@lololulu19
Oh, I thought that as long as I am seeding it should show I am uploading regardless of other users having interest or not (not that I manage to raise my ratio even if I seed new freeleech torrents, but that's another story)

Website shows no uploading torrents even when seeding
As the title suggests, I just noticed that even though my qbitorrent is open and I am seeding torrents from this website, when I log in it shows that a am nor uploading nor downloading* any torrents at the moment.
Sadly I've noticed it only just now, so I don't know how long it has been going for.
Any ideas of what can I do or what should I check?
I've tried downloading a torrent yesterday and it worked fine, so the problem is either with the seeding itself or the website failing to recognize I am doing so.Thanks in advance!
*To be fair, I really am not downloading anything at the moment, so it may not be part of the bug.

RE: Question About Using Bonus Points
@eobox91103 said in Question About Using Bonus Points:
but set your torrent client to only download maybe 10% of the files.
First of all, thanks for your reply and for the tip!
I tried once downloading only part of a torrent and it acted as if I'm still downloading the torrent even after I started seeding. Is there a way to fix that? -
Question About Using Bonus Points
I wasn't sure which sub category is right for this question so I hope it's okay I'm posting it here.
I have troubling seeding sufficiently and increasing my ratio, so I worry that if I'll download another torrent it will reduce me to <1 ratio. Luckily, I have relatively many bonus points to use. The thing is, I'm not sure how to use them:
If I purchase the 2.5gb uploaded for example, does it mean I have 2.5gb I can download without it effecting my ratio, or does it mean that my ratio will change as if I have uploaded 2.5gb of content to the site? Thanks in advance

RE: Ports fowarded but no seeding
@vmalar I'm not entirely sure what a seedbox is.
Should I get a VPN in general or is it mainly for the seeding? -
RE: Ports fowarded but no seeding
Hey @bi4smooth, thanks for the detailed answer!
So if I understood you correctly my ISP can realize I'm seeding torrents and block this site's specific ip correct? Shouldn't I get a message that they are blocking one of my actions? (it's kind of rude).
I'll try changing the ports and hopefully it will help, though for some reason I never managed to forward ports without manually opening the router AND adding an exception in the firewall for these ports (in addition to the qbittorrent ones).
I actually thought about buying a VPN but many people told me it's not really necessary and can even slow down my internet (which is crappy as it is due to old infrastructure). Do you have any recommendations?
Oh, one thing I should mention, yesterday I found out that one torrent did manage to seed a bit. I don't know what made it special since it is still the only one, but maybe it means the problem is elsewhere? Thanks again!

Ports fowarded but no seeding
This may be a common problem but none of the other posts I've seen fitted my current conditions.
In the recent days I've noticed no peers are connecting to the torrents I'm seeding. Even though my ports are forwarded and testing in canyouseeme.com comes out okay, no one in the swarm connects to my any seeding. I do however manage to seed on other websites.
The problem is that it is effecting my ratio and from 3.0 I've fallen down to almost 1.0
I've been using this site for a while now and seeding was never an issue but now all of a sudden it is
I use qBittorrent ver.4.3.4.1 on a Windows 10 64 bit machine
Thanks in advance -
Accidentally spent points at the bonus points store
Hello,
I recently upload my first torrent (hooray) and got the bonus points reward.
Yesterday I wanted to use the points but I forgot how and lost the guide, so while wandering through the profile I found the bonus points store. The thing is, that with my high wisdom I thought that you click for each thing you did (e.g. uploaded xGB or successfully invited someone) to get the reward points and not the other way around. When I realized my mistake, I've already spent around 465 points on things I didn't want (I think I bought two 1Gb download, one 5Gb download and one Invite). Is there a way to refund me and take the things I accidentally bought?
I made sure not to download anything so I won't accidentally trigger the rewards. Thanks in advance and sorry for the idiotic mistakeÂ

Three questions regarding first time upload
Hey,
I'm about to create and upload my first torrent (yay) and I'm a little bit completely paranoid, so they might be a bit silly questions, but I would still appreciate an answer:1. Major paranoia, but how can I protect myself when creating and uploading the torrent? I'm worried about fingerprints and what not because downloading a torrent is one thing, but creating one is a whole different story. (Plus I signed up to the site with a gmail account, I don't know if I should've used a more protected email (if there is such)
2. I have 35 videos I intend to upload. Is it better to divide the torrent to multiple parts or should I send it as a one huge mega torrent (especially considering the first upload reward that I'm not sure if I need to upload a 10GB worth of content or not)
3. After uploading, will it help if I use another computer to seed it from there too, or since it would still be the same user it won't do any difference?
Thanks in advance

RE: A massive drop of ratio after one torrent
Thank you for all your tips!
I still didn't download more than 1 gb, but I understand that downloading heavier files (such as 555 photos) can affect my ratio so much.
If I may, I have a newer problem (and even a more critical one). Because I am a horsemen of the Apocalypse when it comes to technology. I managed to fuck things up and had to reinstall windows completely, thus losing all of my torrents and files for seeding*.
It may come a bit selfish, but for the sake of my account, my first priority is to bump up my ratio once again to a "safe zone" (because between my last message and this one, my ratio dropped to 2.6). How do you recommend to do so?
Of course I want to seed because it's the right thing to do, but being banned won't help anyone.*Technically I do have one file left on another computer, but I won't be able to reach it until Tusday

