Nope, you're just a troll
And you're just a bigoted White Supremacist hiding behind Trumpite & Russian propaganda!
There! Names traded... I win! Again!
@raphjd said in Gay Florida student says school stopping him from running for senior class president:
That is what the laws of the US and SCOTUS say.
Also, NO, the US is not a democracy. The US is a representative republic.
It seems, that you believe that people can break any rules they want, as long as you agree with them.
Even if this student supported the Florida law and protested in favor, I would still say he has to pay the price for violating the rules and knew it beforehand.
1 - @serenity is correct: the religious-right will not stop with "don't say gay" - and they have an insidious new "weapon" they're using: allowing individuals to sue governments over perceived "morals" abuses. Further, the challenge to Roe v Wade is also a harbinger to a sure-to-come challenge to the Obergefell v. Hodges case - the one that legalized Gay Marriage using the 14th Amendment protections to do so. (The religious conservatives consider this JUST AS EGREGIOUS a "moral overstepping" as Roe v. Wade.)
2 - The assumption that outlawing gay activities in the US would make this website illegal is moot. Under US Law, this website is already illegal in many, many ways! And as that legal environment continues to change, the site owners (and staff) have made changes to our rules of behavior that are intended to help keep us "under the radar" of any enforcement... even though I highly doubt that this site is physically housed in the US, coming under attack in US Courts would be - let's just say, crushing.
3 - @raphjd's assertion that the student "broke the law" is absurd, but it follows from his common theme: people who agree with him are to be allowd the MAXIMUM freedoms to express themselves, while other, dissenting views, should be shut down. It is a FUNDAMENTAL RIGHT under the US Constitution for people to protest their Government. The Jan 6 protesters were all well-within their rights to protest... right up until they attacked and broke into the Capitol building! This student didn't break any laws - he just organized a student protest against a new law he thought was targeting he and others like him... and he wasn't wrong.
4 - the idea that all teachers are pushing a "gay agenda" on their students is hogwash and an overstatement of the problem, such as there is one, to a MASSIVE scale. YES, there are teachers who overstep their bounds, "get out of their lanes" - and they should be punished. But that doesn't mean typing the hands - and exposing everyone to frivolous litigation - is even a reasonable solution... UNLESS your goal is to enforce your own moral beliefs on all others. Sieg Heil! (And I thought the "culture wars" were over for the US after the 1980's and 1990s! Silly me!)
5 - the mere idea that you can "groom" someone into becoming gay or trans is a concept debunked in the 1950's! Ref: Kinsey & Associates). That it's being brought back up now is just "cover" for the fear and hate mongering of "people not like US" (In this case: US is code for: white, straight, christian MEN - you know, the people who built this country and that we should all be worshiping - right now!)
BTW: @raphjd's "replacement" is awaiting entry into the UK right now. He is a black, African, Jew who will take his job, his house, and his lover... because they (people of color, people from poor countries, and non-Christians) are all superior to him in every way!
Or, at least that's what he's been programmed to believe!
Ooga booga! (hands waving)

Yeah, I know - pointing out the CORRUPT politicians is so "being a troll"
The problem you have with this - in spite of this being a Democrat - is that the "field" of corrupt politicians is RIFE (nay, overcrowded) by Trumpites! And, while you love to point out the faults of others, you are loath to allow for the possibility of "bad apples" in your own fold.
THIS is why you are a hypocrite and an evangelist for a lost, faithless cause.

As it currently stands, those that create and/or enforce the laws can break them at will.
How many laws, that her party put in place, has Scotland's First Minister broken and the police refuse to charge her? The same goes for countless politicians.
Biden's first hour in office he signed the EO mandating masks on ALL federal property, which he promptly violated with his family. Similar thing with many governors.
"Equal protection" my ass.
Oh, I'm not claiming elected officials don't sometimes get away with things they shouldn't! But this ain't that!
You wanted to punish her MORE because she's an elected official... that's just as wrong as not punishing her!
I get it - as a Trumpite, you don't really get the concept of "equality"... it's an anathema to your belief system that you're right, every one else is wrong, and nanny-nanny-boo-boo!
@raphjd said in OAN forced to admit 2020 Election fraud claims were... well, fraudulent!:
I don't know enough about the case to know what evidence or not they have.
But since you are both members of the DNC, and think only Repubs steal elections, I thought you 2 rub vags on the regular.
You stupid shit - no one ever claimed that the Republicans stole any elections! Indeed, the issue isn't whether Dems or Republicans stole any elections - BOTH outcomes would be drastically evil for democracy!
No, fart-for-brains, the concept is simple:
They were free and fair elections, with no more than the normal amount of irregularities.

