There have been some updates to the system, however we cannot confirm as of yet whether or not these issues were addressed with the latest round of updates. We know that the issue with pictures not loading has been resolved, but there is no information at this time about this particular issue. Has anyone experienced it in the last few days?

RE: Is this right?
It is really hard to say whether or not you have your port forwarding setting correct based on the screen cap…. The reason being you cannot upload something to users who are not downloading the torrent. With no leechers, there is nobody in which to transfer any material to.

RE: Question about torrents and screenshots/covers
If you're using a Windows based computer, you can always pull up the PDF (or whatever format it's in), so as do display it on your screen, then press the Print Screen key on your keyboard. From there, you can paste the screen dump into a program like Paint, then crop the result to just the section that displays the content… Then, simply save the resulting image, and you have yourself a reasonable image to upload to accurately depict the content.

RE: There's need to be an announcement in the Home page regarding the server outage
This issue has been identified and fixed…

RE: What exactly is a - ahem! - snatch?
Yes… We call it the BitTorrent glossary. It can be found under the Guides section of the forum in the sticky topics.

RE: Question about torrents and screenshots/covers
Yes… If that is what the true content of the torrent is, then pictures of the pages showing the text would be accepted, as they're considered to be an accurate representation of the contents of the torrent.

RE: What exactly is a - ahem! - snatch?
Hahahahaha… I've always thought this term was rather giggle worthy, as a snatch is synonym for vagina.
Now in the case of this site, when you "snatch" a torrent, you are said to have finished downloading 100% of all the files of the torrent.

RE: Category
As is mentioned in the QTM thread, this is a known issue with users who are running on Windows 10 64-bit.
If this is a different problem than outlined, you need to uninstall and reinstall QTM properly. If the problem still continues, then you can always use the manual upload process.

RE: System counting torrent files???
A number of users have recently reported this very issue. It does not seem to affect their ratio, so I wouldn't be too worried about it.

RE: Do Pdf files work well with utorrent? If not is there any alternatives?
You can make a torrent of any kind of file you so wish… They all work just the same.

RE: 122 torrents in 24 hours?
If your password was compromised, it can take up to 6 hours for the person who got in to be forcefully logged back out. For this reason, changing your passkey one more time should now finish securing your account and stop this problem once and for all.

RE: Can someone reset my account?
I have gone ahead and reset your account for you. I have also gone one step further as to ensure that you shouldn't have this problem again.
In future, you may get a faster response in the helpdesk with this type of inquiry.

RE: 122 torrents in 24 hours?
In a case like this, I strongly recommend you change both your password and your passkey. This sounds like either someone has gotten ahold of your account password, or possibly has even gotten ahold of your passkey directly. Changing both your password and passkey will ensure that your account is secure and that no such activity can continue.

RE: Frequent certificate errors when accessing gaytorrent.ru
I believe I ran into this once before. When I cleared my browser's cache, then completely restarted it, the problem seemed to fix itself.
Also, I had to ensure that my computer's date, time, and time zone settings were all set correctly. The combination of the two things seemed to make the problem go away.

My HIV Team
There's a relatively new site that has been launched specifically for people who are HIV+. It's more or less the social network support for people who are HIV+. It is called My HIV Team.

RE: Duplicates
Oh… Yes... You get a PM for each one. If it's just one here and there, we generally don't do anything. Also, if the duplicates are all older and harder to find torrents, we also generally don't do much. If however it seems like every last upload that you're uploading is not only flooding the new torrent uploads, but is almost damn near all duplicates, then we generally step in and start taking action.
As a general rule though, you don't have much to be worried about with duplicates if you're making an honest effort to contribute, but just happen to hit a few duplicates along the way.

RE: Ca't upload - same as others, "The site is down for maintenance"
There appears to be some issues as of late with the site in general. I'm not sure if we'll really have any information on this any time soon.
-
RE: Site maintenance
Yes… The site owner is doing updates and bug fixes. This can take some time.

RE: Duplicates
If the torrent is removed for being a duplicate, the user receives a PM asking them to keep seeding the torrent until it reads "unregistered torrent". This is to allow any users who may be currently downloading the torrent to finish doing so, while preventing any new users from beginning the download.
The other reason they often disappear is due to DMCA requests. When this happens, again, the user is notified by PM to advise them of which torrent was removed, and that it was removed due to a DMCA request. In this type of case, the torrent is removed immediately, even if there are other users downloading the torrent.
In both cases, the user is notified to tell them that their torrent has been or will be taken down, and the reason why it is being taken down. So yes… In either event, the uploader is made aware of the situation, whatever it may be.

RE: Upload error
This error happens for one of two reasons… Reason #1... There is one or more unsupported characters in the filenames of the contents.
The second reason is that there are too many files in the collection, which sometimes happens with larger collections. If this is the case, I suggest putting any picture sets into ZIP files so that it reduces the number of files. As long as video files themselves are not in an archive format such as ZIP or RAR, you should be good to go.