A massive drop of ratio after one torrent
Hello,
I'm quite new here, but in the few days I've been here I tried to seed as much as possible, even when I'm not downloading.
It got to the point where my ratio was 64.x and I was very proud of myself (for the record, my UL is 2.08 GB and my dl is 799.74 MB)
Less than three hours ago, I've downloaded a torrent without much popularity (around 26 peers). Since then my ratio had dropped to a whooping 2.6, meaning a decreace of 97% of my ratio. Now since the torrent doesn't have a high demand, there aren't any peers downloading off my, so I fear my ratio will only go down from here.Any advice will be appreciated, thanks in advance

RE: Hairy hole what's the best way to shave?
As someone with a (really) hairy ass, I can feel the frustration.
I myself don't like that I'm hairy there, and in the short time I did try hookups, most of the people wanted me to shave it.
I used to go through hoops and strech myself to reach as much as possible, but it was hard and insufficient.
The problem with a hairy hole is that during penetration, some hairs can get pulled it and it hurts like hell. It hurts so much that I have to stop the act, go to the bathroom to let everything out, relax, and then try again. In addition, lube never holds up.I once tried to shave it all, but it was extremely itchy the day after (I had to cut off early and lay on bed with some soothing lotion). Nair helps a bit, but for the hole itself I need my bf and even that lasts for a limited time only. I thought about leaser but a. it's expensive, b. it's emberassing, and c. two days before you have to shave it all down and "wear loose clothing without underwear to prevent pain and itch". I study at a respectable university so even if I had such clothes, I couldn't go like that to school.
TL;DR - Fuck my hairy life

RE: Seeding a torrent that has no demand
There won't be much demand for a torrent a day after the freeleech ends and even if there were, there are likely to be a lot of seeders. However, there are plenty of torrents with only one or two seeders. Occasionally someone will download them. Part of what makes a torrent site useful is being able to download torrents that aren't currently popular, whether it is older classic films on a site like thepiratebay or specific fetish porn on sites like gt.ru.
If you are keeping the video on your computer anyway, it doesn't require any significant resources to continue seeding it, except that when someone actually downloads it from you, it uses internet bandwidth.
When I am the only seeder or one of just a few seeders of a torrent and I no longer want to keep the video, I usually make it freeleech to give it a better chance to survive.
Hey,
Thanks for the advice! If I looked at it correctly, there are 45 more people seeding with me, so I'll give it a day or two more.
One of the reasons I'm a bit stressed is because my computer acts up even though it's less than two months old, so I'm a bit paranoid, and this is a torrent I'm not going to save all of it's files after the seeding (it's about 25 videos at different lengths), so this was the one on thin ice. But since it's not taxing as you say, I'll do make the effort of giving it a bit more. -
RE: Seeding a torrent that has no demand
Hi–
First off, it's very refreshing to hear questions about "how am I a good contributor to the site?" rather than "how can I get as much out of this as I can?"Â Ultimately, of course, you get as much out as you put in, but I digress.
Here's what I do for "no leecher" torrents, and why: If a torrent has nobody leeching it, I'll keep it for a few days because someone might come along who hasn't checked into the site recently and want the material. If there are still a large number of other seeders, I might delete it earlier.
If I'm the only person seeding it, I tend to hang on a bit longer, because it I delete the torrent, then it's "dead" on the system and nobody can get it.
As for taxing resources, I don't think having a "no leecher" torrent staying active is a drain on the gt.ru site, but a moderator can weigh in here and correct me as appropriate. As for whether it's taxing your computer, I tend to think not. With a Windows machine you can go to the task manager and see how much memory and processor is being used by your torrent client...most likely, it's not very much, and you have plenty of resources left for other applications. It might be interesting to do a test, and compare the resources before and after deleting a bunch of unused torrents.
One other consideration is whether a torrent is consuming one of your allocated/limited-by-the-system download slots: If you have selected only some of the files in a torrent to download (not all of them), even after those files complete and your torrent client shows 100% completed, the system will still show you as downloading this torrent, because you haven't captured all of it. If you find that you can't start downloading from a new torrent because you've reached your cap, you can fix this by deleting torrents where you've only snatched some of the files. Note that it can take the tracker up to 30 minutes (I think) to recognise that you've deleted the partial torrent and then let you start the new one.
I hope this helps. Welcome to the site, and happy viewing ;D
Hey,
Thank you for the kind words! I admit that I didn't used to be a seeder (in my defense I young and stupid), but aside from how easy it is to seed, if I'm a part of a community I want to behave good (especially considering the difficulty of obtaining the goods here).Anyhow, I can know how many seeders are out there by looking at the number of the swarm in the seeders line on bittorrent, right? If that's true then I have 45 other people with me, so I'll follow your advice and give it a day or two more.
For the taxination, you're probably right. It's just my computer acts up even though it's less than 2 months old so I'm paranoid. Thanks for your help, and once again for your good words! ;D

Seeding a torrent that has no demand
Hey,
I'm sorry if that is a common question, I'm new at this and didn't find an answer in the FAQ or similar one in the forum's search engine.I've downloaded a freeleech torrent and immediately started seeding it. For the first two hours or so, it had a good demand and seeded about 20% of the torrent itself, but afterwards, probably because the freeleech has ended, the uploading stopped and there have been no demand at all.
At the time of writing this post I've been seeding for 39 hours total, which means that for 37 hours I didn't upload a thing.
Now I'm not familiar with the etiquette or how seeding works, but is there a point in continuing to seed it? I'm worried that it takes resources from my computer that I could use for other things (plus I'm already seeding two more torrents, one from this site and one not, so they are also taxing my computer). Then again, I've heard that if there is no demand then it won't take any bandwidth (but still it means that the computer searches for peers and keeps running this program, no?).Thanks in advance
