It depends on the circumstances really. The first question I would ask is Would I be in Danger if I told him I was gay? If the answer is Yes then I would distance myself from him. I would not want that person in my life and shouldn't have to hide who I am because he is afraid.

If the answer is no I would tell him, see if he can accept me for who I am and maybe cast aside his jaded views. If he can't? Well it is his loss not mine, I don't want someone like that in my life.

It is great news to hear, I was rather worried about this vote as ROI is mostly Catholic. It is great to see its passed, sadly the U.S is not going to look at most of the world going this way. Sadly the USA has far too many religious nut jobs. No offense intended to anyone.

It doesn't really matter to me. I find personality the most attractive thing in a man. On the other side though I will admit I find some races more sexually attractive than others. I don't actively pass by the ones I find less attractive, hell… I just love men. When push comes to shove though if I like the guy on a personal level it doesn't matter if they are black, white, Latino, oriental or purple... I do draw the line at Orange though lol

Personally I would rather see them split up. However as a crazy idea why not provide both options? Then people can choose which one they want?

Maybe slightly off topic, I am 238lbs and love slim / defined / muscular guys…. only issue is they don't like me.  Previously I was happy with my weight, its me and I do like good food. However recently I have been dieting, lost a stone so far because I often feel that no man (Thats my type) will ever want me being this weight. I guess the social stigma kind of explains its really.

Typically the type of guys you are looking for are hard to find as they don't submerge themselves in the gay lifestyle. They don't go to all the usual places. Most of my gay friends are the same as me really. I just kind of wanted to let you know that there are those of us that do exist and what you are feeling is perfectly normal.

I met my boyfriend 10 years ago (I know not the typical 3 to 6 month relationship) I met him through a female work colleague. We actually liked each other and thought we were both straight. It had come up in conversation with my work colleague and she quizzed me on if I liked him. I think she almost had heart attack when I said I did and "Why are all the good guys straight".

I think that is a good generalization, naturally not all guys will fit into that.  I am more bottom and think you described me really well. Appart from the being accepted thing, however I think those sections are mostly a cultural thing that we don't seem to get in the UK.
