I totally get it. I don't feel a connection to the LGBT community anymore.
All sorts of people were welcomed in the name of acceptance but few questioned whether they had genuine intentions or were even mentally stable. Now there's a large group of mentally unstable people who refuse to deal with their issues projecting onto society, and another large group of evil human beings running the show.
Transitioning is being presented as some form of cure-all but wait until a large number of people transition their children who would otherwise not grow up to be trans, the whole movement will go down in flames. It has been shown by multiple peer-reviewed studies that a large percentual of gays and lesbians are gender non-conforming as children.
It is sad that medical research in the subject is being discouraged at the moment but in 10-15 years there will be a large number of sterilized and mutilated adults absolutely enraged at what was done to them and not afraid to speak up.

What we're seeing is sheltered activism. Most activists in the West are privileged and oblivious to the realities outside of their high-income realities so they overestimate their own impact in the world.
I'm all for taking steps to alleviate climate breakdown, but if China can build a hospital in just a few days, I'm sure their communist dictatorship could clean up the country's pollution and force a total change to renewables in just a few years.
But of course, no one cares about the world's worst polluter, it's the small countries that really need to act fast, right?
I think the mob mentality is slowly being exposed for what it is and decent left-of-centre people will realize there is a point where it is no longer activism but sociopathy and toxic hatred.
Why would you talk about someone like this? Or better yet, felt the need to even share this.

I read her book last week, it's actually quite good if you're interested in pop culture.
She is/was extremely talented (see her 2001 AMA's performance) but her vocal technique and repertoire weren't the best. Her music career was mismanaged, but she ended up building a successful fashion empire.
If it were more than a fringe, mainly from people even older than I am, i'd worry about the infighting during a time where there is a very strong anti-LGBT worldwide movement.
It's disappointed that there are people who don't know our past and don't understand our present but I'm going tom keep working with the groups that are inclusive and I'll just ignore the ones who aren't.
There won't be any infighting because gays, lesbians and bisexuals are simply becoming apathetic and moving on with their lives.
I support the trans community but I see a failure in filtering out the bad apples and the nonsense, as well as a general lack of willingness to reconcile.

It was like that with my family but they got used to it over time. It's a non-issue now.
Working out is important but I'd agree diet is 75% of it. I used to jog frequently but my diet was terrible and I gained a TON of weight over a short period of time. Became unmotivated and stopped with the workouts. Then after a year I focused on dieting alone and lost 50 lbs fairly quick just calorie counting and balancing meals. Haven't gained any of that back and it's been 2 years. Now I've started light workouts to build out healthy muscle.

Canada has multiple levels of taxation, there's a federal goods and services tax (GST) and provincial sales tax (PST). These would be equivalent to the VAT.
Where I live there's no provincial tax on natural gas but some provinces charge PST and others charge the "carbon tax" on top of that. And oh yes the federal government charges the GST on natural gas regardless of where you live.
With exceptions like fuel, the federal government can't tax natural resources as it's under provincial jurisdiction but they are trying hard to impose a "carbon tax" on provinces to virtue signal and ensure a steady flow of revenue for their vanity projects under the disguise of "environmental concern".
Liberal policies are reverse Robin Hood schemes. It's a shame so many people believe in their crap, but I guess it takes a while for people to realize they are being fooled.
Anyway, crimes like this make me think we should reinstate the death penalty in Canada.
Actually, Canadians support the death penalty at the same rate (1% less) as Americans. Just shy of 2/3rd of Americans and Canadians (65% and 64% respectively) support the the death penalty.
True… in theory we could bring back the death sentence in Canada through Parliament... in theory.

White South Africans are failing to get their message across, Westerns are not sympathetic to the whole "farmer murders" thing.
They need to inform the West that they're not the only minority suffering in South Africa. Unite with other minorities that are treated like shit by the current Bantu government - coloureds, Indigenous peoples and immigrants from elsewhere in Africa and get them to tell their stories.
If possible adopt an anti-Western instance.
Unfortunately in today's world real suffering is not enough. Social justice is most effectively countered using the same language.
