    • RE: Georgia trans person faces more than 50 child sex abuse felonies following arrest at daycare

@raphjd Oh, you caught me again trying to push my secret pro-rapist agenda. Clever, boy! </sarcasm>

The gist of your statements here, as well as the multitude of other posts within this Forum, is "Trans people rape and molest." That statement is as prejudiced as the statement, "Black people steal."

You're ascribing the actions of singular individuals to an entire group of people that share some common trait with the individual, with no causal argument linking that common trait with the actions of the individual. You don't even think you need a causal argument, because you're a transphobe who thinks all trans people are deviants. You think its just "common sense" or a priori true that transexualism causes rape/molestation tendencies.

You assume that causal connection and that's why we all call you and your sock puppets on here who agree with you in your little echo chamber here, transphobes.

    • RE: Detransitioner speaks

How common is transgender treatment regret, detransitioning?

HOW OFTEN DO TRANSGENDER PEOPLE REGRET TRANSITIONING?

In updated treatment guidelines issued last year, the World Professional Association for Transgender Health said evidence of later regret is scant, but that patients should be told about the possibility during psychological counseling.

Dutch research from several years ago found no evidence of regret in transgender adults who had comprehensive psychological evaluations in childhood before undergoing puberty blockers and hormone treatment.

Some studies suggest that rates of regret have declined over the years as patient selection and treatment methods have improved. In a review of 27 studies involving almost 8,000 teens and adults who had transgender surgeries, mostly in Europe, the U.S and Canada, 1% on average expressed regret. For some, regret was temporary, but a small number went on to have detransitioning or reversal surgeries, the 2021 review said.

Research suggests that comprehensive psychological counseling before starting treatment, along with family support, can reduce chances for regret and detransitioning.

I see you're using the same science scientists used when they noted that Dahmer and Gacy existed and therefore, determined that all white males are serial killer cannibals. That logic holds.

For being the folks supposedly devoted to "individual responsibility," you right-wingers sure do love to group blame.

@raphjd said in Tucker Carlson is terminated from FOX News:

A couple of reports I read said that News Corps/Fox News would pay out his remaining contract; $20 mill per year remaining.
That's according to "a source inside Fox News".
That doesn't sound like he's been fired.

That's the beauty of a well-crafted employment contract. Even if you're fired, they still have to pay you until the time period terms are up.

Think of it like an apartment lease. If you move out before your lease is up, you're still obligated to pay rent even if you aren't living there anymore.

    • RE: Dem Presidential Candidate says: Tucker fired over Big Pharma, vaxx criticisms

The pharma thing is just Robert Kennedy Jr. nonsense. I also don't believe the Tucker-loves-God-too-much story or the Murdock-kids-want-to-sell stories because if those were the truth, then it would have just been Tucker Carlson alone that was fired. But I understood the facts to be that Carlson and his producer(s) were fired. No need to fire the staff if Carlson alone was the problem.

The suit by the previous show booker isn't merely a hostile work environment sexual harassment suit. She's also alleging that Carlson and his producers suborned perjury by encouraging/threatening her to lie during discovery in the Dominion lawsuit. And she did, in fact, have to amend her depositions in that suit.

Plus, the discovery in the Dominion suit brought forth a lot of Carlson's behind-the-scenes shenanigans that didn't win him any favors with the network, e.g., he regularly called one of the senior executives at FOX a "cunt."

Tucker Carlson was NOT fired from FoxNews. Instead, they mutually agreed to part ways

What is your source for this belief? All sources I've seen report that Carlson didn't even know about the termination until 10 minutes before it happened, and that he's hired the same lawyer/firm as Don Lemon to represent him regarding the firing.

PS. @hubrys far from Tucker being dead, he's just getting started. another Obi Wan situation, like Trump. HAHAHAHhahahhahaha!

I'm sure he's not gone. Already several state-run Russian media outlets have already offered him jobs on their networks via Twitter and Telegram. I guess he can now cut out the middleman and go work for Russia directly instead of just surreptitiously.

Ding dong! The bitch is dead! Which old bitch? This dumb bitch!

I wonder if it was him costing them hundreds of millions of dollars in the Dominion Settlement? Or maybe the fact that FOX is being sued by a former female employee for the hostile work environment sexual harassment on Carlson's show?

I mean, I hope that it was because he's a vile racist, homophobic, xenophobic, and sexist in love with Christian White Nationalism, but it's FOX News. If they fired every bigot working there, then they'd just be left with the lunch ladies in the work cafeteria.

@blablarg18 said in Fox News Settles Defamation Suit for $787.5 Million:

I don't know what stupid Fox may be covering up (by settling - avoids discovery process).

