@Yuanpiepie Sorry, the site formatting system changed my last message a bit. The bit in italics should read hunky_arthur with an asterisk at the beginning and end.

RE: Search By Partial Torrent Filenameposted in GayTorrent.ru Discussions
@Yuanpiepie So in your example, searching for hunky_arthur would only return that exact match. By changing it to hunky_arthur* you get everything that begins with hunky_arthur even if it has other characters at the end. You could go further by trying hunky_arthur to allow for matches that perhaps start with [OF]hunky_arthur, or hunky*arthur if you were unsure about the underscore in the middle.

RE: Search By Partial Torrent Filenameposted in GayTorrent.ru Discussions
@Yuanpiepie Look up wildcards in searches. They've been around since the internet as we know it was born. A "*" basically stands for any number of other characters in a string. A "?" represents a single character. Using quotes searches for a specific string rather than each of the individual words. They don't all work on all sites, but the * is pretty universal.

@Yuanpiepie Might I humbly suggest you brush up on searching using wildcards? See if you can spor what I did here...

RE: How is this ok?posted in Chit Chat
@roadcharlie It's not something that I would download myself, but from a voyeur/fetish perspective I don't see why it shouldn't be on the site.
I won't call you crazy though. (Not unless you'd particularly like me to.)

RE: Sorting and renaming downloads by video qualityposted in Non-GT.ru Technical Stuff
@Goodtime9 Check this thread https://community.gaytorrent.ru/topic/64782/stashapp-free-open-source-porn-organizer?_=1713800544885
I've been using Stashdb, and apparently it should be able to rename all my files with a combination of parameters added to the name such as studio, resolution, date, etc. Had no luck so far but I'm sure that's down to me doing something wrong rather than the software as others have said it works for them.

RE: StashApp Free open-source porn organizerposted in Non-GT.ru Technical Stuff
@bigetownky Stash interprets each individual video file as a "scene." The "films" section is intended for organising individual scenes into the full film. For example, you might have all 5 scenes of a DVD as separate files, so what you can do is create a film entry and then add each scene to it. Doing it that way means you can easily search for a particular scene yet still have them grouped together as a single film. You can also add in the DVD covers, description, rating etc for the full DVD while keeping the scene covers and information.
As for getting all the data, it can be a lengthy process. Click on a scene, and then click on EDIT (below the title on the left.) You should then see a blue button with "Scrape with" on it. Click that and select "Stashdb.org" and it will check to see if there's a match in the online database. If there is one you'll get a new popup that shows all the data they have. Check through it all, because sometimes it'll pick up the wrong title or something. If you're happy with everything then just click APPLY. Don't forget to hit SAVE on the left of the screen afterwards. You can do all of this in batches too, but like I said it can be a little bit time consuming at first. It's not too bad as long as you remember to do it ever so often so you're not having to check hundreds of files.
Don't get discouraged if there's no info for the scene you're looking for. Obviously not everything is catalogued yet. There are lots of scrapers you can add, so you can get it to scrape a studio's website rather than the Stash-created one, which is great when you know the source of the video.
I don't pretend to know nearly as much as I'd like to know, but if you join their Discord there are a few really helpful people there. One of the Stash team even spent 3 hours debugging a script that wasn't working for me. (It still doesn't work, or I'm doing something else wrong, but he certainly tried.)

RE: Most of my files are redposted in The Site
@tnar Very odd, since I'm using BiglyBT too, v 3.5.0.0. Haven't changed mine around in ages and not seeing any issues here. Is there an update that perhaps broke something?

RE: What is up with this video???posted in Uploading
@MrMazda Thank you for investigating and taking steps. So it appears that this was just an attempt to keep bumping the upload to the front page? Damned odd, because with such a small file the amount of upload credit to be gained can hardly be worth it.

RE: Most of my files are redposted in The Site
Haven't seen any problems with seeding or leeching at my end.

Well, it disappeared again, and now it's back for yet another go. https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=55eacbbe6873a06b31aab4170a5875fb951817e9c4cbfc39
Anyone in the know able to explain this odd behaviour?

And now the second one has been uploaded again??? https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=d8dcd00edde0c43631aab4170a5875fbd468bd1227fbeabd
Is this just a case of someone trying to game the system by deleting their own torrent and then uploading it again to bump it?

My mistake! It hasn't gone, but the other one of the same guy that was uploaded at the same time has.

RE: What is up with this video???posted in Uploading
... and it's been removed again. I did look at the video itself, and while it's short and rather boring, I find myself still confused about the behaviour. If it's not against site rules (here or elsewhere!) why is it constantly removed, but if it is against site rules then why does it keep getting reposted. Surely if that's the case then you wouldn't expect the uploader to still be here.

What is up with this video???posted in Uploading
This video (https://www.gaytor.rent/details.php?id=b62de8b4067b457731aab4170a5875fb97462877641dcea6) has been bobbing around like an unflushable turd for the last few months, not just on here but also on gay-torrents.net and gay-area.org.
It gets uploaded to these sites over and over again, and seems to keep getting removed for one reason or another, so what's going on? Is it getting removed for breaking rules, and if so why is it showing up over and over again?

RE: Dean Young - OF - particular videoposted in Who Is This/What Video Is This
- Does this really require double-posting in separate forums?
- Sounds suspiciously like an upload request, which are banned sitewide.

RE: StashApp Free open-source porn organizerposted in Non-GT.ru Technical Stuff
@ninesquare Been using it for about a year know. Very good little tool for organising your collection. It's a godsend when it comes to checking to see if I already have something that somebody uploads here though. I often think "I'm sure I've seen that before," and it only takes a couple of seconds with a quick search to confirm if I have it, compared to getting Windows Explorer to search through thousands of files on several drives.
Well, maybe not "little" as such. My library (which I admit I haven't cleaned the duplicates and deleted files out of for a while) currently contains roughly 75000 videos, and with the associated thumbnails, scrubber sprites and all that the Stash data folder is currently standing at a little over 300Gb. It took a few days to scan through everything and create all the previews and such when I first ran it, but as long as you run the scan function on a regular basis it shouldn't take more than a few minutes even if you've grabbed a fair bit.
The video player is a little bit troublesome sometimes, as it struggles with a few videos I have that play perfectly well in VLC, though there aren't too many of those. The player could also do with a few more keybinds for skipping through a video as some of the jumps are a bit long, but I can live with that.
I've been playing around with getting some of the automatic functions to work but not had much luck. What I was hoping to do was run the renamer plugin to modify my files so that they'd include the title, studio and date of production, but I can't seem to get it to work. If you have any luck then please do let me know what you did.
One of the best features is the ability to grab info for a video. I've been through a lot of mine and managed to download the proper titles, tags, descriptions, performers, studios, dates... You definitely need to take some time to do this properly as you can get a lot of erroneous results for some videos, but the result is well worth it.
I also like the ability to group individual scenes together as they appear on the DVDs. It means I can get rid of a lot of files where I had the whole DVD but then discovered all the scenes as separate files in my library too. Now they can play in the same sequence as the DVD, but I can still treat each scene individually too.

RE: Suggestion for uploadposted in Uploading
@lance81 Check the site rules again. All upload requests are banned. I have seen members get banned for what looked like their first offence, so my advice would be to not even try.
