            It's also the case that homophobes are often people who are covering up something in their own lives.  
            For instance, in Canada, there was this 60 year old "Safety Minister" who was constantly railing against people who worked in adult entertainment, especially gay ones.   Well.. this 60 year old.. who was supposed to be a devout Mennonite (sort of like Amish) with a solid marriage.. was screwing a 15 year old girl.  He got caught by his wife, she filed for divorce, and he quickly resigned in 2013.  His name is Vic Toews.

              But it's funny that a leftist hates gays when leftists are supposedly the "good" guys.

              It was a Labour how gave gays business contracts, but it was the Tories who gave us equal marriage.

                  You are dodging the point of that message.   The demoboobs would have everyone believe that they are the party that is supportive of homosexuality, while the conservatives are the homophobes.  Nonsense!

                  By the way.. it never occurred to me why gay people would want to get married.. I found a good reason while surfing the internet today… by being married, it eliminates the "shame" factor for a lot of gay people.   I would suppose that being married also gives the impression that people are monogamous instead of boning someone different every night of the week.

                    Yea, I mean, when you say "tell me how conservatives are homophobes", you are absolutely implying that there is no conservative homophobia. Or that liberals deserve the brunt of the issue.

                        I will admit my ignorance of UK politics, but I wonder how closely the liberal/conservative lines there parallel those in the US.  Can you name a liberal in the US against gay rights?  Google couldn't.

                            OMG! She changed her opinion on gay marriage after 15 years!  If we pointed out every time Trump contradicted one of his previous tweets, there would be no room for anything else in this forum. The country and SCOTUS evolved on the issue in that time.

                              LibDem  are basically the SJW party and their leader is a homophobe.

                              Labour has turned into a quasi communist party under it's current leader.    The top 3 people in the party support terrorism.  They refuse to condemn their praise of the IRA's terrorism and they are quick to downplay muslim terrorism.    Usually, they are like the Democrats.

                              Tories are the conservative party.  It's pretty much just like the Republicans, with a lot of views on issues.

                                I can see why you are a conservative.  Perhaps, if I lived in Britain I would be too.  But in the US, I find it difficult to align myself with most conservatives here.

                                  I'm actually a classic liberal, but I refuse to call myself a liberal due to the bullshit identity politics we've seen over the last 15 or so years.

                                  Also, as an egalitarian, I despise feminism.
