Define valid news source... At this day and age, it's sad to say that much like us up in Canada, the mainstream media is nothing more but a propaganda puppet for the government. If it's not completely fabricated to cause outrage, it's at the very least incredibly biased, and only pushes the narrative that the real powers that run our countries want to push.

In other words, "valid news source" is laughable to say the least.

@Rotron I don't know just how bad you have things in the United States, but here in Canada, that's a very dangerous line to walk. See, not that long ago here in Canada, we had the largest protest in Canadian history take place right in downtown Ottawa. Our "valid news sources" all were trying to downplay it, only delivering a sliver of the truth, while completely trying to spin everything else and dismiss it as being just a small thing, were trying to dismiss it completely, or were trying to pass the actions of only a very small number in that group as representing the values of the group as a whole, as it did not fall in line with the agenda that the government (or more particularly, the higher power that plays the government officials like puppets) was trying to push. On social media on the other hand, there were a plethora of live streams exposing this very thing. In many cases, the "valid news sources" were trying to push a narrative that simply did not exist, or that was seriously different from the actual reality, and had it not been for the many, many people who were live streaming what was actually happening to compare it to what the mainstream media was trying to push, this would not have been exposed nearly to the extent that it was, if at all.

The same thing happens in the United States, although to what degree, I do not know. It has been happening for some time now, but because these sources are said to have credibility in journalism (if you really want to call it that), people blindly buy into what they're trying to pedal, without realizing that these sources have now all been bought and paid for to push a narrative that fits their agenda, often without questioning it.

Another alarming issue we have with the other "alternative" sources such as Facebook and YouTube is that there have been a number of things now that I can think of off the top of my head where the "valid news sources" fell completely silent on, and sources like Facebook and Twitter actually took down content under the guise of it being "misinformation" simply because it did not fit the narrative that the government (who has effectively bought and paid for the mainstream media to be their propaganda mills) wanted to push.

One of the most powerful instances I can think of is a video titled "Died Suddenly", which is a well put together documentary done by a number of coroners who have banded together to speak out about new and interesting things that they're finding that they cannot explain, have never seen before the COVID vaccine came out, and have been told by their superiors to remain silent on. The interesting part about this documentary in particular is that I have a few coroner friends who I have shown this video to, who have all said they've been finding the exact same things in patients even here in Canada, but have been told to keep these findings hush hush. This video has been removed from Facebook and YouTube several times now under the guise of "false information", and yet the mainstream media in both Canada and the US are completely silent about its findings. It seems that freedom of speech only applies if the speech you are speaking falls in line with the agenda that the powers that really control the government are trying to push.

The whole situation surrounding this video and the lack of coverage in the mainstream media only further confirms my view that the mainstream media is but a propaganda mill that is intended to push a narrative as defined by their government officials who have bought and paid for them, and have also themselves been sold out to the highest bidder. Things like this are actually why the Canadian government is trying so hard to push bill C-10 to limit and censor things like social media because if things like this become too wide spread, it would seriously damage their plan to push the narrative that they want to push, especially if people are allowed to continue to express views (and even facts) that do not fit the narrative they want to push.

So yes... At this day and age, alternative information sources have unfortunately become a bit of a necessity in order to get to the truth, instead of just the heavily biased narrative that the powers that be want people to buy into. Simply put, alternative means of communication and sharing ideas have become necessary in more recent times in order to stop the propaganda and speak the actual truth.

There are a few things to consider... First, if you stop then restart the torrent for any reason, the stats in your profile against the torrent will reset to zero as they show the current session stats and not the total stats like your torrent client does. Second, your torrent client only updates with the tracker once every 30 minutes. For this reason, there is a delay in the stats being updated to the site, which can cause what may appear to be a discrepancy.

@opengls This is a sign that you are being blocked by the DDoS protection software and may need to use a VPN to get around the issue in order to connect to the tracker.

@raphjd The same thing is happening now in Canada too. Our idiot stick of a prime minister opened the flood gates of immigration a few years back, and it's now to a point where it seems that there are more immigrants (many from places like India, Syria, and Nepal) than there are people who were born and raised here for generations. Sadly, this too includes illegals coming in en mass taking up much needed resources from the people who have been here their whole lives for generations. It's almost as though we've adopted a policy of we care about you if you're from somewhere else, but if you were born and raised here for generations, you just don't matter.

In fact, even in the city I live in now, we have setup all kinds of affordable or otherwise government subsidized housing for immigrants (most of which are from Syria) who are without papers and therefore cannot work, while simultaneously pushing out the people who were born and raised here for generations. Not far from the downtown core, there is actually a "tent city" as us locals are calling it, which consists of what was a vacant lot that has been filled with all kinds of tents that now homeless people are living in. Sadly, many of them have some sort of drug problem, which only makes matters worse on so many levels.

For the people in places like the tent city that has been setup, who have all been born and raised here for generations, there is little to no support and resources available to get help and find affordable or otherwise subsidized housing, but yet a matter of only a few blocks away now sits the largest government subsidized housing complex in the city, and it is almost exclusively illegal immigrants, many of which are trying to claim refugee status.

They are not on the banned list, however it may be possible that they submit DMCA takedown requests.

@lololulu19 Having been legitimately suicidal before, I can field this one... When you're in a low enough state to commit suicide, you don't think about others. The only thing you actually CAN think about is how much you want your depression and sadness to end. You don't think of how people will find the body, or how anyone is going to respond to the news. Literally, the ONLY thing you can think about is how much you just want an end to your emotional suffering. About the only thing you MIGHT think of is about what you'll put in a note so that people will at least understand WHY you did it. Anything outside of that doesn't even cross your mind when you're in that kind of a low place.

I can use the BROWSE feature and to download torrents, but when I use the SEARCH feature, I can't find any way of downloading any torrents.

Check your phone's settings. If you swipe down twice, somewhere in the list of icons you should see an option for rotation. You need to make sure that this is enabled to be able to use your phone in landscape mode. When you tilt your phone, it should automatically change over if this option is enabled.

As for gaytorrent.ru and gaytor.rent, it is the same site, run on the same database. The same login you use on .ru will work on .rent. The only real difference is the VM that actually run the server daemon itself. All information is pulled from the same database though, so there is not much of a difference between the two domains.

@Thesock Usually this kind of thing happens when your torrent client reports data to the tracker after the freeleech has ended on the torrent. See, your torrent client only updates with the tracker once every 30 minutes for each torrent. Even though your torrent client may have completed the torrent BEFORE the period expired, if the data is not reported to the tracker until after the freeleech has ended, the traffic can end up getting counted towards your totals.

In your case, the timeline works as follows:

24 hour freeleech: 2023-09-11 09:02:23
Freeleech end: 2023-09-12 09:02:23
Torrent completed: 2023-09-12 14:22:27
24 hour freeleech: 2023-09-12 16:45:12

So.... Any data reported to the tracker between 2023-09-12 09:02:23 and 2023-09-12 16:45:12 would have been counted towards your totals. This is not a glitch. This is how it's always been.
