      @sutieday:

      I like the change, the politics & debate section really flooded the recent forum section of the homepage. But, It makes it a little harder to upvote/downvote new posts/topics by adding more clicks.

      WOW!  Sutieday finally ADMITS IT!
      Oh how sad that it is now a little harder for him to upvote / downvote!
      I told you all that he was doing this.. constantly, and instantly, without even reading the content of the posts he was upvoting/downvoting.

      @strangeloop:

      @aadam101:

      I don't agree with you politically but at least your posts have some substance. Mhorndisk, Frederick and Strangeloop (aka Frederick) have nothing to say.  They just come to insult liberals and make as many posts as possible for the SPB.  They are just spammers.

      For the last time, I'm not frederick.  The site-wide rules clearly state that only one account is allowed per person.  If I am the same as another poster, then I should be banned.

      But of course, I'm not, and you know this.

      You are clearly crossing a line here.

      So all you are doing is insulting and being extremely childish, which is clearly hypocritical given that you accuse others of doing so.

      You are literally the worst offender when it comes to insulting people and spreading hate, and a major reason I made the post proving the hypocrisy of liberals on these forums.

      So unbelievably hypocritical of a liberal proving once again the title of this thread, as it is every single day on this forum.

      They just come to insult and make as many posts as possible for the SPB.

      I see you are criticizing Drwas here.  Good job on calling out your own for once.

      Wow.. accused of being me?  What an honor!
      What is SPB?

      @pppucci:

      Don't hold your breath, anyone.  I lived in Puerto Rico for 8 years and understand the politics there.  The 23% turnout represents a boycott by those against statehood.  Turnout for gubernatorial elections is usually over 90%.  The true sentiment about statehood in Puerto Rico is about 50:50.  Even worse, Congress has ignored Puerto Ricans' wishes in the past and has no appetite for granting it statehood.

      I remember that long ago, Puerto Rico consistently resisted becoming a state.  I'm not sure that they can become a state just because they want to become a state.

      I'm sure that all flag manufacturers would love it.. so they could sell new flags to everybody.

    • RE: Citing “Religious Tradition”, New Jersey Won’t Ban Child Marriage

      @mhorndisk:

      I think in Hawaii you can be 14. It's a difficult subject, and I'm not sure what to think about it, because as I get older, I like older guys. I have never been interested in men under 24, except when I was under 18, so I don't get it.
      I don't think a 60 year old should be marrying a 14 year old under any circumstances, but people will do what they want without the courts.
      I think I'm ok under certain circumstances if a 14 year old gets married to someone up to 17 or 18.
      I think I'm ok if a 16 year old marries someone up to 22 or 23.
      After 18 you can do what you want, but under 14 I don't think is ok under any circumstances.
      I know it's only a four year window from 14-18 but this is another reason we don't want Sharia Law, so we don't have 60 year olds marrying 3 year olds. There needs to be a line drawn somewhere. I understand that a 12 year old is very well into puberty, but it's still a developing phase. Why do they HAVE to get married right now anyway? They can wait til their 18 and no harm will be done upon them. It isn't like they're really even paying taxes or fully integrated into the system to where it will matter anyway. 18 is a good number to shoot for, and if it lasts, great. Time goes by so fast, I don't see the big deal on making them wait until they're 18. I think that's reasonable. But I suspect people will continue to push the boundaries and marry as young as 3 or 4 just because they're sick. We definitely cannot allow that.

      Currently in Hawaii, you have to be 18 to be married without parental consent, 16 with parental consent.
      It's quite ironic that until Pope Francis, the age of consent according to the Vatican was 12!

    • LGBTQ bullshit

      I never understood the concept of combining gays, lesbians, trans.  To me they are all quite DIFFERENT.  I am even offended by it. I'm sure that straight people would not like to be lumped into  SPBIC  - Straight,  Pedophiles, Bestiality, Incestuous, Cross Dressers (most cross dressers are straight).

      It's also quite ironic that feminists and lesbians are often the same people.  Seems to me that the OPPOSITE of being a feminine is being a lesbian.

      She should be sent to Saudi so they can "corrective rape" her, then stone her to death.    I mean, it's the best thing for her, since it's islam.

      I completely forgot about "corrective rape"!  Yes, muslims find ways to justify murder, torture, and rape.. as if they are good things!  AND practice it.

      As for other religions doing it too.. that is not relevant.  It's horrible when anybody does it.  Just because some other religion did it does not make it OK.

      @Dene:

      Crap like this just makes my opinion stronger - All religion is BS! And should never be involved in politics/legal systems.. no matter the reason. If we, as a society, let religion dictate our values/morals then we are in deep trouble.. no matter the rule, no matter the religion.

      Religions were the original forms of governing society.  They are essentially designed to control people who are either ignorant or refuse to think for themselves.  In many cases, that is a GOOD thing!  However, the concept of religion is now obsolete, and inadequate to address the issues facing the modern world.  Religions are at best some "good ideas" and should not be extended beyond that.

      Unfortunately, we are in the situation where about half the population is incapable of distinguishing "right" from "wrong", and that is going to be a bigger problem in the future.

    • RE: Puerto Rico votes in favor of statehood

      @sutieday:

      Puerto Rico voted overwhelmingly in favor of statehood on Sunday in a referendum that begins the steps toward sending representatives to Washington, D.C.

      According to the Wall Street Journal, 97 percent voted for statehood, though turnout was only about 23 percent. One and a half percent voted for independence from the United States, according to Decision Desk HQ, while 1.3 percent voted to keep the current status of a territory of the United States.

      Hahaha Trumpkins! A new Democrat state coming! Republicans will never win again!!! HAHAHA!

      http://thehill.com/homenews/news/337347-puerto-rico-votes-in-favor-of-statehood

      3 electoral votes for Puerto Rico would not mean diddly squat.  By the way, the reason Puerto Rico now wants to be a state is because they are bankrupt.

      Trump won the 2016 election with 306 to 232 electoral votes.  When you factor in the electors that flipped, that comes to (306 -3 + 5) to (232 + 2 -5)  or 308 to 229.. a difference of 79 electoral votes.  Trump got 35% more electoral votes than Hillary, which is astonishing because all the polls had her winning by 20%.  A gap of 55%!  Looks like the polls were quite WRONG.

      Anyway.. take you 3 electoral votes and stuff them.  he won by 79 electoral votes.

      It's interesting that the big push for electors to change their votes backfired.  Eight electors attempted to flip their vote from Hillary - with 5 succeeding.  Three electors attempted to flip their votes from Trump - with 2 succeeding and 1 more that resigned rather than cast a vote that nobody got.

    • But they did it too! WAHH!

      Obviously there is wrongdoing in every political party.. (the vast majority of it being with the liberals)..
      But it is very interesting that the excuse liberals like to give is.. "But they did it too!"  as if that make's it OK!
      When conservatives do something wrong, they don't behave like 2 year olds.

      Liberals have a knack for behaving like 2 year olds.

      Here's dem rep John Lewis throwing yet another of his tantrums.  Lewis has been arrested at least 45 times.  Send his ass to Texas where they have a 3 strike rule!  In these photos, it looks like John Lewis didn't get his apple juice and pudding cup.  He sooo sad!  WAHH!

      By the way.. this tantrum of last year ended with John Lewis giving up because nobody was about to give in to him. He vowed to continue his sit in for as long as it took.. but gave up after 2 days.

    • RE: DUMBLIBS: ONLY THING THAT DIDN'T LEAK: They KNEW Trump wasn't being INVESTIGATED

      @pppucci:

      @mhorndisk:

      Back to the subject: Chaffetz's, "so-called," leak, was not a leak, because it was not classified information. You just believed CNN when they told you it was a "leak." They lied to you, sorry. And you fell for it, because you guys always just believe the things you WANT to hear. That's what keeps you coming back to CNN, and they can sell you Coca-Cola and McDonald's advertisements during the break. They know what you want to hear. They are actors. They are selling you on what you want to hear, creating a narrative, weaving a web of lies, because you can't handle the Truth.

      It was Trump that called Comey a leaker, and that memo was not classified.  And Trump could have always announced he was not under investigation, even if that was classified.  Stop deflecting.

      Trump DID announce that he was not under investigation, but the media didn't believe him.  Even after Comey confirmed that he told Trump 3 times that he wasn't under investigation..  senile senator Feinstein still wants an investigation to see if he was investigated!  If that investigation doesn't pan out, I'm sure some other moonbat will want an investigation to determine if the investigation that was to see if Trump was investigated was correct or not.

      Something doesn't have to be classified to be a leak.
      If they classified every single thing, then the stuff that really needed to be classified would have no special significance.

      Repeating something said in PRIVATE is considered confidential, and that is what Comey leaked.

    • RE: Possible wrinkle in Supreme Court

      @pppucci:

      @Frederick:

      I have mentioned that there are 4 liberal, 4 conservative, and one swing Supreme Court Justices.
      Three of the liberals are quite elderly and could retire or die at any time.
      However, I just found out that the swing vote Kennedy who is 80 years old might retire within a month!

      That would probably result in 5 conservative vs 4 liberal justices.
      Thanks to moonbat Harry Reid - who didn't anticipate that the Republican's would take over all 3 branches of government, It only takes a simple majority of 51% to confirm justices now.. called the "nuclear option" instead of 60% as was previously the case.

      And surely some conservatives are trying to slip arsenic into Ruth Bader Ginsberg's cereal.

      You mean like the way they killed of perfectly healthy Scalia and didn't do the mandatory autopsy?

      Giving arsenic to that witch Ginsburg would do no good.  She thrives on poison.

    • Big problem for the moonbats..

      I just noticed something while surfing the internet.
      The news media don't really give a damn about anything other than churning out stories, and filling their quota of content.
      They have been feasting upon a mountain of fake news, speculation, assumptions, and other nonsense.
      Now that many of those fires are being put out.. the news media are beginning to attack moonbats.

      Take a look at this gem from today.. Obama - right where he belongs.. prison!

      @gaypraha2:

      why has the owner of the site censored the forum on homepage? is it because of the politics part of forum? it just says " 2017-06-11 - Recent Forum Topics  we just removed the (for some people offending) recent forum topics from our homepage. " if so then liberals almost won.

      That is probably a good idea.. however, it would be nice to see some of the forum topics that are related to gay stuff.
      Sometimes it's good to see what movies are very popular.

      I have found that censorship caters to the moonbats.. and in almost all cases, the censorship backfires upon the moonbats.

      Whoops.. Obama is only responsible for $10 trillion in debt.  The other half was all previous 43 administrations COMBINED.

      Yet another liberal has asked the site own to get rid of me because of my "toxic republican propaganda".

      I see that only liberals are allowed to have an opinion and everyone else must be banned.     I guess if this was a building, they'd have set it on fire to prevent me from expressing my views.

      It never ceases to amaze me that the liberals who are constantly justifying themselves with "freedom of speech" are always the first ones to complain, demand investigations, boycott, riot, etc.
      It's like a child playing a board game, in which rather than admit defeat, they throw the board and all the pieces.
      I wonder if the people complaining know that they are risking having their account terminated.
      This is a forum of DEBATE.. not a forum of COMPLAINT.  There is no requirement to read the forum.   There is no requirement to pay to be a member of this site.
      I would suggest that the people complaining try complaining in the chat room.   You will last about 5 seconds… like this  "complaint. 1..2..3..4..5.. P00F!"