@kco said in Handling "dead" torrents.:
Is there a way for the tracker to better report why a torrent is dead on the torrent client side?
I've got "some" unregistered torrents. (As reported by the tracker)
That means:
- taken down?
- tracked decided to mark them as "dead"?
- ¿?¿?
Why I don't delete them? Because sometimes torrents "revive".
Could you improve that messaging system please?
If there are no seeders, but the torrent wasn't deleted, you'll get a registration with the tracker...
If the torrent was deleted or suspended, you get the "unregistered torrent" - but that's because that particular torrent doesn't exist in the system anymore.. Tell me, do you leave a post-it note in the pantry when you throw away the empty cereal box? I don't! You know it's gone because it's not there anymore.
Finally, The moderators have a way to make a torrent "unavailable" - which I would think would also give you that "unregistered torrent" message. I had an upload that they wanted to "review" once... once it was "passed", it reappeared on the site.
Hopefully this explains what you're seeing - and why significant changes aren't really possible...
still more YouTube shit?
Someone's news feed from the Kremlin has been cut...
and he's in a panic for material... but really, honestly, this low?

omg - Someone's news feed from the Kremlin has been cut...AND THEY'RE IN A PANIC!

Personally, I think that anyone who creates and/or enforces laws should get a 5x penalty when they break the law.
So much for "equal protection" --
See my earlier post about your warped view of "freedom"...
How's Putin these days?
@raphjd said in Gay Florida student says school stopping him from running for senior class president:
He says because of the disciplinary infractions he receivedUmm, what is wrong with that?
He knowingly broke the rules and wants to keep special privileges.
Next, you're gonna post about a felon crying because he can't have a gun.
ONLY in your feeble excuse for a mind is "participating in school" a "special privilege"...
Had he been protesting for, say, Trump's fake election lies, then you'd be all over this!
THAT is the difference between you and I:
I am a conservative who believes the law applies equally to all - regardless of the viewpoint of the others.
You are a Trumpite who believes that the law does NOT apply to some people (whose views you agree with) and should be especially strictly applied to those who you disagree with.
I believe in FREEDOM - freedom for all to have their own opinions, their own beliefs, and in a Gov't that is as SMALL and unobtrusive as it can be to permit and protect the freedoms of ALL - Even Liberals, hell even Nazi's!
You believe in the freedom to enforce your views onto other people, to limit the ability of people who oppose you to express their views, and in a Gov't that CONTROLS the populace. (Sound like Kremlin-talk? I think so too!)
@raphjd said in Murder suspect may show up on November ballot in IN:
I can understand why he's still able to run.
Imagine the reverse. If you don't like a candidate you just accuse them of a felony so they can't run. Once the election is over, drop the charges.
Truth is, he's admitted to the crime (killing her), he pled not-guilty because he thinks there were mitigating circumstances warranting a lesser charge.
Oh, and if he pleads guilty to a misdemeanor? He can serve! Even from jail!
@raphjd said in OAN forced to admit 2020 Election fraud claims were... well, fraudulent!:
True, because no voter fraud ever happens, despite all the cases we know about it happening.
OAN backed down due to the legal case.
Oh, say "hey" to your bestie Stacy Abrams.
Ummm... don't you thing that IF they had any actual evidence - that would be admissable in court - that they would have gone to trial?
This is actually DAMAGING to their credibility! And NEWS outlets DEPEND on their credibility....
Of course, I am not surprised that you still have your head buried in the sand... in fact, you've been awfully quiet lately...
I'd say it started about mid-Feb... gee, what could possibly have pre-occupied your Kremlin handlers starting around then?
I can't seem to find anything...
Curiouser and curiouser....
BTW: I live in Florida (across the canal from Florida Man), not Georgia (where Stacy Abrams is located)...
Once again, your Kremlin Education has failed you...
The right-wing cable network One America News Network (OAN) on Monday ran a pre-recorded 30-second segment acknowledging that there was “no widespread voter fraud” by Georgia election workers in the 2020 presidential election. The segment appears to be part of a recent settlement relating to a defamation lawsuit brought against the network by two such workers.
The segment notes that an investigation by state officials into unsubstantiated claims of widespread voter fraud made by ex-President Donald Trump and Rudy Giuliani turned up nothing. “The results of this investigation indicate that Ruby Freeman and Wandrea ‘Shaye’ Moss did not engage in ballot fraud or criminal misconduct,” a narrator states.
“A legal matter with this network and the two election workers has been resolved to the mutual satisfaction of the parties through a fair and reasonable settlement,” the voiceover adds.

