Absolutely, there's something people aren't mentioning about a couple of differences in straight and gay porn.
Straight men can watch gay porn and identify with the men's bodies the way they can't identify with women's bodies. It's rare to see straight porn that focuses on the man's emotions or desires. (One of the reasons that lesbians are also likely to enjoy gay porn.) Sex tends to be depicted as something that is done to a women rather than something that is done with a woman.
Gay porn is going to show what it feels like for a man to get a blowjob- or to fuck - or even to get fucked. The guys are more likely to be persons than anonymous penises.
This isn't that all straight porn avoids male-identification; and I've seen a lot of gay porn without faces or personalities. It's just what's more likely to be found. (According to straight friends - they've never seen straight porn that involves the performers talking before or after about the scene. That's something pretty common in things like Corbin Fisher or Bound Gods.)
