Hi plex, the message you got should have a link to the original torrent page. Click on this and you get to that page. Just download the torrent again.

I assume you still have the file you downloaded - if you haven't you won't be able to reseed.

Open the torrent file again as usual, but when it asks where you want to save the file, point the torrent client to the same file you originally downloaded. The torrent client should say 'checking' and when it has checked say 'Seeding' or 'Queue seeding'.

And that's it.

If it says 'downloading' it means you haven't got the right file or you haven't got the complete contents of the file. Just stop the download.

That last line by bear1515 is the clincher - so many new members grab every movie going, get a bad ratio and find it hard to struggle back.

The number one way to increase your ratio is to upload a torrent of your own although it is sometimes difficult to find something that is not a duplicate.

The Rationator page https://www.gaytorrent.ru/rationator.php has some helpful hints on how to increase your ratio

Lumithin, it seems you could be heading for another ratio 'disaster'.

It's a good idea to build some upload credit before you jump in a download everything in sight. There are plenty of ideas on the Rationator page on how to keep a good ratio or earn bonus points which you can exchange for upload credits.

In passing to staff, might it be a good idea to add the Forum bonus points to the Rationator lists?

Sorry if I'm being stupid or stating the obvious but AFTER you download your own torrent you should open it as usual in your torrent client and then point your client to the exact file you made your torrent from.

You are not trying to 'download' -if your torrent client says it is 'downloading' your file you haven't pointed it to the file on your disk.

Again apologies if I have stepped on anyone's toes or am teaching granny to suck eggs

One thing to remember is that YOU DON'T GET BANNED FOR POSTING A DUPLICATE!!!!

You get a very pleasant message from a staff member saying something along the lines of 'you've just posted a duplicate, we'll hide it until your present downloaders have finished. But please don't let this stop you from uploading in the future'. I know I've had one.

It's similar if you upload a banned 'content'.

It's a great help to the staff if you can search for duplicates before you seed (but robs me of 50 points if I would have spotted it  ) but the staff are not sitting there waiting to ban people (except for the obvious stuff).

So if you have a better/bigger/smaller version of what has been posted before there is nothing to stop you posting.
