkin I share your frustration. While I'd like to always thank people for sharing their content, some torrents are simply garbage. I wish people would apply some sort of "golden rule" to their uploads...meaning "only upload a torrent with content/description/images/etc. that you would want to download yourself." I don't see why anyone would want to download a 50 GB torrent called "my favourite porn" with 20 cryptically named files and one or two pictures (that aren't necessarily related to any of the files). Surprisingly, though, there are people who download stuff like that.

I don't think the solution is to sanction uploaders of garbage torrents, but perhaps there's a way of rewarding uploaders of really good ones. Some torrents are clearly the result of much care by their uploaders, with clear description of the content, including thumbnail pages for each video file (and that's very easy to do). It would be nice to have a reward for these superstar uploaders. Perhaps more use of the "thank you" button is enough.

I think the term "public" is being used two different ways in this thread:

I've had sex in bathhouses, bushes behind gay/nude beaches, and at a gay sex party. While this was with or in view of strangers, they were all willing participants (or voyeurs), and nobody's rights were violated. I'm not sure I would call this "public," but the presence of (willing) strangers has an appeal.

I've also had/seen sex in the shower rooms of gyms; this would probably be considered "public" and thus inappropriate, but on a couple of occasions it was difficult to resist. (Once at university I was seen by another student, and I stopped immediately...a few years later at a YMCA I was caught by a staff person, who joined in.)

Some guy having a wank on a street corner is definitely public and definitely inappropriate. It could easily be considered harassment as @flozen suggests above.
