"…it creeps me out to see a guy with a vagina!   eek!"

True as that may be, it still doesn't change the fact that there are guys with a vagina–"Shemale"--both incorrect and inappropriate in terms of gender identification

      @raphjd:

I also agreed with a name change.

However, "shemale" has long been a specific type of porn so I can see why some people might be against a change.

I apologize for having started this thread–off-topic to this particular post--refraining from continuing it here.

So, regarding this reply #18 from raphjd, and reply #17 from Domosuke…

Well you can pretty much forget about this.

This is not gonna happen, as clearly this forum is not accepting of trans people.

Which is why we as gay men are never gonna improve by the way.

Well, Domosuke, regardless…one’s personal “feeling” towards transgender people has no bearing on what really needs to be resolved--it shouldn't anyway. Same with the comments and results at my forum post and poll requesting/suggesting the category rename–opinions specific to my choice.

      None of that should matter.

Renaming the particular category is something the site should be addressing anyway--“Shemale”--a term deemed no longer fitting.

“Defamatory: "tranny," "she-male," "he/she," "it," "shim"
These words dehumanize transgender people and should not be used in mainstream media. The criteria for using these derogatory terms should be the same as those applied to vulgar epithets used to target other groups: they should not be used except in a direct quote that reveals the bias of the person quoted. So that such words are not given credibility in the media, it is preferred that reporters say, "The person used a derogatory word for a transgender person." Please note that while some transgender people may use "tranny" to describe themselves, others find it extremely offensive.” - GLAAD Media Reference Guide - Transgender - http://www.glaad.org/reference/transgender

Consider these two current category names as examples–“Black” and “Asian”--I’m pretty sure “Negro” and “Oriental” wouldn’t go over too well.

So, whether you like my suggestion or have one of your own–Vote for Change!

in a long term relationship, if there is a huge age difference, there may be problems.

There may be problems in any relationship–"long term" or otherwise--regardless of the age difference between the individuals.

…most of the guys seem to be sexually attracted to daddies with hopes they've got that $omething $pecial and don't quite view their romantic-emotional side...

The "Sugar Daddy"/"Sugar Mama" speculation is common in perceptions of younger/older relationships–straight and gay. As I see it, that number is attributed more to the difference in assets over age–yield vs. years.

That “true love”–equal in age or older--can be a “gold-digger” just as much as that young hottie.

As it happens to be in our relationship, there is the age difference, and no doubt a big gap in our “net worth” as well–my “marrying well”--I guess you could say. That’s just how it is.

Believe me, there surely was no inkling that that “nooner” 35 years ago was anything but. (“How long have you and your partner been together?” - https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=49673.msg269126#msg269126)

“The Virgin Mary was sleeping when Angel Gabriel appeared.
He said, ‘You are to be the virgin mother.’
But Mary thought that was weird.

Mary said, ‘I'm not a virgin, I blew a guy last year.’
But then, Gabriel said to Mary, ‘My child, have no fear,
Cause you can suck all the dick you want and still be a Virgin, Mary.

You can suck all the dick you want and still not be considered flawed.
Though, Mary, you went to town and sucked some semen down,
You're still a virgin in the eyes of God…

Folks will remember your name quick!
They'll say, Damn, that bitch can suck a dick!

Good or bad, it's part of history.

Just as racism has come to be, and will continue being so as long as there are those teaching it…and anyone there to listen to the crap, carrying on the ugly practice.

    • How long have you and your partner been together?

Today–May 15, 2017, now considered as the “official” date--Bobby “CrusaderRab” and I celebrate our 35th anniversary.

      35 Years--three and a half decades!

I’m pretty sure that a relationship of any sort was something that never crossed the minds of either of us looking back to that warm Saturday afternoon--never thinking that one-time thing would turn into every other week–months later, probably still never really looking at a future and years together.

Even as the years passed, a life together wasn’t foreseen. Now, decades later, I can’t imagine a life without Bobby. Countless fantastic experiences I’ve enjoyed with him over these last 35 years, most of which he’s the one to thank for.

Today--in its twilight--there’s no doubt about our relationship and the future for it’s the relationship of a lifetime that’s destined to last a lifetime!

Regarding the “official” May 15th date--a revision--only recently recognized in putting this post together. Unsure of exactly when it all started, our guesstimate has always had the date as May 13th--the two of us celebrating a couple of days ago…

      I called him and said, “Happy Anniversary…” His reply…”Oh, today’s the 13th?”

Seeing today, May 15th as the true anniversary date, we definitely did do it up more than we did a couple of days ago–calling, informing him of the real date and how it came to be, I said “Make a mental note…”

      …then I said, “Happy Anniversary…”

Acknowledging the revised date, Bobby replied, “Happy Anniversary.”

With that I say, Happy Anniversary to all celebrating one today–asking how long have you and yours been together?

    • RE: What song are you currently listening to?

I was listening to a set of songs, and this one had me deciding to put together a forum post–giving a shout out to California and the Bay Area–surprised, stunned and kind of sad when I started my search for information and material, coming to find that Leon Ware recently passed away.

From his1982 album Leon Ware, “Why I Came to California” is a smooth jazz tune–a duet with Janis Siegel from the vocal group The Manhattan Transfer…

      Youtube Video

“…On a many a summer evening found me searching for the fire,
The elusive sea of childhood then became a one desire
There were places in the valley where they said that I could find it
There were rhythms in the distance in the ancient elder forest

That is why I came to California…

      San Francisco,
Catch a cable car to where your dreams go
      There's a lot of make believe…

That is why I came to California
It's the freest groove that I have ever known
All the youth seekers come to California,
Following the fountain in their mind…” - “Why I Came to California” (Leon Ware, 1982)

“Leon Ware (February 16, 1940 - February 23, 2017) was an American music artist, songwriter and composer. Besides a solo career as a performer, Ware was best known for producing hits for other artists including Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Maxwell, Minnie Riperton and Marvin Gaye, co-producing the latter's album, I Want You.” - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Leon_Ware

      …rest in peace.

      @gaypraha2:

random number of ratio means nothing if you dont take into account the amount of data transferred.
It's easy to have a 10 as ratio if you only downloaded few Go.

Over a 100 GB downloaded ls a bit more than a "few" in my opinion.

Regardless, they're still impressive numbers to me.

    • The “Biggest” I’ve Seen! - (and I thought my “10+” was good)

A while back I remember being impressed with my 7+, posting a forum reply at “Re: Anyone who manages…1.0 or above ratio without donating?” - https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=41958.msg238484#msg238484

Back then, with a share ratio of 7.373, I have to say I was impressed with myself.

Then I saw 45.921 and was blown away–cut down to size!

So a week ago I broke 10. Again, a little impressed with the number, I wanted to get an idea of where it fell among share ratios. (Of course knowing that 45.921 from a while back was just a rarity, an anomaly--in my opinion--and my 10 was pretty good.)

I was so wrong. Not only was it at the low end of the 10 bracket share ratio, I couldn’t believe the number of those between 10 and that 45--and the numbers surpassing it as well!

      Then I saw the “whopper”--an incredible 256.894! 256.894! Wow!

I’m still happy with my 10 plus knowing it’s really not that big of a deal when it comes to share ratios, and to those with the truly “big ones”–I say fantastic!
