According to a new book about the 2012 US presidential campaign, Vice President Joe Biden was in hot water after he announced he was for gay marriage.

Double Down, written by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, chronicles the most recent race for the White House.

In the spring of 2012, Biden went  on NBC's Meet the Press and expressed personal support for same-sex marriage.

Halperin and Heilemann, according to Huffington Post, have Obama adviser David Plouffe exploding after Biden's words became public.

'What the fuck? was his [Plouffe's] reaction when he took a look at the transcript. We were going to do this! In the next two weeks! As a fucking surprise! How can this have happened,' the authors write.

The White House plan was to have the president 'evolve' on the topic, mentioning his new stance next time he was asked.

Six days after Biden's Meet the Press appearance, Obama became the first US president to publicly come out for marriage equality.

The vice president did not understand why Obama's team was furious.

'I don't understand why everyone's so mad at me,' the book has Biden saying to a confidant.

However, the former senator from Delaware did apologize to Obama.

Double Down also suggests Obama's "evolve" mantra was political. In 2004, his former press secretary Robert Gibbs heard the then relatively unknown state senator mention he was for marriage rights.

We try to catch "bad" (see note below) pictures as much as we can, but sometimes we don't know if they are "bad" because the torrents are poorly named.

NOTE:  By "bad" pictures, I'm referring to unrelated, poor size, blurry, etc, etc.

I'm not going to go into your sexual preferences, but instead focus on your relationships.

On Monday 21 Oct 2013 (yesterday), the US state of New Jersey became the 14th state to have marriage equality after the conservative Governor dropped his appeal to the state's Supreme Court.

Oddly, the state Supreme Court let a lower court ruling that gay marriages must be allowed starting yesterday (see above) stand pending the appeal.  This, however, makes sense when you consider that the chief justice said that so far the Governor/Attorney General have not given a valid reason to deny gays marriage equality, but that the court would hold off until the hearing in Jan 2014 before making a final decision.

Maybe I'm jaded, but this kind of thing doesn't shock me anymore.

We've seen this kind of thing from black centric and muslim countries for a long time and the former Soviet countries are just joining in.

I don't know why you are so angry, you caused the problem.  You posted your pictures on 27 Sept, which is what i went by, the posting date.  I didn't look at thread titles to see if someone posted in one contest period trying to get credit for another contest period.

Foxxling won all but 1 of the contests.  I can't remember who won the other.  No 2nd or 3rd prizes were granted because none met the minimum standard of pictures.  No one can win more than 1 prize per SIG per 2 week contest period. This is why Foxxling didn't win 2nd and 3rd place prizes in some of the SIGs.

When cleaning out the "play room",  never ever use soap.  Only use warm water.

1. There's probably a lot of extensions in IE and that's what's causing it.  Also, IE doesn't like to let go of it's history and bogs down the system with outdated webpages and whatnot until you restart it.
