A good practice is just to leave your finished downloads to seed as much as possible.

Also, you can download and seed "Freeleech" torrents that have many leechers. This will not count against your download but will count against your upload
(Be aware of how many hours/minutes does a torrent have being freeleech)

All that being said, for some reason (I don't know why), there are (very long) periods of time where no matter how much I seed or how many leeches does a torrent have, I am unable to seed properly or at all

To this day, it happened to me 3 times. One time I don't remeber the details to be honest, So I will elaborate on 2 of them:

I use a paid software called Wondershare Uniconverter 13.
It has the option to download videos from websites and it does a pretty good job at that.
Some websites are not supported, and some, like OF, require some effort to download.

1. Open the video on OF.
2. Open the Developer Tools
3. Select the video elemnt on the page
4. Copy the src attribute to the clipboard
5. Use Wondershare downloader menu to download the link

To be honest, for the most part of my life I've been unaware of the cruising signals that you might get while in the stall (foot tapping or sliding under the stall etc...). WMP main issue for me is its inabilitiy to display subtitles (.srt) automatically, I need to tweak with the codecs to display them.
Another minor issue is that it supports less video formats, but overall it has a simple UI and it gets the job done

VLC I use when:

1. as mentioned above, some videos are not supported by WMP
2. Use of keyboard shortcuts to fast forward and jump between tracks
