      Pelley was on his way out for over a month before he left.  It had more to do with ratings than his commentary on the 15th, but I guess you can claim victory wherever you find it.

    • RE: "They" are attacking Trump again.. because he told the truth!

      So the part where Comey said he hoped he could let Flynn go was a lie.  Everything that Comey said that promotes Trump and Republicans is true and everything else is a lie.  Not only that, but it was Trump's lie about tapes that forced Comey to tell the truth. The logic is dizzying.

      OK.  He was democratic, but not a very high-ranking one. "Phil Montag, now-former co-chair of the (Nebraska) state party’s technology committee."  His words were reprehensible and he was fired for it.

      Why do you stick your neck out defending the indefensible?

      Who's defending him? Just pointing out he does not represent any Democrats except himself.

      Except for the part where Comey states that the President was not under investigation, Trump has disputed and directly contradicted Comey's testimony.  Who is telling the truth?

    • RE: UK LibDems (leftists) lead by homophobe Tim Farron

      @raphjd:

      LibDem  are basically the SJW party and their leader is a homophobe.

      Labour has turned into a quasi communist party under it's current leader.    The top 3 people in the party support terrorism.   They refuse to condemn their praise of the IRA's terrorism and they are quick to downplay muslim terrorism.    Usually, they are like the Democrats.

      Tories are the conservative party.   It's pretty much just like the Republicans, with a lot of views on issues.

      I can see why you are a conservative.  Perhaps, if I lived in Britain I would be too.  But in the US, I find it difficult to align myself with most conservatives here.

      @raphjd:

      Tim Farron finally quit as leader of the UK's LibDem party (leftists).     He is a homophobe and religious nutter, yet his party supported him as leader.

      So tell me again how it's the conservatives who are homophobes.

      I will admit my ignorance of UK politics, but I wonder how closely the liberal/conservative lines there parallel those in the US.  Can you name a liberal in the US against gay rights?  Google couldn't.

      I can.. Hillary Clinton!

      OMG! She changed her opinion on gay marriage after 15 years!  If we pointed out every time Trump contradicted one of his previous tweets, there would be no room for anything else in this forum. The country and SCOTUS evolved on the issue in that time.

    • RE: US Supreme Court unanamously rules against liberals

      The Supreme Court has always applied the First Amendment to all speech, even that which others consider biased, prejudiced, or hateful.  It is also the basis for the legality of flag-burning, neo-nazi demonstrations and other forms of radicalism.  Not sure why the Trademark office tried to regulate "objectionable" phrases.  I would hardly call this decision a defeat for liberals.

    • RE: How stories propagate in the media.. shocking

      Hard to comment since you give no clue about what the story is about.  The only thing I can offer is that major news outlets often rely on news services for their reporting, especially in other countries.  It is usually attributed such as AP, UPI or Rueters.  More details?

    • RE: How much does it cost do have children via surrogacy today?

      Apparently:
      "Circle Surrogacy is proud to provide a full line of surrogacy and egg donation programs. In general, the cost for gestational surrogacy (including all agency fees, attorneys' fees, screening and surrogate fees, and medical and insurance costs) ranges from around $100,000 to $150,000, depending the program chosen."

      Super frustrated by this thread and the attitude of our moderator regarding his role.  He should be here to literally "moderate" the discussions by diffusing useless flaming.  But he is set in his ways.  Resistance is futile.

      We see it here in various threads.

      Seriously, please clarify. what is the "it" you refer to?  If it is sutieday and Frederick going after each other like two pre-menstrual bitches, then both are at fault.  And Raphjd, you are noticeably silent when faced with facts–-like the "Trumptard" vs ""libtard" statistics.

    • RE: Why won’t Donald Trump rush to tweet criticism of attacks against Muslims?

      None of us here are the President. And while he does not need to comment on every event in the world, he has been quick to condemn attacks that are perpetrated by radical islamists, usually within hours of the events, even before they are linked to terrorism.  He takes the occasion to justify his travel ban.  He seems uninterested in any events that don't support his agenda and overall world-view.
      That was the point of the OP, and no ad hominem attacks can change the underlying facts.

      @raphjd:

      If I started enforcing the rules in the way liberals want, you'd be crying on the help desk far more than you guys do now.

      This feels very much like you're drawing an assumption, in the belief it absolves you from doing your job.  It doesn't.

      @raphjd:

      Oddly, liberals violate the rules as much, if not more, than the conservatives but complain about the rules not being followed/enforced almost exclusively.

      This is observationally untrue, but since you made the claim, go ahead and share the method by which you can prove it.  Or, are we back to alternative facts?

      I guess if he's the mod, he knows who's doing the complaining. Oh, and FAKE NEWS

      There is a difference between reporting posts to the moderator, reporting the moderator to the help desk, and flooding the forum with insults.  Raphjd has apparently conflated all three.

      Here's some objective evidence.  Before these words were banned, "Trumptard" was used 19 times in this forum, while "libtard" was used 140 times.  How can you really state there is no difference between the groups?
