There are more "holes" than you provide here in the "incest illegal solely because of genetic issues" theory. If you'd made the comment "Let them die" in January (2021) - when we didn't know much about the vaccines, among many other aspects of this disease and its spread... that would have been crass and uncaring.

Making that comment in August (2021) - when we know (factually) that the vaccines work and are safe and plentiful (at least here in the US), but where politics has UNNECESSARILY been injected into public health... where people are given the facts and asked to help prevent the spread of this disease with 2 simple things: get vaccinated, & wear a mask indoors - but politics (and in most cases, solely politics) stops people from doing so ... AND they're the ones dying (or at least 90% of those dying)... and when put into the context that I've been using - which is "what else can we do?"... well then, "Let them die" isn't crass and uncaring, its exhaustion and resignation... it's all we can do... we're pretty much OUT of options! (Shit, SOME of these people have been offered $1000 to take the vaccine - by their employers - but still refuse!)

When you get to the Pearly Gates and St Peter tells YOU you're too early, don't be surprised when he tells you:
