      @flozen:

      @abcddddd:

      Normally I'd just keep it to myself and move on, but I'd like to save some of the more functioning forum-goers some unnecessary stress.

      At the very least, Frederick and mhorndisk are straight up trolls. In the sense that they're behaving like rabid Trump supporters on a gay forum for behind the scenes chuckles. Possibly raphjd too. Some (most) of the stuff they say is borderline caricature and completely written for provocation and outrage.

      Just consider this a possibility before you respond to anything they say.

      There's more than a little truth in your assessment, abcddddd, but you happened to walk in during a period where we are discussing the reduction of name-attached, personal characterizations.  You're a casual user, though, and so your post is probably influenced by the hundreds of such posts that have been permitted, unfortunately, to flourish in recent times.

      In any case, a small number of us are trying to restore the proper functioning of this forum, currently a dumping ground for writers who seek to do little more than provoke and outrage.  (Actually, that's prohibited by forum rules.)

      We (and I'm guessing, you) would prefer that the Politics & Debate board follow GT's written rules of conduct, established in part to shut down repeated and "warned" flamers, lovers of vulgarity, and off-topic distractions.

      A new post that addresses many of your observations:

      https://forum.gaytorrent.ru/index.php?topic=50735.msg275679#msg275679

      In any case, nice to have the input, you alphabet lover!

      Have you run out of things to bitch about?  This is a repeat of one of your previous messages.
      That is another example of spam.
      Even Sutieday finally posted a meaningful message today!  I even UPvoted his comment!

      If I started enforcing the rules in the way liberals want, you'd be crying on the help desk far more than you guys do now.

      Oddly, liberals violate the rules as much, if not more, than the conservatives but complain about the rules not being followed/enforced almost exclusively.

      And that's the truth!

    • Trumps popularity is skyrocketing

      Some yoyos keep posting polls indicating Trump's popularity sinking.
      Have we not learned about polls yet?

      About 2 years ago, the corrupt fraud conservative Stephen Harper was supposed to easily win another term as Prime Minister of Canada.. he LOST!

      7 months ago, Hitlary Cliton was ahead 20% in the polls and seemingly everybody (except me) was convinced she would win.. she LOST (despite spending 4 times as much as Trump).

      Last year with Brexit, the polls said that Britain would vote to stay in the EU, but surprise surprise.. they voted to EXIT the EU.

      A couple of weeks ago.. an election was held in the UK that was supposed to be won by Elizabeth May by at least 20%.. however, she lost so many seats in parliament that she no longer has a majority and is scrambling to figure out how to govern.

      In a special election in Georgia that is taking place today, this dweeb aniti-trump moonbat Jon (Ass Jackoff) Ossoff running against Karen Handel and was supposed to win by a huge margin, and had spent over 10 times as much as Handel.. yet it looks like Handel will win.

      This silly polls that bozos keep referring to are worse than useless.  Polls have become a tool of propaganda.

      On the other hand.. take a look at a REAL measure of popularity… the Dow Jones Average.  From 18,332 on election day.. and now an all time high of 21,514.    An increase of 17.4% in just 7 months since Trump won the election!  Whoo hoo!   :cheers:

      Mark Fuckerberg has aspirations of becoming president.  Dream on gingerbread man.

      Here's some interesting photos.
      Except when he is wearing a suit that his mommy picked out for him, he wears the same thing every day.. a gray pullover with no collar and blue jeans.    In fact, from the look of that photo.. the facebook uniform is blue jeans.

      This one floored me.  On Fuckerberg's OWN Facebook account, he has not one.. not two.. not three.. not four.. not five.. but TWELVE people constantly monitoring his Facebook page and deleting comments they don't like.  Can anybody say "censorship"?  Also.. I think it is against Facebook's policies to have someone else other than the account owner accessing that members account.