A 28-year-old Florida Man was arrested May 4, 2022 for allegedly battering his ex-boyfriend during a predawn confrontation about penises, according to a criminal complaint.
Cops report that Kyle Elias Perez--who shares a St. Petersburg, FL residence with the 37-year-old victim--woke up his now-ex at 5:15 AM and confronted the victim for “not having any compassion for [Perez’s] desire for uncircumcised penises.”
Investigators noted that Perez, who apparently is circumcised, screamed at the victim for “having no compassion for the arrested’s mutilated genitals.”
Perez, cops say, then grabbed the victim’s arm and struck the man in the face, causing “visible injuries to arm and face.” Perez also allegedly scratched the victim while pulling his hair.
When officers arrived on the scene, Perez fled the residence on foot and hid behind a vehicle in a rear alley. After being apprehended, Perez reportedly stated that the victim’s account of the incident was correct, and that “he and his ex-boyfriend/victim were arguing over uncircumcised penis.”

So much crap happens in Fla, it's a wonder the other 49 States haven't EVICTED us!
A murder suspect could be on the Boone County, IN Republican ballot in November unless he withdraws his name.
Andrew Wilhoite is one of three candidates who won the Republican nod in Tuesday’s election to pursue a seat on the Clinton Township Board in November’s general election. Wilhoite earned 60 votes to his colleagues’ 106 and 110.
Wilhoite was charged with murder in March after confessing to police that he hit is wife with a concrete planter and dumped her body in a creek, according to a probable cause affidavit.
Elizabeth ‘Nikki’ Wilhoite, 41, filed for divorce from Andrew on March 17, and when Nikki didn’t show up for work the next day, a co-worker told police the couple had domestic trouble and asked them to check on her, according to Boone County Dispatch records. Police reported finding Nikki’s body where Andrew told them to look on March 19.
No one can remove Wilhoite’s name from the ballot, but he has the right to withdraw his name by June 15, Brad King, co-director of the bipartisan Indiana Election Division, said Wednesday.
“There is no legal reason he can’t be a candidate,” King said. “Under our system you are innocent until you are proven guilty. If a person is convicted of a felony, then they are no longer eligible to be a candidate and are ineligible to hold office.”
New office holders generally take an oath of office before Boone County Clerk Jessica Fouts in her office, but there’s no rule requiring the oath to happen there.
“Any notary public can administer an oath of office, and that can be in any setting in which the person is available to have the oath administered and sign the oath of office,” King said.
Fouts said she’s never administered an oath to an inmate, and Boone County Republican Chairwoman Debbie Ottinger said she does not remember another time that a candidate was incarcerated.
Wilhoite, a 39-year-old farmer, is scheduled for pre-trial conference this month. August is the earliest possible date for his trial, but murder trials in Boone County usually occur more than a year after charges are filed. Wilhoite is being held without bond in the Boone County Jail until his trial, as required by law for the charge of murder, so he is not likely to be free before November.
