I have mentioned that there are 4 liberal, 4 conservative, and one swing Supreme Court Justices.
Three of the liberals are quite elderly and could retire or die at any time.
However, I just found out that the swing vote Kennedy who is 80 years old might retire within a month!

That would probably result in 5 conservative vs 4 liberal justices. 
Thanks to moonbat Harry Reid - who didn't anticipate that the Republican's would take over all 3 branches of government, It only takes a simple majority of 51% to confirm justices now.. called the "nuclear option" instead of 60% as was previously the case.

Three, and this is the big one- you think "Freedom of Religion" automatically makes all beliefs no longer bigoted. That is just not true.

What Bernie Sanders did to Russell Vought is deplorable. He called Vought "islamophobic" for believing that only Christians are guaranteed eternal life and that all else will go to hell. First of all, it's Vought's right to hold that belief. Second of all, that belief is not "islamophobic." The overwhelming majority of Christians believe that Jesus is the only savior and believe in Hell; therefore, Bernie just called the overwhelming majority of Christians "islamophobes." I am a Christian and I am not an "islamophobe," Bernie. Third, what the hell does Vought being a freaking Christian have to do with his nomination by our president to be the deputy director of the Office of Management and Budget? We do not have religious tests in this country and Bernie subjected Vought to a religious test. I already was never a supporter of Bernie but now I'm speaking out against him. He owes Russell Vought an apology and he owes an apology to Christians around the world.
I would like to have a civil debate on this without childish irrational comments or deflection/derailment because this is an important argument about religious hypocrisy on the left

Something you left out is that it's interesting that Bernie has such a problem with Christians.. when he is one of the so-called "chosen people" a Jew.  Anybody picking on someone who is Jewish gets branded as being "anti-Semitic", and yet, they don't shy away from condemning other people.  I can think of a lot of great jewish people.. who are great.  They are non-practicing jews, lapsed jews, etc.  People often fail to distinguish ethnic jews from religious jews.  The Jewish RELIGION - as other religions - is crap.

Another hot topic is equality rights and social services, and who should have access to what. Something I see a lot is anti abortion discussions, while also seeing laws trying to get passed that are denying free healthcare supports to prevent the pregnancies in the first place. If a woman doesn't want to have a kid, can't afford a kid, but is forced to have it anyway.. that's just fucked up. There are enough kids in unfortunate situations already, why support any policies that are forcing people to have more? Why support any policy that takes control away from a women about their own body? It's their body to decide what to do with.

The abortion issue should NOT be what is determining who is leading the country, but it has become very close to that.  A massive amount of Hillary's support came from women who want to protect their god given right to have as many guilt-free, taxpayer paid for, abortions on demand as they want.  There are far too many bitches having abortions.  I agree that having an abortion in the first trimester is better than crippling many lives in the future.. however.. Hillary was boldly defending the right to have an abortion up until the very day of delivery!  That is NUTS.  If a woman hasn't made her mind up by 6 months.. well.. you waited too long bitch.  How's this for an idea?  What if the man doesn't want the baby?  Should he be allowed to force the girl to have an abortion?  If not, should he be allowed to disavow himself of any responsibility for the baby? 
Breeders are quite often fucked up in the head.  Who could stick their dick in a vagina, knowing that a baby could result, and they have no intention of keeping that baby?  SICK!

There are some things that should NOT be political issues.. religion is one.. abortion is another..

For those of us old enough to remember.. which is probably most of us.. the talk shows of the past very rarely got political.  There was Johnny Carson, David Letterman (while at NBC), Joan Rivers, Arsenio Hall, Alan Thicke.. and not much else.  None of them dwelled upon politics. 
Now, ALL of them do!  It doesn't make sense that every late night show should devote the first 10 to 15 minutes of every show to attacking Trump.  Some of them have enough talent to change their formats - such as James Corden, Jimmy Fallon, Conan O'Brien.. but what will talentless losers such as Trevor Noah, Seth Meyers, and Stephen Colbert do?  Colbert used to be funny, but is washed up now.  His last gasp at a comeback was going all-in attacking Trump mercilessly, but now he can't continue to shock people enough to get them to watch his boring show. 
What will SNL do now?  That show has been on life support for a LONG LONG time.. and the only thing keeping it going was its incessant attacks on Trump.  What will they do now?

BEFORE the 2016 campaign heated up, all those shows barely survived.  But now.. they have polarized their audiences into people with brains who stopped watching them, and moonbats who have temporarily been watching those shows to feed their own silly ideas.  Now that they have run out of material to feed the moonbats.. they will leave.. and I doubt many of the people with active brain cells will return.

Ivanka and Jarred are both democrats. Neither have ever voted for republicans. They have given small donations to republicans but nothing compared to what they give to democrats. Hell! Even Trump played both sides of the fence for the longest time. He never voted for a republican until 2012. Before that, he was a democrat in the same way as his kids.

While it is true that Trump was once a registered as democrat.. the democrats of that era are not the same as the Obama democrats. Reagan used to be registered as a democrat also.  I don't know why you and Sutieday keep insisting that Ivanka and Jared are both democrats.  You just make shit up and post it, which is why you have no credibility.  Keep on digging yourself in, because the next time you post that fallacy, I will prove I am right.. I think Frederick oversimplifies the dynamics of a supreme court case. While each justice has a dominant ideology, they rightly should consider each case on its merits and it would be premature to predict how any would vote in any particular case.  A big hint ill come as to how they rule on the motion to put the ban into effect until they rule on the merits.  And remember, they may decide not to hear the case at all, which would leave the lower court orders in place, or may wait until the lower courts rule on the merits.

BTW, all you Trump supporters out there, answer me this:  the original Executive order placed a temporary 120 day hold on immigration from 7 countries while stronger vetting measures could be developed.  More than 120 days have passed since then.  Where are the stronger vetting measures?  He was just trying to fulfill a campaign promise.

Ideally, all the justices should base each case on it's own merit.. but unfortunately, that is not the way it works.  Both parties are guilty of "going with the pack" but the democraps are far more guilty of it.  Democraps RARELY split from the pack and vote their own conscience.  That goes for congress as well.

The original executive order indefinitely barred Syrian refugees from entering the United States, suspended all refugee admissions for 120 days and blocked citizens of seven Muslim-majority countries, refugees or otherwise, from entering the United States for 90 days: Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria and Yemen.  However, that order was blocked.  He revised the order, and the revised order also got blocked.  Until the blocks are cleared, nothing can be done. I don't think you will be seeing a whole lot more blocks, because the moonbats are retreating back into their caves.

You are correct.  Any judge would have to recuse themselves, but a judge makes decisions all on their own.  A supreme court justice is supposed to recuse themselves, but of course, Ginsburg won't, because she is a corrupt, biased, bitch.  A Justice can't really make any decision on their own - which is their "check" in power.  They are but 1 of 9.

However, as I pointed out yesterday.. it doesn't matter what Ginsburg does.  If Kennedy votes conservative, the vote will be either a 5 to 3 or 5 to 4 win for the conservatives depending on whether Ginsburg recuses itself or not.  Kennedy tends to vote conservative.