      @Spintendo:

      Le Pen Loses Luster, Signaling Far Right’s Retreat in France, and Maybe Beyond
      By Adam Nossiter of The New York Times
      June 16, 2017

      SOISSONS, France — Just this spring, Marine Le Pen’s presidential campaign drew vast crowds who enthusiastically embraced her National Front’s nationalist, anti-immigrant vision of France. This week in Soissons however, Ms. Le Pen was greeted by only a few dozen somber National Front activists in a drab meeting hall. Even hecklers didn’t bother: Just a handful of weak-voiced protesters quickly dispersed. Ms. Le Pen’s party, crushed by Emmanuel Macron’s 66% in the presidential runoff in May, fared dismally in last Sunday’s legislative elections. It is a head-spinning turnabout that reflects, at least for now, the fizzling of Ms. Le Pen’s fortunes in France.

      The National Front’s retreat also adds to the impression that far-right populism is losing its appeal more broadly. That retrenchment has been aided by the steady sagging of the Trump administration under an air of scandal, and the belated British realization that pulling out of the European Union may not be as fast, easy and excellent as voters were led to believe. Ms. Le Pen once dreamed of leading the principal opposition party to Mr. Macron and of marshaling a hundred or more parliamentary deputies to push the Front’s harsh nationalist agenda. Now she could well end up as the party’s only member of the National Assembly.

      It is a lonely place to be, and it left the once-buoyant Ms. Le Pen, still looking exhausted from the sleepless presidential campaign, defensive and denouncing a “gigantic scandal for democracy” to reporters in Soissons this week. But if the champion of France’s populist far right is now contemplating years of political marginalization, she has largely herself to blame, in the eyes of analysts as well as many in her own party. They say she is paying a bitter price for an incoherent message badly delivered.

      Now her party faces a new round of painful existential questioning over what it can do to revive itself. Support for the far right has close to evaporated, at least at the polls: From an already disappointing 34% in the May 7 presidential vote, it dropped to barely over 13% in last Sunday’s first-round parliamentary elections. The National Front has been blasted into insignificance with only 120 Front candidates making it to the second round of voting for the 577-seat chamber.

      I don't know much about France.. but I get the impression that their government is ALWAYS in turmoil, and the country is unstable.  No matter who is in power, the population hates them.

    • RE: Georgia’s Special Election Couldn’t Look Much Closer

      @sutieday:

      he special election to fill a congressional seat in Georgia’s 6th District may be anyone’s game, according to the final round of polling on the race.

      Earlier surveys gave Democrat Jon Ossoff, who was backed by record levels of fundraising, a slight edge over Republican Karen Handel, whom he led by 2 to 3 points in most surveys. Ossoff led by 7 points in both a WXIA-TV poll conducted by SurveyUSA in May and an Atlanta Journal-Constitution survey from Abt SRBI in early June.

      A subsequent SurveyUSA poll, however, found the race tied, as did a second poll conducted for WSB-TV. One survey, from the GOP-affiliated Trafalgar Group, gave the edge to Handel, although it remains the only recent poll to do so.

      Given the margin of error inherent in any survey ― not to mention the added difficulty of predicting who will turn out to vote in an off-year House runoff ― and the race looks about as close as it can get.

      “We’re seeing this now an almost dead even race into the final 24 hours,” GOP pollster Mark Rountree, who conducted the WSB-TV survey, told the station. Both Handel and Ossoff described the race Monday as “neck and neck.”

    • RE: Democratic and GOP Governors Urge Senate To Rethink Health Care Bill

      @sutieday:

      A bipartisan group of governors has a message for Senate leaders about health care reform: Slow your roll.

      Republican governors John Kasich of Ohio, Brian Sandoval of Nevada, and Charlie Baker of Massachusetts joined Democratic governors Steve Bullock of Montana, John Bel Edwards of Louisiana, John Hickenlooper of Colorado, and Tom Wolf of Pennsylvania in a letter Friday to Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.).

      “We have watched with great interest the recent debate and House passage of H.R. 1628, the American Health Care Act,” the letter begins. “While we certainly agree that reforms need to be made to our nation’s health care system, as governors from both sides of the political aisle, we feel that true and lasting reforms are best approached by finding common ground in a bipartisan fashion.”

      http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/democratic-and-gop-governors-urge-senate-to-rethink-health-care-bill_us_59442a7ee4b01eab7a2d8cb9

      I'm not familiar with Sandoval and Baker.. but John Kasich is not a republican.  He belongs to the republican party, but he despises Trump so much that he is an honorary moonbat.  Talk about insane… Kasich stayed in the race until the very end.. even though he never had a chance of winning the nomination.  At least JEB! knew when to get out of the race.  In fact, the only other republican candidate that had a chance to win the nomination was Cruz.. but that was made impossible because Kasich wouldn't get out of the race.

