      @Frederick:

      @vaylon:

      I can't think of anyone who isn't part of a classification.

      Why do most Christian groups call each other Christian in Public but condemn and call each other satan and evil in private?

      People have different needs and desires regardless of their classifications. Nobody is the same as everyone else. Its what makes us individuals.

      But I do kind of agree with the LBQT thing. adding trans to the mix was the worst mistake the gay movement ever did. They have nothing in common .
      Most real trans people do the transition and become the person  and vanish into that life. They don't want to be seen or heard of as they were. Only the one's wanting attention are the one's who seem to show up and make fools of themselves.

      Yes.. but "real" trans people are very rare.  Although.. there are a percentage of genetic "male" babies born with penises that are so small that the doctors often do a bit of surgery to make that baby a female and are raised as a female.  Some babies born with micro penises are raised as males though - such as Brian.

      In the past what you said is true. Doctors based that judgment on what the genitalia looked like and what could be more beneficial or prominent. But many modern medical centers are able to determine a persons genetic and chromosomal identity shortly after birth and give that information to the parents for them to determine the sex.

    • RE: "Innocent until proven guilty" - is a joke

      Frederick, what you are talking about has been going on long before the news media started playing a part in it. In decades past, when something happened suspects were rounded up and the less desirable of them were most likely to be hung by community outrage. Thats why so many innocent young black men were killed in southern states during the civil rights era.
      The television news media had a strict code of ethics for a long time. Opinion pieces and hearsay were considered gossip.
      But then came the late 80's. Jerry Springer show was number one and fox news was launched that broke the mold. The began running opinions of experts as facts and news. Fox news started climbing in the polls and guess what? More and more stations started doing the same thing. Its all about the money.
      During the early 90's fox news was pretty much an exact copy of reading the Globe or National Inquirer. Not really news but tons of gossip and opinions. They really haven't changed to this day. The entire "pizza gate" sham was all on Fox's head. They were the first to run it and kept it up for weeks. With no proof or backup, just a unverified opinion and gossip. Much like the United Nations is taking over America stories they ran during the Clinton presidency.
      Today we have the internet that doesn't require any of that integrity. Today you can get the news slanted any way you want. Left, right, and everything else, served up just the way you like it.
      Today, the mere mention of gossip is almost enough to convict and ruin a persons life and career. Its the modern day weapon of choice of politicians. Destroy your opponent in the poll's and your good to go.

      Its not just you or gay. Its all those apps are just ugh!!!!
      You cna't convey everything about yourself with a picture or a description.
      Try making a video and putting it up. That can convey much more of who you are. Seems to work for lots of girls.

    • RE: Coming out to homophobic parents?

      If you live under their roof. Don't do it. Start preparing for your own life and get on your feet first.
      If your not? Then fire away. If they really love you? It will show, if not. You will be stronger and better for it and not wasting time and effort on people who were false.

      @Frederick:

      @mattb36469:

      Oh god, we quickly got onto Trump… quick someone change the subject...

      I can understand why people of opposing parties attack the leaders of the opposing parties in the time period leading up to an election.. but continuing to attack AFTER the election is something new - instigated by Hillary Clinton.  Obama is also doing this.  Bush, Romney, nor McCain criticized Obama at all.

      You are one special fucking snowflake. Obama was attacked more from the day he entered office than any president in modern history.
      Democrats need to play by the Republican playbook and do it to the letter. As long as they are the minority they have to be the party of NO.
      Republicans never once cared for the rule of order, th rule of law or any of that during Obama. Why should Democrats do any different. Especially considering that Trump is likely to be the first president in History that may not just get impeached but very well may get imprisoned.
      Trump offers no answers or proof in anything he says other than "Believe me". Did you take Obama at his word? Then why should anyone take the word of a proven liar.

    • RE: If I never come out of closet…

      Coming out depends on your culture and where you live.
      If you are in America, its no big deal anymore. No one but the haters even cares and luckily, their numbers are shrinking very much. But if you live in Russia or Mongolia or most backwoods third world countries? Definitely think hard and long about it. You don't want to put yourself in danger.

    • RE: "Innocent until proven guilty" - is a joke

      Innocent until proven guilty has always been a joke. At no time in American history has that been true.
      But the case of which I think you are speaking has been judged by what the accused said in his police interview. That made him pretty much a murderer.
      Facts convict, not opinions.

    • RE: Weight Loss after a back operation

      One of the greatest exercises for people with back injuries is leg lifts.
      Lay flat on your back and just do what is comfortable.
      I started out just raising my feet about 6 inches off the floor, hold for 5 sec, and then lowering. Rest and repeat. If you get to the point your back starts to arch off the floor, then quit.
      It strengthens your core and also builds up all your lower back muscles to take the strain off the vertebrate.

      Another great low intensity exercise is planks. These will give you a flat belly in no time.

      But now for the bad news.
      Ageing causes your body to change on you, especially when it comes to food intake. So you most likely are going to have to cut back on all foods considerably. What works great for younger people does not work at all as you get older.

    • RE: Is an official marriage documents very important to our dialy life as gay?

      Yes.
      It conveys tons of automatic rights that you have as a legal couple. Inheritance, power of attorney, sole survivor as well as gov benefits in some catastrophic circumstances.
      And that's where you need them most. When something bad happens.
      Without the documents, you are just a friend. Nothing more.
      You can also accomplish the same thing by hiring an attorney and getting all the documents you need draw up to cover everything but that will cost you 50X what just going getting married will do.
      Its kind of like life insurance, as long as everything is going good, you don't need it. But when things go bad, they can get much worse without it.

    • RE: Too much importance is attached to a meaningless ceremony

      @flozen:

      @vaylon:

      The wedding stuff is for friends and family who want to attend.

      I must have a very jaded and disagreeable group of straight friends, because when they are invited to a wedding – especially by a distant relative or semi-casual acquaintance -- they are not very enthusiastic.  Sometimes, if the event is to be held in a different state (or country!), they look at it as a form of "gift extortion."  I can't say I blame them.   :blink:

      Not at all.  If I attended every wedding that I was invited too, I would go broke. The only weddings I attend are the ones that are convenient for me. As for gifts? I only send a gift if I have plenty of contact with the person. Even if its family, if I haven't spoken to them in a year or more, then I just toss the invite in the trash.
      Might send well wishes or congratulations card but that's it.

    • Problems since maintanance with trackers.

      Since the downtime for server maintenance,  downloads I finish don't seem to be showing as completed by the tracker on the wesite. Still shows me as leeching. Even when the torrent client is off.
      A couple of my recent one's that I have been experimenting with showed both completed and leeching at the same time on the website.
      Any help would be much appreciated.