They settled on the eve of the trial. Discovery is and was completed prior to trial. They went thru discovery. Maybe you missed all of the bombshells that came out of the discovery because they didn't penetrate into your conservative news bubble, but the rest of the world now knows a whole lot about how cynically FOX lied to its viewers. That's including your beloved Tucker Carlson, who knowingly lied to his audience and also privately dissed Trump.

@blablarg18 said in When libs lecture right-leaning Christians:

@hubrys You're the guy in the cartoon, aren't you? Not knowing the first thing about Christianity.

LOL! I was born and raised in Pentecostal, evangelical, charismatic protestant church. I've been both Bible camper and Bible camp counselor. When I was a teen, I used to travel to other states to attend Christian conventions. My first college degree involved a focus in the Philosophy of Religion. Unlike some other people who say, "I read the Bible," but only mean they've read some select portions of the Bible, I have in fact read the whole thing. That's everything between "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." and "The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.”

My debates (and occasional shouting matches) with the street preachers on my college campus pulled such crowds that there were magazine articles written about it. Heck, even though I was Atheist by college, sometimes, for the hell of it, I would get up on the stage next to the street preacher and preach a sermon better than them just to embarrass them.

But, @blablarg18, you're never wrong so I guess I don't know the first thing about Christianity.

So your argument is that those who by covenant and conviction have dedicated themselves to being Christ-like shouldn't be called out for being un-Christ-like? If you have to act un-Christ-like to support your politics or lifestyle, then, I'm sorry to inform you, but you're not a Christian. There's no such thing as "Christian When Convenient."

Sorry, but you chose to be a Christian, and we will judge your hypocrisy.

@raphjd said in Is this the smoking gun? Letter from Michael Cohen claiming Donald Trump did NOT reimburse him for hush money paid to Stormy Daniels appears to fly in the face of the star witness's grand jury testimony:

So on one side you are saying that Cohen is a convicted liar and on the other you are saying he should be believed, but only if his testimony is what you want him to say.

That's a nice Catch-22 you've created. Anyone involved in a conspiracy of dishonesty cannot be convicted based on the guilty admissions of their co-conspirators, because those co-conspirators are self-admitted liars.

    • RE: Douglass Mackey case: USA criminalizes memes. Literally.

@blablarg18 said in Douglass Mackey case: USA criminalizes memes. Literally.:

First, you are literally a conspiracy theorist.

No, he was charged with criminal Conspiracy Against Rights. Wow, you are a monumental dumbass! He was literally charged with, and convicted of, C-O-N-S-P-I-R-A-C-Y!

I don't have to be a conspiracy theorist--he was convicted of it. No theory necessary.

"Cadre"? Really? OK what about them? Why aren't they prosecuted?

The criminal complaint listed four co-conspirators, but only by their Twitter ID# (long alpha-numerical string).

So far, journalists have been able to determine that co-conspirator #1 was an alt-right, neo-Nazi and QAnon botmaster only known by his Internet handle "Microchip."

Co-conspirator #2 is Anthime "Baked Alaska" Gionet; a white nationalist arrested for storming the Capitol on Jan.6 and known for having participated in the "Unite the Right" rally in Charlottesville, VA.

Co-conspirator #3 is a pro-Trump far-right activist and propogandist who goes by the Internet handle "Nia."

I don't think the fourth co-conspirator has been identified yet.

The fact that Mackey was successfully prosecuted for Conspiracy likely means that the co-conspirators will be prosecuted as well, since their trials will be easier after the first conviction.

If I had to guess, I'd guess that Gionet would be the next to be prosecuted because they know their identity. Who Microchip and Nia are offline may not yet be known by the government. I believe the government only knew who Mackey was because his real name was outed in a Gab post by white nationalist GOP candidate Paul Nehlen after they had a disagreement.

Prosecution could not show EVEN ONE SINGLE voter whose legit ballot had been affected. Not one.

First, he wasn't charged with altering or tampering with ballots; he was charged with Conspiracy Against Rights, meaning they were alleging his misinformation interfered with people exercising their right to vote. So, why would the prosecution need to present altered or tampered with ballots?

Second, the government could charge Mackey with Conspiracy even if his whole group had failed to achieve any results. Conspiracy does not require a completed or successful other crime in order to be prosecuted. You are being prosecuted for conspiring to commit the other criminal act, not the other criminal act itself. The actus reus that constitutes the crime is the conspiring with others.

Sorry @blablarg18 but Tucker Carlson can try to spin this (and you can continue to mindlessly parrot him) all he wants, but Carlson's just wrong on this one, as he is about a great many things.