      By the way.. what do you suppose the odds are that the Senate is going to be influenced by what some governors suggest?  Those odds would be zero.

      A deafening silence from the usual big mouths on this board as well.  Also, the imam stepped in to promote peace and prevented the crowd from tearing the man apart.

      In the TV show "Kung Fu", Master Po once said to young Caine "Do you hear the grasshopper at your feet?"  and Caine replies "no, old man, how may I hear these things also?"  And the wise old man says "Confucius say: to hear, one only need to get shit out of ears!"

It is NOT a message to resist those who oppose me. It is NOT a message about resisting the president. It is NOT a message in support of communism, the far-left or Antifa. I am a freaking free speech loving Christian capitalist for Christ's sake  :laugh: Liberal is not synonymous with far-left extremism, it's just one way to define one portion of our very large and complex political spectrum.

      Liberal didn't USED to be synonymous with the far-left.. but it has become that way because the looney left has dominated the media (eg:  Seth Myers, Don Lemon, Stephen Colbert, Rachel Madcow)

      @royalcrown89:

      @strangeloop:

      @royalcrown89:

      My new signature, to me, is to promote a resistance to the staus quo and that to truly move on we must find some form of common ground and use it to start building better dialogue.

      The image itself, the word, even the color choice are both associated with Antifa and Communism.

      Look up  "resist" on google images. These images are similar, and they are all associated with far-left, often violent rhetoric.

      So the language, the image, the color palette, all these three things are all associated with the violent far left.

      Look, I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt that all of these choices may have been unintentional and/or subconscious.  But if you're going to continue insisting that simply pointing out these obvious associations is me "just making a huge assumption" about you, and not simply pointing out clear associations; if you're going to continue trying to gaslight me into thinking like I'm trying to pull some armchair psychoanalyst crap here;

      Then I'm going to have to tell you to fuck right off with your intellectually dishonest uncivil horseshit.

      But of course, I don't want to do that, I DO want things to be more civil around here.

      We can start here.  Whether intentional or not, your banner conveys far left extremism that is not AT ALL conducive to civil dialogue between people of opposing views.

      I am not changing my signature banner because that's not why I made it. If you feel that way, then that's on YOU. I have never said anything in support of Antifa or the far left; therefore, I do no support them. I have been VERY outspoken against liberals committing violence to prevent free speech. VERY OUTSPOKEN. I have also called out BLM on here multiple times and have said they need to be criticized more. I have stated that social platforms like YouTube and Facebook unfairly target conservatives and remove their content no matter what the intention, yet leave up far-left things and never remove far-left extremist, even when they make threats. You have absolutely no proof that I have taken up for Antifa or the far-left or that I made my banner with them in mind. Stop making huge assumptions or you indeed are trying to bring incivility to this thread. You cannot deem something I made as far left extremism unless you have damning proof that I support far left extremism. I have freedom of expression and I created that banner to tell everyone here to resist the status quo and let's start, no matter who we are, a foundation to build on to encourage more civility. Sorry, but you don't get to tell me what something I created is or isn't.

      I think your banner is good.. because it clearly indicates your perspective on things.   If that's what floats your boat.. fine.

      Tim Farron finally quit as leader of the UK's LibDem party (leftists).     He is a homophobe and religious nutter, yet his party supported him as leader.

      So tell me again how it's the conservatives who are homophobes.

      Does the existence of liberal homophobia make conservative homophobia disappear?

      You are dodging the point of that message.   The demoboobs would have everyone believe that they are the party that is supportive of homosexuality, while the conservatives are the homophobes.  Nonsense!

      Youtube Video

      By the way.. it never occurred to me why gay people would want to get married.. I found a good reason while surfing the internet today… by being married, it eliminates the "shame" factor for a lot of gay people.   I would suppose that being married also gives the impression that people are monogamous instead of boning someone different every night of the week.
